Samsung appears to be preparing its next-generation flagship tablet lineup, with the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra recently spotted in the Bluetooth SIG certification database.

According to technology media outlet SamMobile, traces of both tablets were discovered on the official Bluetooth SIG website, providing an early indication that Samsung is moving closer to launching the next generation of its premium Android tablets.

The latest information also aligns with earlier reports suggesting that both models will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 flagship mobile platform. While Samsung has yet to officially announce the tablets, the emerging details point to incremental upgrades over the current Galaxy Tab S11 family rather than a major redesign.

Bluetooth SIG Certification Reveals Wi-Fi and Cellular Models

The appearance of the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra on the Bluetooth SIG certification platform is one of the clearest signs yet that Samsung is developing the new tablets.

According to the certification information, both models are expected to be available in Wi-Fi-only and cellular versions.

Offering both configurations would allow Samsung to target a broad range of users. Wi-Fi models can appeal to consumers who primarily use their tablets at home, school, or the office, while cellular versions provide greater flexibility for users who need mobile connectivity while traveling.

Bluetooth certification does not reveal every specification, but it indicates that Samsung is progressing through the necessary certification process ahead of a potential commercial launch.

MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Expected to Power Both Tablets

One of the most notable aspects of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 series is its reported processor choice.

Previous reports have indicated that both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 flagship chipset.

This would represent an interesting strategy for Samsung’s premium tablet lineup. Rather than relying exclusively on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon platform, Samsung appears to be considering MediaTek’s latest high-end chip for both tablet models.

The Dimensity 9500 is expected to provide strong CPU and GPU performance while supporting demanding applications, gaming, multitasking, and AI-related workloads.

For large-screen Android devices, sustained performance is particularly important because tablets are increasingly being used for productivity as well as entertainment.

Design Expected to Follow the Galaxy Tab S11 Series

In terms of appearance, Samsung reportedly plans to maintain the design language introduced with the Galaxy Tab S11 series.

That means users should not expect a dramatic external redesign.

Instead, Samsung appears to be focusing on internal upgrades while retaining a familiar premium tablet design. This approach could allow the company to refine the existing form factor without making major changes to accessories, cases, or the overall user experience.

For consumers who already like the appearance and ergonomics of Samsung’s current flagship tablets, the relatively familiar design could be a positive.

Galaxy Tab S12+: 12.4-Inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.

The panel is reportedly capable of supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, which should provide smoother scrolling, animations, and gaming compared with standard 60Hz displays.

Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED technology is one of the major strengths of its premium tablets. The combination of OLED technology, high contrast, vibrant colors, and a high refresh rate makes the large display suitable for both entertainment and productivity.

A 12.4-inch screen also provides a useful middle ground between portability and workspace, making the S12+ potentially attractive to users who want a tablet that can replace a laptop for lighter workloads without moving to an extremely large device.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra: 14.6-Inch Large-Format Display

The flagship Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to retain an enormous 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.

The Ultra model is clearly designed for users who want the largest possible workspace in a tablet form factor.

A display of this size can be particularly useful for:

Multitasking

Document editing

Digital drawing

Video editing

Presentations

Gaming

Media consumption

The larger panel also provides more room for Samsung’s multitasking interface and S Pen-related workflows.

If Samsung maintains the display characteristics of the previous generation, the Ultra should remain one of the largest and most premium Android tablets available.

Large Batteries for Extended Use

Battery capacity is another area where the two tablets are expected to offer substantial specifications.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is reportedly equipped with a 10,600mAh battery, while the larger Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to feature an 11,600mAh battery.

Large battery capacities are particularly important for tablets because their large displays can consume considerable power during video playback, gaming, multitasking, and productivity workloads.

The combination of large batteries and an efficient flagship processor could help the S12 series deliver strong endurance for users who spend long periods away from a charger.

Actual battery life will, of course, depend on display brightness, refresh rate, network connectivity, application usage, and other factors.

