While Honor has yet to officially announce MagicOS 11, the latest details suggest the company is placing AI-powered productivity and immersive visual design at the center of its next software release.

YOYO Next to Introduce Smarter AI Capabilities

According to information shared by tipster Digital Xiaoliantiaozhan, MagicOS 11 will feature an upgraded YOYO Next intelligent assistant with a new capability known as YOYO Claw.

The updated AI platform is reportedly designed to deliver more personalized and capable assistance through a range of new features, including:

Support for user-selectable AI large language models (LLMs)

Control over a wider range of third-party applications

Execution of complex, multi-step tasks

Long-term memory that retains contextual information across interactions

A built-in skill store for expanding AI functionality

These enhancements indicate that Honor is moving toward a more agent-based AI experience, enabling the assistant to complete practical tasks across apps rather than simply responding to voice commands or answering questions.

Built for Flexible AI Integration

The report also highlights one of YOYO Claw’s key advantages: simplified deployment.

Originally introduced in April, YOYO Claw reportedly ships with five primary AI modules and 23 secondary modules pre-installed. According to the leak, developers can integrate AI capabilities without adapting APIs or writing additional code, significantly lowering the barrier to deploying AI-powered services.

If implemented as described, this approach could accelerate the integration of AI features across Honor’s software ecosystem while allowing users to customize the assistant with different AI models.

MagicOS 11 to Debut a New Liquid Glass Interface

Beyond AI, MagicOS 11 is also expected to receive a major visual redesign.

The software reportedly introduces a full-screen transparent interface combined with a new dynamic liquid glass effect, making it the first implementation of this design style on the Android platform.

According to previous reports, the interface will offer:

Dynamic full-screen transparency

Adjustable transparency levels

Smooth, refined transition animations

Enhanced visual effects throughout the system

Extensive personalization options

Honor describes the experience as offering one of the most advanced liquid glass user interfaces in the Android ecosystem.

Dynamic Light and Shadow Effects

Honor MagicOS Design Director Wang Qian previously explained that the new visual language is based on a proprietary “flowing light transparency” concept.

The effect combines translucent glass-like layers with dynamic lighting and shadow animations that respond to user interactions, creating a more immersive and fluid interface.

Rather than simply adding transparency, the design aims to simulate the appearance of light moving through liquid glass, giving the operating system a distinctive visual identity.

Early Preview Already Available

According to earlier reports, Honor has already opened an initial preview program for a limited number of early adopters, allowing selected users to experience the new interface before its broader release.

The preview is expected to help Honor refine both the visual design and AI features ahead of the official rollout.

Outlook

Although the information remains unofficial, the latest leaks suggest that MagicOS 11 could represent one of Honor’s most ambitious software upgrades to date. By combining a more capable AI assistant with customizable large language model support, deeper third-party app integration, long-term contextual memory, and a next-generation liquid glass interface, Honor appears to be positioning MagicOS 11 as a flagship AI operating system.

As with all pre-release reports, the final features, design, and functionality may change before Honor officially unveils MagicOS 11.

Huawei is reportedly preparing a major redesign for its next-generation tri-fold smartphone. According to the latest leaks, the upcoming Huawei Mate XT2 will replace the company’s signature S-shaped folding mechanism with an entirely new U-shaped tri-fold design, offering improved durability while maintaining the versatility of a large foldable display.

If the reports prove accurate, the Mate XT2 will debut alongside Huawei’s latest flagship technologies, including a new Kirin chipset and HarmonyOS 7, when it is expected to launch in September 2026.

From an S-Shaped Fold to a U-Shaped Design

Huawei made headlines in 2024 with the introduction of the original Huawei Mate XT, the world’s first commercially available tri-fold smartphone.

The original Mate XT featured an S-shaped folding structure, combining two inward-folding hinges with one outward-folding panel. When fully unfolded, the device expanded into a 10.2-inch display, offering tablet-sized productivity while remaining remarkably slim when folded.

