Am I wrong about Tag Markets? Maybe, (I don’t think I am) but is a risk I’m willing to take.” — Silvio Fortunato

Sonic AI was where this investigation started, but the further I followed it, the more interesting the people promoting it became.

That trail eventually led me to Silvio Fortunato, a Portuguese affiliate marketer and self-described system builder who says he has been involved in network marketing since the 1990s and digital marketing for more than 25 years.

I had never dealt with Silvio before this investigation. I found him because he was actively promoting Sonic AI Gold, with a personal referral link and videos walking people through creating an IB account, registering with TAG Markets, making a deposit and activating the Sonic AI copy-trading strategy. This wasn’t somebody standing on the sidelines discussing an investment product. Silvio confirmed to me directly that he is an affiliate.

But as I started pulling the opportunity apart, Sonic AI became increasingly difficult to describe as an AI trading business in its own right. Silvio has now told me that Sonic AI is simply the name of one human trading team available through TAG Markets. According to him, the traders don’t use AI to execute their trades and he doesn’t know why “AI” is even in the name. He also confirmed that SonicAIgold.com is not an official TAG Markets website. It is, in his words, a “team funnel” created by independent affiliates to promote TAG Markets.

That changed the direction of my investigation.

The promotional journey may begin with Sonic AI Gold, but ultimately it leads people towards TAG Markets — opening an account, depositing money and copying trades. There is also a financial incentive for affiliates along that journey. Silvio says TAG Markets pays a CPA for bringing investors and several types of bonuses across up to ten levels. Sonic AI Gold therefore appears to operate as a multi-level affiliate recruitment and onboarding funnel sitting in front of the broker.

Then I started investigating Silvio himself.

I discovered a promotional career stretching back decades, a long relationship with fellow affiliate marketer Paulo Barroso, and eventually a previous opportunity called Beurax. That history mattered because Silvio and Paulo had publicly discussed the importance of their due diligence back in 2021. Five years later, with the same two men involved in promoting another financial opportunity, I found myself asking essentially the same question: what had Silvio independently verified before putting his name and reputation behind this one?

To his credit, he answered me. After a lengthy WhatsApp exchange, I sent Silvio a formal right-of-reply document containing 30 questions. He took the time to read them and eventually returned an eight-page response explaining why he believes TAG Markets is legitimate, what happened with Beurax, what he considers acceptable risk and why he believes everyone joining through his team must ultimately conduct their own due diligence.

His response deserves to be represented fairly.

It also gave me considerably more to investigate.

Who Is Silvio Fortunato?

Silvio Fortunato presents himself as a veteran of the network-marketing and affiliate world. On his own website, he describes himself as a “Master of Multiple Income Streams” and a system builder, saying he has been creating systems since 2000 to help ordinary people become “Super Affiliates.” His LinkedIn profile goes further, claiming more than 25 years in digital marketing, experience building large teams, creating complete support systems and earning seven figures from some of the offers he promoted.

That background matters because Silvio isn’t presenting himself as a newcomer who stumbled across Sonic AI a few weeks ago. His entire business identity has been built around funnels, lead generation, duplication, affiliate offers and team-building systems. His own marketing repeatedly focuses on creating systems that other people can follow, rather than relying on individual sales ability. One of his current projects, LWS, is marketed around generating qualified leads, automating follow-up and helping network marketers recruit at scale.

He also remains active in network marketing today. Silvio says his My LW System was developed specifically to support his team inside LifeWave, while his wider promotional history stretches through multiple affiliate and MLM opportunities dating back many years. In a 2025 post, he celebrated receiving an affiliate award and described a formula built around team support systems, the right community and the right affiliate offer, while promoting a plan he said could take somebody from zero to $10,000 per month.

That is why his involvement with Sonic AI Gold caught my attention.

Silvio’s value to an opportunity isn’t simply that he can post a referral link. His business has been built around creating the infrastructure that helps other affiliates recruit, duplicate and grow teams. When somebody with that level of experience decides an opportunity is worth putting through one of those systems, the obvious question is not simply what he is promoting.

It is how he decided it was safe enough to promote in the first place.

A Career Built Around Recruitment Systems

The deeper I went into Silvio Fortunato’s history, the clearer one pattern became: he has spent years building systems around recruitment, lead generation and duplication.