Wi-Fi and Cellular Connectivity

Samsung is reportedly planning both Wi-Fi and cellular variants of the Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra.

The cellular versions could be particularly useful for professionals and frequent travelers who want a connected tablet without depending on a smartphone hotspot.

For users primarily using their tablet at home or in locations with reliable wireless networks, the Wi-Fi versions could offer a more economical alternative.

The Bluetooth SIG appearance also confirms that wireless connectivity remains an important part of Samsung’s next-generation tablet platform.

A Familiar but More Powerful Galaxy Tab Experience

Based on the information currently available, Samsung’s approach with the Galaxy Tab S12 series appears to focus on refinement rather than reinvention.

The design is expected to remain close to the Galaxy Tab S11 family, while the major upgrades could come from the processor, display technology, battery capacity, and connectivity options.

The use of the Dimensity 9500 could provide a substantial performance boost, while the large AMOLED displays and high-capacity batteries should preserve the characteristics that define Samsung’s premium tablet lineup.

Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra: Expected Highlights

Galaxy Tab S12+

12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display

Up to 120Hz refresh rate

MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor

10,600mAh battery

Wi-Fi and cellular versions

Design similar to the Galaxy Tab S11 series

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra

14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display

MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor

11,600mAh battery

Wi-Fi and cellular versions

Similar design to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

Large-format display designed for productivity and entertainment

Final Thoughts

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra are shaping up to be relatively evolutionary upgrades, but the reported hardware could still make them among the most capable Android tablets of the next generation.

The appearance of both models on the Bluetooth SIG certification database suggests that development is progressing, while previous reports pointing to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 provide an indication of the performance platform Samsung may use.

The S12+ is expected to offer a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and 10,600mAh battery, while the Ultra model could combine a huge 14.6-inch AMOLED display with an 11,600mAh battery.

If Samsung retains the premium build quality and software experience of its existing Galaxy Tab lineup while adding MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset, the new tablets could provide a compelling combination of large-screen productivity, high-end performance, long battery life, and multimedia capabilities.

Samsung has yet to officially confirm the Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra, so the specifications and features currently circulating should be treated as preliminary. More details, including pricing, launch timing, exact display specifications, memory configurations, and regional availability, are expected to emerge ahead of the official announcement.

The leaked images suggest that Samsung will largely retain the design language introduced with the previous Galaxy Tab S11 series, while upgrading the internal hardware and software.

According to a report from Sammyguru, the renders provide a clear look at the front design of both upcoming tablets, as well as a new set of Samsung wallpapers. The Galaxy Tab S12 series is expected to make its official debut in September 2026 as part of Samsung’s annual flagship tablet refresh.

Familiar Galaxy Tab S11-Inspired Design

Based on the leaked renders, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will retain much of the visual identity of their predecessors.

The front panels appear largely unchanged, with Samsung continuing to use slim bezels and a minimalist tablet design. There are reportedly no major changes to the overall screen proportions or front-facing appearance.

For users familiar with the Galaxy Tab S11 family, the new tablets may therefore look immediately recognizable rather than representing a major redesign.

The Ultra Model Keeps Its Notch

One of the more interesting details concerns the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.

Earlier rumors suggested that Samsung could abandon the notch used by the previous Ultra model and move to a punch-hole camera design. However, the newly leaked renders indicate that Samsung may once again retain the notch for the front-facing camera system.

If accurate, Samsung will have chosen continuity over a cleaner full-screen appearance for another generation. That could also mean a more significant front-camera redesign may not arrive until a future Galaxy Tab Ultra model.

New Blue-Purple “S” Wallpaper

While the hardware design appears familiar, Samsung is expected to introduce a new collection of wallpapers with the Galaxy Tab S12 series.

The leaked wallpaper features a bright blue-to-purple gradient with a prominent letter “S” positioned in the center. Compared with the more restrained visual themes commonly associated with Samsung’s flagship tablets, the new design appears more colorful and dynamic.