Its unique form factor even earned the nickname “official document” among Chinese users because its unfolded shape resembled a traditional folded document.

Huawei continued using this design in the subsequent Mate XTs, but the upcoming Mate XT2 is expected to introduce a fundamentally different folding architecture.

Fully Enclosed Flexible Display

According to the latest leak, the Mate XT2 adopts a U-shaped tri-fold mechanism in which both side panels fold inward toward the center display.

This new configuration offers one significant advantage: all flexible OLED panels remain completely enclosed inside the chassis when the phone is folded.

Unlike the previous design, where part of the flexible display remained exposed, the new structure is expected to provide:

Better protection against scratches

Improved resistance to accidental impacts

Reduced risk of display damage during everyday use

Greater durability when carried in pockets or bags alongside keys and other hard objects

By eliminating exposed flexible display surfaces, Huawei appears to be addressing one of the biggest durability concerns associated with foldable smartphones.

External Display Handles Everyday Tasks

Another notable design change is the addition of a dedicated external display integrated into the rear of the device.

According to the leak, this secondary screen will allow users to perform many routine tasks without unfolding the main display, including:

Making and receiving phone calls

Quickly replying to messages

Mobile payments and QR code scanning

Viewing notifications and other lightweight interactions

This approach could improve convenience while reducing unnecessary opening and closing of the primary foldable display.

Redesigned Camera Layout

Huawei is also reportedly revising the camera arrangement.

The rear camera module is positioned centrally on the second folding section, a layout that is said to offer better ergonomics during photography.

By moving the camera module toward the middle of the device, users’ fingers are less likely to obstruct the lenses when holding the phone, resulting in a more secure grip and a more comfortable shooting experience.

Kirin 9050 and HarmonyOS 7 Expected

Internally, the Mate XT2 is rumored to debut Huawei’s next-generation Kirin 9050 flagship chipset.

The device is also expected to ship with HarmonyOS 7 pre-installed, bringing the latest version of Huawei’s operating system along with new AI capabilities and software optimizations.

Although detailed specifications have yet to emerge, the combination of a redesigned folding mechanism, updated chipset, and new software suggests Huawei is positioning the Mate XT2 as a significant evolution rather than a routine annual refresh.

A New Direction for Foldable Smartphones

If the leaked information is accurate, the Huawei Mate XT2 represents more than just another foldable smartphone update. The shift from an exposed S-shaped folding design to a fully enclosed U-shaped architecture demonstrates Huawei’s continued efforts to improve durability without sacrificing the expansive screen experience that defines tri-fold devices.

With its expected September 2026 debut approaching, the Mate XT2 could become one of the most closely watched foldable smartphones of the year, potentially setting a new benchmark for durability, usability, and engineering in the rapidly evolving foldable device market.

Honor is reportedly preparing to launch its next-generation Honor WIN2 smartphone as early as October 2026, bringing substantial upgrades in performance, battery life, and thermal management. According to a new leak, the device could become one of the most ambitious flagship smartphones of the year, combining Qualcomm’s upcoming 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor with an enormous 10,000mAh battery.

The information comes from well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, who claims the WIN2 series will deliver flagship-level performance while maintaining the ultra-long battery life that defined its predecessor.

A Rare Combination of 2nm Performance and 10,000mAh Battery

According to the leak, the Honor WIN2 will feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (Snapdragon 8E6) chipset, which is expected to be manufactured using a cutting-edge 2nm process.

Even more notable is the reported battery capacity. Honor is said to equip the device with a battery exceeding 10,000mAh, making it the only flagship smartphone in its market segment to pair a next-generation 2nm processor with such a large battery.

If accurate, the WIN2 would offer a unique combination of flagship computing power and exceptional endurance, distinguishing it from competing premium Android smartphones that typically feature batteries between 5,000mAh and 7,000mAh.