His earlier footprint includes projects such as The Magnet System, which Silvio’s own current LWS material traces back to around 2008, and PTSender, an autoresponder platform launched in the Portuguese market in 2009 with Silvio identified as CEO. Later came Empower Network, where archived material identifies him as an international affiliate and describes him building teams and support systems around the opportunity. His YouTube archive also shows years of content connected to network-marketing businesses, including Jeunesse and more recently LifeWave.

What interests me is not simply the list of companies. It is the methodology that keeps repeating.

Silvio’s own language has been remarkably consistent over the years: build the system, generate the leads, automate the follow-up, make the process duplicatable, and give the team something they can plug into. His current LWS project says much the same thing today, promising network marketers a way to generate qualified prospects, recruit more efficiently and scale without relying on friends and family.

That approach can be powerful because it removes friction from recruitment. Instead of every affiliate having to explain an opportunity from scratch, the system does much of the work for them. A prospect sees the presentation, enters the funnel, receives the follow-up, and is directed towards the next step.

Silvio clearly understands that process very well.

That is also why his involvement in Sonic AI Gold matters more than the involvement of somebody who simply shares an occasional referral link. Silvio’s career has been built around creating the machinery that turns an opportunity into something other people can repeatedly promote.

And historically, not every opportunity attached to that machinery has ended well.

Beurax And The Due Diligence Question

The part of Silvio Fortunato’s history that matters most to this investigation is Beurax.

In March 2021, BehindMLM reported on a discussion involving Silvio and Paulo Barroso while Beurax was already in serious trouble. Paulo told viewers: “We’ve done our due-diligence before we put our names in Beurax. We don’t do things very lightly.” Silvio, meanwhile, was quoted saying that he had made a lot of money from the opportunity.

What makes that episode so relevant today is what happened next.

BehindMLM had already reported that Beurax’s supposed management included actors, and in the discussion Silvio appeared willing to give the operation the benefit of the doubt even after that problem had surfaced. He suggested there could be reasons why real people might want to hide behind actors in a sensitive international business. The important point is not BehindMLM’s opinion of that explanation. It is that Silvio and Paulo were publicly talking about having carried out due diligence while fundamental questions about who was actually running Beurax were still unresolved.

Then the promotional material started disappearing.

BehindMLM reported that Silvio removed the cited YouTube video shortly after its article appeared and later reported that he asked people to remove footage of him discussing Beurax. I have treated those claims as third-party reporting, not as something I independently witnessed at the time, which is why I put the issue directly to Silvio in my right-of-reply questions.

His response was much more candid than I expected.

Silvio described Beurax as “a horrible experience for me and for my team” and said it was so traumatic that he spent almost four years without promoting another opportunity of that kind. He also acknowledged making mistakes in the past by believing what companies told him about themselves and their business models.

I think he deserves credit for saying that.

But it also makes the present investigation impossible to separate from the past. If Beurax was serious enough to make Silvio step away for years, then the obvious question is what changed in his due-diligence process when he returned.

Five years ago, the language was that they had done their due diligence before putting their names behind Beurax.

Today, Silvio is once again putting his name behind a financial opportunity alongside Paulo Barroso.

So I wanted to know exactly what had been verified this time.

Five Years Later: Sonic AI Gold

Five years later, I found Silvio Fortunato and Paulo Barroso working together again, this time around Sonic AI Gold and TAG Markets.

The promotional material initially gives Sonic AI the appearance of a technology-driven trading product, but Silvio’s own explanation stripped away much of that impression. In his written response to me, he said Sonic AI is simply the name of one trading team available inside TAG Markets, which he says has more than 60 trader teams that clients can choose to copy. He also made something else very clear: the Sonic AI traders are human, not bots, and he does not know why “AI” is in the name.

That is a significant clarification because the branding does a lot of work before a prospective client ever reaches TAG Markets.

Silvio also confirmed that SonicAIgold.com is not an official TAG Markets website. He described it as a “team funnel” created by independent affiliates to help promote TAG Markets. That means Sonic AI Gold is not the broker, not the trading platform and not the entity with which the client ultimately opens the trading account. It is essentially the promotional layer sitting in front of TAG Markets, complete with presentations, referral links, onboarding instructions and an affiliate compensation structure.

The pathway becomes fairly easy to follow. A prospect encounters Sonic AI Gold, watches the presentation, receives an affiliate referral link, opens a TAG Markets account, funds it and then chooses to copy the Sonic trading strategy. Silvio’s own YouTube material walks people through that process, including creating an IB account, registering with TAG Markets, making a deposit and activating the copy-trading strategy.

