Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra Spotted on Bluetooth SIG With MediaTek Dimensity 9500

Samsung appears to be preparing its next-generation flagship tablet lineup, with the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra recently spotted in the Bluetooth SIG certification database.

According to technology media outlet SamMobile, traces of both tablets were discovered on the official Bluetooth SIG website, providing an early indication that Samsung is moving closer to launching the next generation of its premium Android tablets.

The latest information also aligns with earlier reports suggesting that both models will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 flagship mobile platform. While Samsung has yet to officially announce the tablets, the emerging details point to incremental upgrades over the current Galaxy Tab S11 family rather than a major redesign.

Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra: Expected Specifications

Processor MediaTek Dimensity 9500 MediaTek Dimensity 9500

    Connectivity Wi-Fi / Cellular Wi-Fi / Cellular
Design Similar to Galaxy Tab S11 series Similar to Galaxy Tab S11 series

The 120Hz specification is currently reported for the S12+; final Ultra display specifications have not yet been officially confirmed.

Bluetooth SIG Certification Reveals Wi-Fi and Cellular Models

The appearance of the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra on the Bluetooth SIG certification platform is one of the clearest signs yet that Samsung is developing the new tablets.

According to the certification information, both models are expected to be available in Wi-Fi-only and cellular versions.

Offering both configurations would allow Samsung to target a broad range of users. Wi-Fi models can appeal to consumers who primarily use their tablets at home, school, or the office, while cellular versions provide greater flexibility for users who need mobile connectivity while traveling.

Bluetooth certification does not reveal every specification, but it indicates that Samsung is progressing through the necessary certification process ahead of a potential commercial launch.

MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Expected to Power Both Tablets

One of the most notable aspects of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 series is its reported processor choice.

Previous reports have indicated that both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 flagship chipset.

This would represent an interesting strategy for Samsung’s premium tablet lineup. Rather than relying exclusively on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon platform, Samsung appears to be considering MediaTek’s latest high-end chip for both tablet models.

The Dimensity 9500 is expected to provide strong CPU and GPU performance while supporting demanding applications, gaming, multitasking, and AI-related workloads.

For large-screen Android devices, sustained performance is particularly important because tablets are increasingly being used for productivity as well as entertainment.

Design Expected to Follow the Galaxy Tab S11 Series

In terms of appearance, Samsung reportedly plans to maintain the design language introduced with the Galaxy Tab S11 series.

That means users should not expect a dramatic external redesign.

Instead, Samsung appears to be focusing on internal upgrades while retaining a familiar premium tablet design. This approach could allow the company to refine the existing form factor without making major changes to accessories, cases, or the overall user experience.

For consumers who already like the appearance and ergonomics of Samsung’s current flagship tablets, the relatively familiar design could be a positive.

Galaxy Tab S12+: 12.4-Inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.

The panel is reportedly capable of supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, which should provide smoother scrolling, animations, and gaming compared with standard 60Hz displays.

Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED technology is one of the major strengths of its premium tablets. The combination of OLED technology, high contrast, vibrant colors, and a high refresh rate makes the large display suitable for both entertainment and productivity.

A 12.4-inch screen also provides a useful middle ground between portability and workspace, making the S12+ potentially attractive to users who want a tablet that can replace a laptop for lighter workloads without moving to an extremely large device.

    Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra: 14.6-Inch Large-Format Display

The flagship Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to retain an enormous 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.

The Ultra model is clearly designed for users who want the largest possible workspace in a tablet form factor.

A display of this size can be particularly useful for:

    • Multitasking
    • Document editing
    • Digital drawing
    • Video editing
    • Presentations
    • Gaming
    • Media consumption

The larger panel also provides more room for Samsung’s multitasking interface and S Pen-related workflows.

If Samsung maintains the display characteristics of the previous generation, the Ultra should remain one of the largest and most premium Android tablets available.

    Large Batteries for Extended Use

Battery capacity is another area where the two tablets are expected to offer substantial specifications.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is reportedly equipped with a 10,600mAh battery, while the larger Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to feature an 11,600mAh battery.

Large battery capacities are particularly important for tablets because their large displays can consume considerable power during video playback, gaming, multitasking, and productivity workloads.

The combination of large batteries and an efficient flagship processor could help the S12 series deliver strong endurance for users who spend long periods away from a charger.

Actual battery life will, of course, depend on display brightness, refresh rate, network connectivity, application usage, and other factors.

    Wi-Fi and Cellular Connectivity

Samsung is reportedly planning both Wi-Fi and cellular variants of the Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra.

The cellular versions could be particularly useful for professionals and frequent travelers who want a connected tablet without depending on a smartphone hotspot.

For users primarily using their tablet at home or in locations with reliable wireless networks, the Wi-Fi versions could offer a more economical alternative.

The Bluetooth SIG appearance also confirms that wireless connectivity remains an important part of Samsung’s next-generation tablet platform.

A Familiar but More Powerful Galaxy Tab Experience

Based on the information currently available, Samsung’s approach with the Galaxy Tab S12 series appears to focus on refinement rather than reinvention.

The design is expected to remain close to the Galaxy Tab S11 family, while the major upgrades could come from the processor, display technology, battery capacity, and connectivity options.

The use of the Dimensity 9500 could provide a substantial performance boost, while the large AMOLED displays and high-capacity batteries should preserve the characteristics that define Samsung’s premium tablet lineup.

Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra: Expected Highlights

    Galaxy Tab S12+

    • 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display
    • Up to 120Hz refresh rate
    • MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor
    • 10,600mAh battery
    • Wi-Fi and cellular versions
    • Design similar to the Galaxy Tab S11 series

    Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra

    • 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display
    • MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor
    • 11,600mAh battery
    • Wi-Fi and cellular versions
    • Similar design to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra
    • Large-format display designed for productivity and entertainment

    Final Thoughts

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra are shaping up to be relatively evolutionary upgrades, but the reported hardware could still make them among the most capable Android tablets of the next generation.

The appearance of both models on the Bluetooth SIG certification database suggests that development is progressing, while previous reports pointing to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 provide an indication of the performance platform Samsung may use.

The S12+ is expected to offer a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and 10,600mAh battery, while the Ultra model could combine a huge 14.6-inch AMOLED display with an 11,600mAh battery.

If Samsung retains the premium build quality and software experience of its existing Galaxy Tab lineup while adding MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset, the new tablets could provide a compelling combination of large-screen productivity, high-end performance, long battery life, and multimedia capabilities.

Samsung has yet to officially confirm the Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra, so the specifications and features currently circulating should be treated as preliminary. More details, including pricing, launch timing, exact display specifications, memory configurations, and regional availability, are expected to emerge ahead of the official announcement.