Building on the Success of the Original Honor WIN

Honor introduced the first-generation Honor WIN in December 2025, setting a new benchmark for smartphone battery capacity.

The original device debuted with a 10,000mAh Qinghai Lake battery, becoming one of the first mainstream flagship smartphones to break through the long-standing battery capacity ceiling.

Honor also emphasized the battery’s industry-leading 910Wh/L energy density, allowing the company to integrate an exceptionally large battery without excessively increasing the device’s size.

Beyond its impressive endurance, the first-generation WIN supported:

100W wired fast charging

80W wireless fast charging

This combination delivered both multi-day battery life and rapid charging speeds, helping the device stand out in the premium smartphone market.

Active Cooling Could Unlock Higher Sustained Performance

Another highlight of the leaked specifications is the inclusion of an active cooling fan, a feature more commonly found in dedicated gaming smartphones.

Unlike conventional passive vapor chamber (VC) cooling systems, an active cooling solution continuously circulates air across internal components, allowing heat to dissipate more efficiently.

According to the leak, this design offers several advantages:

Faster heat transfer away from the processor

Reduced heat buildup during extended workloads

More stable sustained performance

Improved thermal efficiency during gaming and AI-intensive tasks

Combined with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, the cooling system could enable the WIN2 to maintain peak performance for longer periods without aggressive thermal throttling.

A Flagship Focused on Endurance and Performance

Based on the current information, the Honor WIN2 appears to target users who demand both flagship performance and exceptional battery life. Its reported combination of a next-generation processor, ultra-high-capacity battery, fast charging, and active cooling could make it one of the most distinctive Android smartphones expected to launch in late 2026.

While Honor has not officially confirmed the specifications or release schedule, the device is rumored to debut as early as October, potentially arriving as one of the first smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming 2nm flagship platform.

As always, these details should be treated as rumors until Honor makes an official announcement. If the leaks prove accurate, however, the Honor WIN2 could emerge as one of the year’s most compelling flagship smartphones, raising the bar for battery life, sustained performance, and thermal management in the premium Android market.

Huawei is reportedly preparing to unveil its next flagship smartphone lineup, the Mate 90 series, this September, introducing both the official release of HarmonyOS 7 and a next-generation Kirin chipset built around the company’s newly announced Ta (τ) Law semiconductor architecture.

According to recent reports from Chinese tech sources, the upcoming Mate 90 series will serve as Huawei’s flagship platform for showcasing its latest advances in chip design, operating system development, and AI-powered performance optimization.

HarmonyOS 7 Development Nears Completion

According to industry leaker Dingzhao Digital, development of HarmonyOS 7 is progressing rapidly and remains on schedule for its commercial debut later this year.

The Mate 90 series is expected to be the first smartphone to ship with the official version of HarmonyOS 7 pre-installed, marking the next major evolution of Huawei’s self-developed operating system.

The new software is said to feature a redesigned user interface centered around a more immersive visual experience. Huawei has reportedly placed particular emphasis on what it describes as “spatial aesthetics,” introducing enhanced animations and three-dimensional visual effects throughout the system.

Users can reportedly expect:

More realistic physics-based desktop animations

Enhanced 3D effects when moving app icons and widgets

Spatial wallpaper effects with greater visual depth

A cleaner and more refined interface design

These enhancements are designed to make everyday interactions feel more natural while improving the overall visual polish of the operating system.

New Kirin Chip Based on Huawei’s Ta (τ) Law

One of the biggest highlights of the Mate 90 series is expected to be its brand-new Kirin processor, which reportedly adopts Huawei’s recently announced Ta (τ) Law design philosophy.

Introduced by Huawei in May 2026, Ta (τ) Law serves as a new framework for semiconductor development. Rather than focusing solely on transistor scaling, the concept aims to systematically reduce the signal propagation time constant (τ), enabling faster communication between logic components and improving overall chip efficiency.

A key technology behind this approach is Logic Folding, an architecture designed to shorten signal paths and increase transistor density without relying exclusively on traditional manufacturing process improvements.

