Igeekphone reported that the PowerVR CXT-48-1536 GPU was introduced in 2021, indicating that Google’s flagship chip in 2026 will employ “antique-level” graphics technology.

In terms of CPU architecture, it is reported that the Tensor G6 will abandon the 8-core architecture of its predecessor and instead adopt a 7-core architecture of 1+4+2. The large cores will be upgraded to the latest ARM C1 Ultra or C1 Pro cores, with a clock speed of up to 4.11GHz.

The source believes that Google, in an effort to make up for its weakness in GPU technology, has enhanced the NPU to make up for the deficiency and optimize the AI workload. This media believes that although this “emphasizing NPU and neglecting GPU” strategy helps control costs, for users who pursue the ultimate gaming experience, this might become a significant weakness.

In terms of security, the Tensor G6 will integrate a brand-new Titan M3 security coprocessor. As the latest product in Google’s Titan series, this chip will provide users with a higher level of data protection at the hardware level, covering the secure storage of encryption keys and biometric information.

Igeekphone reported on March 31st that earlier, a set of renderings of the Google new Pixel 11 Pro Fold phone based on CAD modeling had been leaked. Now, the rendering of the standard version of Pixel 11 has also been released. Just like the Pro Fold model, this new device is expected to be officially launched in August this year.

Igeekphone has noted that compared to the previous generation model launched in 2025, the screen bezel of Pixel 11 has been significantly narrowed, and the design of the rear camera module has also been slightly adjusted. The circular camera module now adopts a fully glass encased design, and the metal decorative part on the right side of the module has been removed.

Nevertheless, the overall design of the entire machine still adheres to the classic style of the Pixel series, with only minor modifications.

It is reported that the dimensions of the Pixel 11 are 152.8 × 72 × 8.5 millimeters. The length and width are exactly the same as those of the Pixel 10, while the thickness is only 0.1 millimeters thinner. During daily use, users will hardly be able to perceive this subtle difference.

This device will be equipped with Google’s self-developed Tensor G6 system-level chip. This chip is expected to be equipped with a seven-core CPU. Previously, there were also reports stating that Google will switch to MediaTek’s baseband for this model. Additionally, it is reported that the screen specifications of Pixel 11 will be exactly the same as those of the previous model.

Igeekphone reported on March 10th that Google is expected to release a new generation of foldable phone Pixel 11 Pro Fold later this year. Today, AndroidHeadlines and @OnLeaks have jointly released the first renderings of this device.

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is quite similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google did not make a major overhaul to its appearance design; the overall shape and the curvature of the edges remain the same; the main materials of the body are still aluminum and glass.

When unfolded, there is still a hole-shaped camera at the top right corner of the main screen, with uniform and slightly raised borders around it – this is necessary for the protection mechanism of the foldable screen and is also a common design for current book-style foldable screens. When folded, the appearance on the front side is almost identical to that of the previous generation.

The layout at the top and bottom of the body is standard: the bottom features a USB Type-C port, microphone, speaker opening, and SIM card slot; the top only has a few microphone openings.
Compared to the front, the changes on the back of the new device are more obvious. The rear camera Deco of Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold has been redesigned, making the overall appearance more simple and modern. At the same time, the LED flash and microphone are now integrated into the pill-shaped notch at the top, sharing the same area as one of the rear cameras as opposed to being arranged independently as in the previous generation. The transition between the camera module and the backplate also adopts an arc shape, resulting in a more smooth visual effect.

The back panel remains flat and the central position of the Google logo remains unchanged. The positions of the physical buttons are also the same as in the previous model: the power / lock screen button is located above the volume buttons.

Thanks to the structural optimization, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold has a thinner thickness compared to its predecessor. Based on CAD data, its thickness in the folded state is 10.1 millimeters (including the camera protrusion which is 14.9 millimeters), which is approximately 0.7 millimeters less than that of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold (10.8 millimeters); in the unfolded state, its thickness is 4.8 millimeters (including the camera protrusion which is 9.6 millimeters), which is 0.4 millimeters less than that of the previous generation (5.2 millimeters).

Although it still lags behind some competitors’ current folding thickness of less than 9 millimeters, it undoubtedly is moving in the direction of being thinner. The height of the body (155.2 millimeters) and the width when unfolded (150.4 millimeters) remain the same as those of the previous generation.
Apart from minor cosmetic adjustments, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will upgrade from the previous generation’s Tensor G5 processor to the Tensor G6 processor. The specific specifications are unknown, but the latest rumors suggest it might adopt a 7-core design (further confirmation is needed).

The imaging part is another notable upgrade point. The camera configuration of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has long been regarded as inferior to that of the flagship devices of the same generation, especially in terms of the ultra-wide-angle lens. In response to the significant advancements in folding screen camera hardware by competitors, Google is expected to achieve a comprehensive upgrade on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, but the specific plan is still uncertain at present.

In other respects, significant changes are not expected. The sizes of the main screen and the cover screen are predicted to remain the same. Features such as IP68 dust and water resistance, Pixel wireless fast charging, and Qi2 wireless charging are expected to continue. There may not be a significant increase in battery capacity either.

Based on Google’s release schedule over the past two years, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is likely to make its official debut in August. The Pixel 9 series was released in August 2024, and the Pixel 10 series was released in August 2025. This timing seems to have become a new tradition for Google.

As for the pricing, the situation is more complicated. Previously, based on information from Google’s internal planning, it was suggested that the price of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold might be $1500 (Note: at the current exchange rate, it is approximately 10,371 yuan). However, due to multiple factors such as tariffs and the soaring prices of memory, the final price remains unknown. But it is certain that it is unlikely to be cheaper than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which starts at $1799.