Samsung typically introduces new wallpapers alongside its major flagship products, making the appearance of these images another indication that the Tab S12 series is moving toward its official launch.

MediaTek 9500 Expected to Power the Series

Under the hood, both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra are expected to receive a significant performance upgrade.

Reports indicate that Samsung could equip both models with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. If confirmed, this would represent a notable change from previous Galaxy Tab flagship generations and could give the tablets strong performance for demanding applications, gaming, multitasking, and creative workloads.

The tablets are also expected to run One UI 9, Samsung’s latest Android-based software platform.

Samsung could further strengthen the long-term appeal of the devices by offering extensive software support. According to the current reports, the Galaxy Tab S12 series may receive up to seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

12.4-Inch and 14.6-Inch AMOLED Displays

The two tablets will continue to target different size preferences.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This configuration should provide smooth animations and scrolling while maintaining the high-contrast visuals associated with Samsung’s premium AMOLED panels.

Meanwhile, the flagship Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to retain the enormous 14.6-inch display used by its predecessor.

The Ultra’s large panel continues to make it one of the more laptop-like Android tablets on the market, particularly for users who want a large workspace for multitasking, digital drawing, video editing, or productivity applications.

Large Batteries for Long-Session Use

Battery capacity is another area where Samsung is expected to maintain its focus on endurance.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is reportedly set to feature a 10,600mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could pack an even larger 11,600mAh battery.

Combined with the efficiency improvements of a newer flagship processor, the large batteries should help the tablets handle extended periods of video playback, productivity, gaming, and web browsing.

Actual battery life will naturally depend on display brightness, refresh rate, connectivity, applications, and other usage conditions.

S Pen Expected to Remain Included

As flagship members of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S family, both tablets are expected to support the company’s S Pen stylus, with the accessory reportedly included in the retail package.

The S Pen remains an important part of Samsung’s premium tablet ecosystem, particularly for note-taking, sketching, handwriting, document annotation, and creative work.

For international buyers comparing premium tablets with Apple’s iPad Pro and other high-end Android devices, the inclusion of a stylus could remain one of Samsung’s strongest differentiating features.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series: What to Expect

If the current leaks prove accurate, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 generation will focus more on internal upgrades than a major visual redesign.

The familiar Tab S11-inspired appearance could make the new tablets feel evolutionary, but the combination of the Dimensity 9500 chipset, One UI 9, large AMOLED displays, substantial batteries, long-term software support, and S Pen integration could still make them compelling flagship Android tablets.

The continued use of the Ultra model’s notch is perhaps the biggest disappointment for buyers hoping for a cleaner display design. However, Samsung may be saving a more substantial camera and display redesign for a future generation.

Expected Launch in September

Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch the Galaxy Tab S12 series in September 2026, meaning the official announcement could be only weeks away.

The company has not yet confirmed the launch date, pricing, complete specifications, or availability for individual markets. As a result, the details currently circulating should be considered unofficial until Samsung makes a formal announcement.

For international consumers, regional pricing and configurations will be particularly important. Samsung’s flagship tablets typically launch across multiple markets, but storage options, connectivity variants, and pricing can vary by region.

Final Thoughts

The leaked Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra renders suggest that Samsung is taking an evolutionary approach to its next flagship tablet generation. Rather than introducing a dramatic redesign, the company appears set to refine the existing formula with a new processor, updated software, refreshed wallpapers, large batteries, and continued S Pen support.

With a 12.4-inch Galaxy Tab S12+ and a 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, Samsung could once again target both mainstream premium-tablet users and consumers looking for a large-screen productivity machine.

If the rumored September launch schedule holds, more information about pricing, configurations, performance, and global availability should emerge soon.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has reportedly surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, providing new insights into the tablet’s hardware ahead of its expected debut later this year. The listing suggests that Samsung may once again partner with MediaTek for its flagship Android tablet, with the device likely powered by the company’s next-generation Dimensity 9500 chipset.

Although Samsung has yet to officially announce the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, the latest benchmark results offer one of the clearest indications yet of the tablet’s internal specifications.