According to Huawei’s published figures, the first Kirin processor implementing Logic Folding dual-layer architecture delivers a significant leap in transistor density:

Although Huawei has yet to officially disclose the commercial name of the processor, reports suggest it will debut exclusively in the Mate 90 series.

Ark Engine Receives AI Performance Upgrades

HarmonyOS 7 is also expected to introduce major improvements beneath the surface.

The latest version of Huawei’s Ark Engine reportedly incorporates a large AI model capable of dynamically optimizing system performance based on user behavior.

According to the leaks, the system will intelligently:

Accelerate frequently used applications

Optimize performance based on location and usage context

Prioritize important background processes

Improve multitasking efficiency

Allocate system resources more intelligently

These upgrades aim to deliver smoother performance while reducing unnecessary resource consumption.

Huawei’s Flagship Faces Strong Competition

The Mate series has long represented Huawei’s most advanced smartphone platform, combining the company’s latest innovations in hardware, software, photography, and AI.

With the reported introduction of HarmonyOS 7 alongside an entirely new Kirin architecture, the Mate 90 series is expected to become Huawei’s most technologically ambitious flagship to date.

The September launch also places the device in direct competition with Apple’s next-generation flagship lineup, widely expected to debut around the same timeframe. As both companies prepare to introduce their latest premium smartphones, the second half of 2026 could become one of the most closely watched periods in the global smartphone market.

Looking Ahead

While Huawei has not yet officially confirmed the Mate 90 series or its specifications, multiple industry reports suggest the company is preparing a significant leap in both hardware and software.

If the reported information proves accurate, the combination of HarmonyOS 7, Huawei’s next-generation Kirin processor, AI-enhanced system optimization, and a redesigned user experience could position the Mate 90 series as one of the year’s most important flagship smartphone launches.

More details are expected to emerge as Huawei approaches its anticipated September launch event.

While the Pro and Ultra versions opt for a larger 6.84-inch screen and a triple-camera system, the standard nova 16 steps down to a more pocketable 6.68-inch display. Weighing just 199 grams, it is the lightest in the lineup and incredibly comfortable for one-handed use.

Pro-Level Power: Surprisingly, Huawei didn’t skimp on performance. The entire lineup—including the standard model—is powered by the same Kirin 9010S processor, meaning you get high-end speed without paying the premium price.

Premium Aesthetics: Available in Sky White, Iridescent Mother-of-Pearl, Sky Blue, and Starry Black, the standard edition looks and feels premium, completely avoiding that cheap, entry-level vibe.

Outdoor-Ready Display: While it has a slightly lower resolution than its siblings, the standard screen actually outshines them with a peak brightness of 1800 nits. Paired with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, it stays perfectly legible even under direct sunlight.

Streamlined Cameras: The rear setup drops to a dual-camera system by cutting the ultra-wide lens, which won’t matter much for casual daily shooting. Crucially, it keeps the heavy hitters: a 50MP RGGB main sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and Huawei’s signature red maple leaf primary color lens for accurate color grading and effortless, one-click shots.

The Real Standout: Despite its slimmer profile, the standard nova 16 packs the exact same massive 7000mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging as the top-tier models. The only thing you miss out on is the Ultra’s 50W wireless charging.

By keeping the weight at a mere 199 g, the standard Nova 16 pulls off a rare feat: delivering elite battery life in a genuinely slim, lightweight body.

Design & Aesthetics

The Huawei nova 16 features a 6.68-inch 2.5D flat screen with ultra-narrow edges. While it looks and feels completely flat during daily use, swiping inward from the sides reveals a subtle, smooth curve that makes it incredibly comfortable to hold.

The design of the entire Nova 16 series is a standout. Aside from the minimalist Starry Black, the other three colors—Sky Blue, Iridescent Mother-of-Pearl, and Sky White- sport dynamic back panels that shift color and shadow depending on how the light hits them.