And affiliates can be paid along the way.

Silvio says TAG Markets pays a CPA for bringing investors and several types of bonuses through up to ten levels, while the Sonic AI Gold material encourages affiliates to build teams and share the opportunity through their networks.

That makes Sonic AI Gold look much less like an independent AI trading company and much more like a multi-level affiliate acquisition funnel feeding clients into TAG Markets.

There was another unresolved issue. Earlier Sonic AI presentations described the strategy as being run by three German traders with around 15 years of experience, yet I still had not seen their names, independently verified professional histories or evidence showing where they had previously traded. Silvio’s later claim that TAG Markets has more than 60 trader teams only widened that question rather than answering it.

Who exactly are these traders, and what has been independently verified about them?

That question became even more important once I started following the money further into TAG Markets.

Following The Funnel To TAG Markets

Once I understood what Sonic AI Gold actually was, the investigation kept pulling me back to TAG Markets.

Silvio’s own explanation makes the relationship fairly straightforward. Sonic AI Gold is the promotional funnel. TAG Markets is where the client ultimately opens the trading account, where the deposit is made, where the copy-trading takes place and where the affiliate commissions are generated. Silvio says TAG Markets pays a CPA for bringing investors and several different bonuses through up to ten levels, while Sonic AI Gold provides the marketing system used to bring people into that structure.

That is also where some of the bigger claims begin. TAG Markets has promoted an Amplify concept using 12X language, while Sonic AI Gold material has referred to 24X amplification. I am deliberately not going too far into those mechanics here because TAG Markets deserves its own investigation. At this stage, I have not independently established precisely what that amplification represents economically or contractually, and I don’t want to describe it as conventional leverage without establishing that first.

I also raised a concern about whether activating Amplify required brokerage login credentials to pass through an affiliate or another person outside the customer’s direct relationship with TAG Markets. Silvio has now specifically corrected me on that point. According to him, customers do not need to provide their brokerage password or login credentials to an affiliate. He says that when copy trading is activated, the customer enters a token identifier, giving #aitech as an example, and the relevant arrangement is then activated automatically.

That is an important distinction, and I am happy to correct the record. I am not suggesting that TAG Markets requires customers to hand their brokerage passwords through an affiliate chain to activate Amplify. My remaining questions concern what the 12X and 24X amplification actually represents, what contractual conditions attach to it, and precisely how the token, CopyX strategy and affiliate relationship interact behind the scenes.

There are also regulatory questions I could not ignore. TAG Markets operates under a Mauritius regulatory framework, but its own website states that it is not authorised or regulated by any European Union regulatory authority and that EU clients do not receive EU investor-protection safeguards. Regulators in Austria and Luxembourg have also issued warnings concerning TAG Markets’ lack of authorisation to provide specified financial services in those jurisdictions.

Silvio’s position is that these warnings do not mean TAG Markets is a scam. He sees them primarily as jurisdictional issues and believes the company’s Mauritius regulation, trading infrastructure and disclosures give him enough confidence to participate. That is his view, and I have not declared TAG Markets a scam either.

But regulation was only one part of what I wanted to understand.

Silvio repeatedly pointed to TAG Markets’ own website, its disclaimers, MetaTrader 5, Myfxbook, his ability to withdraw money and the company’s claimed insurance and client numbers as reasons for his confidence. What I wanted to know was how much of that had been independently verified, rather than accepted from the company and the people promoting it.

Silvio has since offered to help put me directly in contact with somebody inside TAG Markets who can answer my remaining questions. I welcome that. TAG Markets should ultimately be the authoritative source for explaining how its own products, amplification arrangements, insurance, regulatory position and affiliate systems operate.

I had already approached TAG Markets directly without receiving the answers I was seeking. If Silvio can now facilitate access to somebody authorised to speak for the company, I am prepared to give TAG Markets another opportunity to respond.

Because ultimately, that became the central question I put to Silvio — and the question I now want TAG Markets itself to answer:

What has actually been independently verified?

I Asked Silvio To Explain His Due Diligence

Rather than speculate about what Silvio had or hadn’t checked, I asked him directly. What followed was a lengthy WhatsApp conversation in which he initially pointed me towards TAG Markets, its website and its disclaimers. At one point he told me that because TAG Markets was regulated, it had to obey strict compliance rules and that what it published on its website had to be true, reasoning that if the company falsely claimed to have insurance, for example, it could lose its licence.