Geekbench Listing Points to Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra

A device carrying the model number SM-X946B recently appeared in the Geekbench database. While the benchmark entry does not explicitly identify the product name, the model number closely follows the SM-X936B used by the previous-generation Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, strongly suggesting that the new listing belongs to the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.

The benchmarked device achieved:

Single-core score: 2,424

Multi-core score: 8,446

These results represent a modest performance improvement over the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, reflecting the expected gains from a newer chipset.

MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Expected

The Geekbench listing reveals a CPU configuration consisting of:

One ultra-performance core

Three performance cores

Four efficiency cores

The processor’s prime core is clocked at 4.21GHz, while the efficiency cores operate at 2.7GHz. This architecture closely matches previously leaked specifications for MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 flagship processor, making it the most likely chipset powering the new tablet.

Earlier industry reports had already suggested that Samsung would equip the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with the Dimensity 9500, and the latest benchmark further strengthens that expectation.

12GB RAM Confirmed, Larger Memory Option Expected

The Geekbench listing shows the tested device equipped with 12GB of RAM, matching the entry-level memory configuration offered by the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

Samsung is also expected to introduce a 16GB RAM variant following its established strategy for Ultra-branded flagship devices, providing additional performance for demanding productivity and creative workloads.

Familiar Design with Minor Refinements

Recent leaked renders indicate that Samsung is taking an iterative approach to the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra’s design.

According to current reports, the tablet will retain several design elements from its predecessor, including:

A slim metal chassis with flat edges

Ultra-thin display bezels

Dual rear cameras

A rear magnetic connector for the optional keyboard cover

The distinctive display notch housing the front-facing camera system

The tablet is rumored to measure approximately 326.3 × 208.5 × 5.1 mm, making it nearly identical in size to the current Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

Large AMOLED Display and Long Battery Life

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to continue featuring Samsung’s premium display technology with a:

14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display

High refresh rate (expected)

HDR support

Powering the tablet is reportedly an 11,600mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, providing extended battery life for productivity, entertainment, and creative applications.

Camera System

While tablets are rarely purchased primarily for photography, Samsung is expected to maintain a capable camera setup that includes:

Rear cameras:

13MP primary camera

8MP ultra-wide camera

Front camera:

12MP selfie camera

The front-facing camera is expected to continue supporting high-quality video conferencing and content creation.

Android 17 and Seven Years of Software Support

On the software side, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is rumored to launch with One UI 9, based on Android 17.

Samsung is also expected to continue its industry-leading software support policy by offering:

Seven generations of Android OS upgrades

Seven years of security updates

This extended update commitment remains one of Samsung’s strongest advantages in the premium Android tablet market, helping ensure long-term usability and security.

Expected Launch Timeline

If Samsung follows its traditional product release schedule, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to be unveiled around September, potentially alongside the rumored Galaxy S26 FE smartphone.

While Samsung has yet to confirm an official launch date, the appearance of the tablet in benchmark databases suggests development is progressing toward a public announcement in the coming months.

Final Thoughts

Although the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra may not introduce a dramatic redesign, the combination of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, Samsung’s premium 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, long software support, and refined hardware could make it one of the most powerful Android tablets available.

With benchmark results now emerging and multiple leaks aligning on key specifications, more official details—including pricing, availability, and the complete feature set—are expected as Samsung prepares for its next flagship product launch.

According to a report published by Android Authority on July 20, the regulatory filings confirm that Samsung is preparing multiple new Galaxy devices for release, adding further weight to expectations of an official announcement later this year.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Retains Familiar Design

Previous leaks suggest that the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will largely preserve the design language of its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

The premium tablet is expected to continue featuring Samsung’s distinctive V-shaped display notch, which houses the front-facing camera while allowing for slimmer display bezels.

Leaked dimensions indicate the device will measure approximately 326.34 × 208.46 × 5.12 mm, making it nearly identical in size and thickness to the previous generation.