The Sky Blue model is particularly striking. It mimics a clear, watery blue sky or sea, catching the light with silver-white reflections that look like gentle waves or drifting clouds.

On the lower back, the phone is subtly branded with the classic Huawei nova logo.

Rear Cameras: The back features a symmetrical, clean layout. Two lenses are housed under a black protective glass on the left, while Huawei’s “Red Maple” original color lens is neatly tucked inside a black ring on the right.

Side Buttons: The volume rocker sits on the side, with a slightly shorter power button placed comfortably right below it.

As the entry-level model in Huawei’s youthful, lightweight flagship lineup, the standard Nova 16 makes a few strategic trade-offs to keep costs down. It drops the ultra-wide-angle lens and swaps the Pro’s 200MP RYYB main sensor for a standard 50MP RGGB sensor.

However, it keeps Huawei’s signature red maple color sensor.
The Verdict: Huawei nova 16

Honestly, the best thing about the standard Huawei nova 16 is that it doesn’t feel like a downgrade. It packs the same Kirin 9010S processor as the pricier Pro and Ultra models. Combined with HarmonyOS 6.1, daily multitasking is perfectly fluid, and it handles heavy gaming without breaking a sweat. It also stays comfortably cool under load, thanks to its upgraded VC liquid cooling system, meaning no sudden stutters or overheating.

Huawei made some incredibly smart cuts here. They dropped the rarely used ultra-wide lens but kept what actually matters: a practical periscope telephoto and the signature Red Maple primary camera. Coupled with Huawei’s color tuning, it easily captures accurate, vibrant everyday shots without any fuss.

Battery life is a massive win for this generation.

Capacity: A huge 7000mAh battery across the lineup.

Real-world use: Lasts over 10 hours under heavy, continuous testing—meaning it easily clears a full day of normal use.

Charging: 100W fast charging tops it up rapidly when you’re running low.

Is It Worth It?

By trimming the fat—like the ultra-wide lens—Huawei kept the price down while preserving a premium core experience. Plus, it’s the most comfortable and lightweight model in the lineup for one-handed use. If you want the full HarmonyOS ecosystem and top-tier performance without paying for features you won’t use, the standard Nova 16 is easily the smartest pick of this generation.

July 7 –Igeekphone News: Huawei has officially confirmed that its next global flagship launch event will take place on July 14 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the company is expected to introduce the Huawei Pura 90 series to international markets.

The event, themed “Now is Your Moment,” marks the global debut of Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone lineup, which was first unveiled in China earlier this year.

Pura 90s Pro Max Teased Ahead of Global Debut

Ahead of the launch, Huawei released a new promotional video showcasing the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max, offering a first look at the device’s photography capabilities.

The teaser includes sample images carrying the Pura 90s Pro Max watermark, confirming that the smartphone will feature Huawei’s XMAGE imaging system, the company’s proprietary camera technology developed to deliver enhanced color accuracy, detail, and computational photography.

100x Zoom Highlighted

One of the video’s biggest highlights is the phone’s zoom performance.

The camera interface shown in the teaser indicates that the Pura 90s Pro Max supports up to 100x digital zoom, reinforcing Huawei’s continued focus on long-range mobile photography.

While Huawei has yet to reveal the complete camera specifications for the global model, the company is expected to position the Pura 90s Pro Max as its flagship imaging smartphone for international markets.

Global Expansion of the Pura 90 Series

The international launch follows the Chinese debut of the Huawei Pura 90 lineup earlier this year.

At the domestic launch event, Richard Yu, Huawei’s Executive Director, Chairman of the Consumer Business Group (Terminal BG), and head of the Product Investment Review Committee, introduced three models in the series:

Huawei Pura 90

Huawei Pura 90 Pro

Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max

The series debuted in China with a starting price of 4,699 yuan (approximately US$655).