Igeekphone reported on February 18th that the technology media Android Authority released a blog post today (February 18th) stating that in the Android 17 system, Google plans to introduce the DeliQueue system. By optimizing the memory locking mechanism of the MessageQueue, it aims to reduce the waiting time between software threads.

IGEEKPHONE reports that according to the blog post, when users are using their Android phones in daily life, they often encounter situations where the screen scrolling is not smooth or the operation is sluggish. This usually occurs because the system has to drop frames (Dropped frames) in order to handle tasks.

The fundamental reason for this phenomenon lies in the fact that system threads, when handling UI display, often need to queue up to access the core component MessageQueue. Once a certain thread locks the queue, other threads are forced to idle, resulting in critical processing tasks not being completed in a timely manner.

To address these issues, Google plans to restructure the MessageQueue at the core level of the Android 17 system and introduce the lock-free data structure, DeliQueue.

The new system has abandoned the previous “locking mode of servicing one thread at a time”, enabling more precise control over specific memory locations. This means that threads no longer need to wait for locks to be released for a long time; instead, they can handle tasks in a more flexible and parallel manner.

To better illustrate this mechanism, Google used the example of “customers queuing up to get their orders at a deli” to explain: Just as customers do not have to follow the exact order of their queue when picking up their meals, DeliQueue allows threads to be flexibly scheduled based on actual resource conditions, thereby avoiding performance congestion caused by waiting.

Google reports that the new system has reduced the frame loss rate of applications by 4%, and in the system interface and launcher, this reduction has reached 7.7%. Google is currently still testing the DeliQueue system and has fixed two discovered vulnerabilities.

In terms of packaging, the renderings also show that the Pixel 10a continues Google’s environmental strategy over the past few years. It is expected that the box will only contain a one-meter-long USB-C to USB-C data cable, a SIM card removal tool, and standard warranty instructions.

Igeekphone queried public information and the source YtechB also shared an undisclosed EU energy label for the product, showing that the Pixel 10a received an “A” grade rating. The battery life test result was 53 hours and 14 minutes. In contrast, the Pixel 9a was rated as “B”, with a battery life of 52 hours and 19 minutes.

Igeekphone reported on February 6th: The technology media Android Headline published a blog post yesterday (February 5th), featuring several renderings, among which Google Pixel 10a was showcased. The phone has been confirmed to be released on February 18th and pre-sales began on the same day.
The exposed renderings this time showcase four initial color schemes: Berry, Fog, Lavender, and Obsidian. Among them, the Berry rendering has a brighter color tone compared to the previously leaked version.

In terms of appearance, the Pixel 10a continues the family design language. The front of the device features a center-hole display. Although the bezels are not as narrow as possible, the overall visual effect is uniform. The back still retains the iconic “pill”-shaped camera module, which houses two cameras. The entire device adopts a fully straight-edge design, with the physical buttons concentrated on the right side of the device.

In terms of configuration, the Pixel 10a does not adopt the latest Tensor G5 chip aggressively. Instead, it is expected to be equipped with an enhanced version of the Tensor G4 chip. The device will have 8GB of RAM and a 5100mAh battery, but this battery is not a silicon-carbon anode battery.

In terms of the screen, the new device features a 6.3-inch OLED straight screen with a 120Hz high refresh rate. At the system level, this device will come pre-installed with the latest Android 16 operating system.
In terms of charging and accessories, the Pixel 10a supports 23W wired charging. However, a charger is not included in the packaging box.

Igeekphone reported on February 4th that Google has begun to have Gemini control Android phones. Now the specific implementation details of this “screen automation” have been revealed.

According to 9to5google, the 17.4 beta version of Google applications includes a related string called “Complete Tasks with Gemini”. The internal code name for this laboratory function is “Bonobo”. The introduction text states: “Gemini can, through screen automation technology, help you complete various tasks such as placing orders and booking trips in the designated applications on your device.”
According to IT Information, this control function is also known as screen automation. Android 16 QPR3 has laid the technical foundation for it, and this function will be made available for use in designated applications.

Google stated: “Gemini may make operational errors”, and “You are responsible for the actions it performs on your behalf, so please closely monitor its operation.” Users can terminate the operation of this intelligent agent at any time and take over the task execution manually.
“When Gemini interacts with the application, if the activity recording function is enabled, the captured screen images will be reviewed by professional auditors and used to optimize various services of Google.”

“Do not enter login credentials or payment information in the Gemini conversation interface. Avoid using screen automation functions to handle urgent matters or tasks involving sensitive information.”
In this test version, there is also a digital likeness function with the internal code name “Wasabi” and related strings integrated. It is worth noting that the Android XR system uses this code name to refer to the 3D virtual image currently used in Google Meet calls. One of the strings indicates that this function can be invoked through instructions.

Based on the video description, the demonstration device is an HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5 Chromebook equipped with the 12th generation Intel Core processor. The system build version number is “ZL1A.260119.001.A1”, and it is confirmed that this system is based on Android 16. This version is internally referred to as “ALOS”, which is the abbreviation of “Aluminum OS”.

Compared with the existing tablet mode or mobile screen projection mode, the new Android desktop layout logic has been optimized for large screens. The top left side displays detailed time and date with seconds; on the right side, there are arranged the battery icons, Wi-Fi signal, notification bell, and input method language identifiers (such as “EN”) in the style of Android 16.

In addition, a Gemini icon also appears in the status bar, indicating that Google’s AI assistant will be integrated deeply into the desktop experience as a core system-level function.

Regarding the browser, this Android desktop runs Chrome version 145.0.7587.4 (before upgrade) and 146.0.7634.0 (after upgrade) from the Dev channel. The interface displays the “Extensions” button, indicating that it supports a complete plugin ecosystem.