Camera Configuration

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is reportedly equipped with:

Detailed camera specifications, including sensor resolutions and imaging features, have not yet been disclosed.

Flagship Hardware Expected

According to earlier reports, Samsung will power the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor.

Expected configurations include:

12GB or 16GB RAM

The tablet is also rumored to ship with One UI 9.0 based on Android and receive six generations of Android OS upgrades, continuing Samsung’s commitment to long-term software support for its premium devices.

Galaxy S26 FE to Adopt Samsung’s 2026 Design Language

The upcoming Galaxy S26 FE is expected to bring Samsung’s latest flagship-inspired design to the Fan Edition lineup.

Leaked information suggests the device will feature:

A flat-frame chassis

A modernized exterior consistent with Samsung’s 2026 smartphone portfolio

While the overall design remains familiar, the updated styling is expected to align the FE series more closely with Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S lineup.

Exynos 2500 Powers the Galaxy S26 FE

Benchmark listings previously spotted on Geekbench indicate that the Galaxy S26 FE carries the motherboard identifier s5e9955, which is associated with Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2500 processor.

The chipset reportedly features a 10-core CPU arranged in a 1+2+5+2 configuration, balancing high-performance cores with power-efficient clusters to improve both speed and battery life.

Further performance details remain unavailable, but the Exynos 2500 is expected to represent Samsung’s next-generation flagship mobile platform.

BOE Display Marks a First for the FE Series

One of the most notable changes involves the display supply chain.

According to previous reports, the Galaxy S26 FE will feature an OLED display manufactured by BOE, marking the first time Samsung has sourced panels for the Galaxy FE smartphone lineup from an external supplier rather than relying exclusively on Samsung Display.

The move reflects Samsung’s broader strategy of diversifying its supply chain while maintaining competitive production costs.

Launch Expected This September

With FCC certification now surfacing alongside an increasing number of benchmark listings and hardware leaks, both the Galaxy S26 FE and the Galaxy Tab S12 series appear to be nearing their official debut.

Current industry expectations point to a September 2026 launch event, where Samsung is likely to introduce the new Fan Edition smartphone alongside its next-generation premium tablet lineup.

Although Samsung has yet to confirm specifications or release dates, the growing number of regulatory filings and supply chain reports suggests that both devices are entering the final stages before their official announcement.

Igeekphone reported on May 15th that the technology media Android Authority published a blog post yesterday (May 14th), conducting an in-depth study of Samsung’s AI Core application code. It was discovered that Samsung has begun to adapt the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, and it is expected that this chip will be used in the Galaxy Tab S12 series of tablets.

This media discovered traces of MT6993 in the APK file of the AI Core application. This indicates that this model corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, suggesting that Samsung has begun to adapt this chip for a certain device.

Apart from the chip model, based on the content of the firmware code, the AI Core application lists 4 functions. Here is the relevant information provided by Igeekphone:

FEATURE_WALLPAPER: Refers to AI-generated wallpapers
FEATURE_INOUT_PAINTING: Pointer to AI image extension
FEATURE_GEN_EDIT_ON_DEVICE: Device-side generative editing
FEATURE_HARMONIZATION_ON_DEVICE: This might refer to the image coordination capability.
The media pointed out that image coordination can be understood as making the main subject and background of the composite image blend more naturally. The system will adjust the light, color and contrast to make the content after the stitching look more realistic.

This means that the AI experience of Samsung’s future tablets may go beyond simple image editing. Instead, it will further enhance local image processing, reduce reliance on the cloud, and improve response speed and privacy protection.

The current code does not specify the exact device model. However, based on Samsung’s previous release schedule, it is highly likely to refer to the Galaxy Tab S12 series of tablets.

Samsung has previously adopted flagship-level MediaTek chips in its two generations of high-end tablets, the Galaxy Tab S10 and Galaxy Tab S11. Therefore, it is widely speculated that the new generation of Galaxy Tab S12 will follow this route, which makes sense logically.