July 7 – Igeekphone News

Honor is reportedly preparing to launch its highly anticipated Robot Phone in August, according to Chinese tech tipster Digital Chat Station. First unveiled at MWC Barcelona 2026, the device represents a bold new product category that combines the functions of a smartphone, an AI-powered camera, and a robotic companion.

Widely regarded as one of the most innovative AI hardware concepts of the year, the Robot Phone is designed to go beyond the traditional smartphone form factor that has remained largely unchanged for nearly two decades.

A Smartphone with a Built-In Robotic Gimbal

The Robot Phone’s defining feature is a hidden 4-degree-of-freedom (4DoF) robotic gimbal integrated into the top of the device.

During normal use, the mechanical module is completely concealed inside the phone, preserving a conventional smartphone appearance. When activated, the robotic arm extends automatically in just 0.8 seconds.

Once deployed, the camera supports 360-degree tracking, along with intelligent 90-degree and 180-degree framing adjustments and automatic zoom, enabling the device to follow subjects smoothly without the need for an external gimbal.

Custom Miniature Engineering

According to Li Jian, CEO of Honor, integrating a robotic gimbal into the compact body of a smartphone required the company to redesign key components from the ground up.

Honor developed an entirely new miniature motor for the system and leveraged advanced materials and simulation technologies originally created for foldable smartphones to overcome the engineering challenges of fitting the mechanism into such a limited space.

Flagship Camera with Arri Color Science

The Robot Phone is equipped with a 200-megapixel camera sensor mounted on the robotic gimbal.

Honor has also partnered with renowned cinema camera manufacturer ARRI, bringing the company’s signature color science and cinematic image tuning to the device.

According to Honor, the stabilization system achieves a CIPA 5.5 image stabilization rating, compensating for approximately 96% of walking-induced camera shake while maintaining 89% image stability during running. The company claims this delivers significantly smoother footage than conventional optical image stabilization systems in demanding shooting scenarios.

AI-Powered Interaction

Beyond photography, the Robot Phone integrates Honor’s on-device YOYO large language model, enabling a range of intelligent interactive features.

The AI can recognize the direction of a speaker’s voice and automatically rotate the camera to face them. The robotic gimbal can also express simple gestures—such as nodding or shaking its “head”—to create more natural interactions with users.

Honor says the Robot Phone can also connect with devices across its smart ecosystem, allowing it to function as a personal AI assistant, creative companion, and intelligent control hub.

Taking Aim at DJI Pocket

According to Luo Wei, Honor’s Chief Imaging Engineer, the original goal of the Robot Phone project was straightforward: to build the industry’s best smartphone for image stabilization and video recording.

As development progressed, the team expanded the concept by adding AI-driven interaction and emotional engagement features, transforming the device into something more than just a camera phone.

Luo also suggested that, in terms of core imaging performance, the Robot Phone is expected to deliver an experience that surpasses DJI’s popular Pocket series, positioning it as a strong competitor in the growing market for compact content creation devices.

If the leaked launch schedule proves accurate, Honor’s Robot Phone could become one of the most distinctive smartphone releases of 2026, blending robotics, AI, and mobile imaging into an entirely new category of consumer device.

July 7 – Igeekphone News

New details about Huawei’s upcoming foldable smartphone lineup have surfaced, suggesting the company is preparing a major expansion of its foldable portfolio over the next two years.

According to Chinese tech tipster Digital Chat Station, Huawei plans to launch two flagship foldable smartphones in the second half of 2026: the next-generation Huawei Mate XT2 tri-fold flagship and the Huawei Mate X9 large foldable. The leak also claims that Huawei is developing a brand-new compact wide-fold device, expected to debut in 2027.

Huawei Mate XT2 Could Introduce a New Folding Design

The Huawei Mate XT2 is expected to succeed the original Mate XT tri-fold smartphone and focus primarily on improving its folding mechanism.

According to current rumors, the device will replace the existing S-shaped folding structure with a completely new U-shaped folding design. Instead of folding in opposite directions, both sides of the flexible display would fold inward, enclosing and protecting the main screen inside the device.

The Mate XT2 is also rumored to feature a dedicated external display, allowing users to handle everyday tasks—such as answering calls, replying to messages, or scanning QR codes—without unfolding the main screen.

Powering the device is expected to be Huawei’s upcoming Kirin 9050 Pro processor, which could make its debut in the Mate XT2.

Huawei Mate X9 Expected to Get a Bigger Display and Larger Battery

Another major addition to Huawei’s foldable lineup is the Mate X9, the successor to the Mate X series.

According to the leak, the device will retain a 6.5-inch outer display while increasing the size of its foldable inner display to 8.15 inches, up from the 8.0-inch panel found on the previous generation.

Like the Mate XT2, the Mate X9 is expected to be powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro, which is also rumored to debut alongside the Huawei Mate 90 smartphone series.

Battery life is also expected to improve significantly, with the Mate X9 reportedly featuring a battery capacity of more than 6,000mAh.

On the camera front, Huawei is said to be upgrading the imaging system with a larger 1/1.3-inch main camera sensor, complemented by a dedicated telephoto camera and, likely, an ultra-wide-angle lens.

The Mate X9 is expected to start at around 10,000 yuan (approximately $1,390), although pricing for the Mate XT2 has yet to be revealed.

New “Small Wide-Fold” Device Could Arrive in 2027

Beyond its 2026 foldable lineup, the leak suggests Huawei is planning to introduce an entirely new compact wide-fold smartphone in 2027.

While details remain scarce, industry observers believe the device could become the successor to the Huawei Pura X, offering a more compact foldable design aimed at users seeking a balance between portability and a larger display.

As with all early leaks, Huawei has not officially confirmed these products, and specifications, launch timelines, and pricing could change before release.

iGEEKPHONE July 1st News: According to a blogger’s revelation, Huawei will release two major flagship devices simultaneously in September – the tri-fold screen Mate XT2 and the straight-plate flagship series Mate 90.

Among them, the Mate XT2 will compete directly with the Apple foldable iPhone Ultra that was launched at the same time. The foldable flagship devices of the two tech giants will have a head-on confrontation in the same month, and undoubtedly will become one of the most talked-about focuses in the mobile phone market in the second half of the year.

In terms of design, the Mate XT2 is the first to feature a U-shaped three-fold form. This device is equipped with two screens – an inner screen and an outer screen. Through a unique hinge structure, the inner screen folds inward on both sides, completely enclosing the main screen. All flexible display panels are stored inside the device body.

The direct benefit brought by this folding design is a significant improvement in the shock resistance and scratch protection of the device body. Users no longer need to worry about the external screen being scratched by hard objects due to its exposure during daily use, and the durability has been greatly enhanced.

In terms of color schemes, the Mate XT2 also offers four classic color options, namely Xuan Black, Rui Red, Zhi Xia, and Hao White. These colors are the same as those of the previous generation, balancing both the business-like elegance and the fashionable individuality.

In terms of hardware configuration, the Mate XT2 will be equipped with the Kirin 9050 series flagship chip. This chip is the first to adopt advanced logic folding technology, achieving a significant leap in transistor density and energy efficiency ratio. It can be regarded as the most powerful mobile phone chip of Huawei to date. Combined with the continuous optimization of Huawei’s imaging system and software ecosystem, the comprehensive experience of the Mate XT2 is expected to reach a new level.
In terms of price, considering the starting price of the previous generation Mate XTs at 17,999 yuan, and taking into account the improvements in hinge technology, screen material, and chip costs of the new generation product, the price of Huawei Mate XT2 is expected to be around 20,000 yuan.

Meanwhile, the Mate 90 series of full-screen flagship phones that are also on display will also be equipped with the Kirin 9050 platform, and will bring new upgrades in terms of imaging and display. As September approaches, this showdown between Huawei and Apple is highly anticipated.