I kept coming back to a narrower question: what had Silvio independently verified himself?

The conversation became heated at times. Silvio questioned my use of AI, accused me of wanting to write clickbait and challenged the fairness of my previous reporting on Paulo. But he also made an important request: instead of continuing a sprawling WhatsApp debate, he asked me to send him a complete list of questions and give him time to answer them.

So I did.

I prepared a formal 30-question right-of-reply document covering his affiliate compensation, Sonic AI, TAG Markets, regulation, the unnamed traders, insurance, his relationship with Paulo, Beurax and his previous due diligence. Silvio read it and, to his credit, sent me an eight-page written response. Plenty of people I investigate simply ignore questions like these. Silvio didn’t, and readers should know that.

His response also gave me a much clearer picture of what he regards as sufficient due diligence. Silvio pointed to TAG Markets being regulated in Mauritius, the trading being visible through MetaTrader 5, the Sonic strategy appearing on Myfxbook, his own experience making withdrawals, the company’s claim of 1.2 million clients and TAG Markets’ representation that client accounts have insurance coverage of up to $1 million. He said these factors gave him enough confidence to become both a client and an affiliate.

But there is an important distinction between checking that something exists and independently verifying the claims behind it.

For example, Silvio referred to the insurance disclosed by TAG Markets and asked rhetorically whether, if that insurance were false, the regulator would not simply turn off the company’s licence. Likewise, he reasoned that if significant withdrawal problems existed among a claimed 1.2 million clients, TAG Markets would have disappeared from the market long ago. Those arguments explain why Silvio believes the company is legitimate, but they do not independently establish that the client number is accurate, what the insurance actually covers, or who the people behind the Sonic trading strategy really are.

Some of my specific questions therefore remained unresolved. I still wasn’t given the identities and independently verifiable histories of the Sonic traders. Nor did his response provide the detailed evidence I had requested concerning their claimed experience, or fully resolve my questions around the legal basis for actively promoting TAG Markets to European residents.

Silvio nevertheless reached a clear conclusion from the information he had gathered.

He believes TAG Markets is a legitimate business and considers the risk acceptable.

The more interesting question was what responsibility he believed he carried when encouraging other people to make that same decision.

“Everyone Must Do Their Own Due Diligence”

Silvio’s response eventually revealed something more fundamental than whether he personally trusts TAG Markets. It revealed where he believes his responsibility ends and the responsibility of the people he recruits begins.

His position could hardly have been clearer. Silvio told me that every member of his team “SHOULD do their own” due diligence and should not make a decision based upon his research. He said he never gives financial advice, repeatedly tells people to use their own judgement and wrote: “I refuse to have responsibility in their own decision, there is no children here.” Elsewhere he repeated the same argument: people know there are risks, decide for themselves and “we are all adults here.”

There is truth in part of that argument. Anyone considering putting money into a trading platform should investigate it themselves. Sonic AI Gold also contains risk disclosures, and Silvio explicitly acknowledges two major risks: the broker could become insolvent and the traders could perform badly enough for clients to lose all their money. He says he makes no guarantees about future performance and considers copying Sonic AI an acceptable risk for himself.

But a disclaimer doesn’t make the promoter disappear from the transaction.

Silvio isn’t an anonymous customer who discovered TAG Markets and quietly decided to copy some trades. He is an experienced affiliate marketer who creates recruitment systems, publishes tutorials, supplies referral links and helps prospects navigate the process of registering, depositing and activating the strategy. He also acknowledges a compensation structure where affiliates can be rewarded for bringing investors and through bonuses extending up to ten levels.

That creates an obvious tension. You can tell somebody to conduct their own due diligence while simultaneously using your experience, reputation and marketing system to influence how they perceive an opportunity. The fact that the final decision belongs to the customer doesn’t erase the role played by the person who introduced them to it.

Silvio sees that differently. His position is that his own due diligence should not determine somebody else’s investment decision, because each person must make their own assessment.

For me, that is precisely why his due diligence matters.

When an experienced promoter decides an opportunity is credible enough to put in front of his audience, builds the pathway that helps people participate and can financially benefit when they do, I believe it is reasonable to ask what he checked before opening that door.

The 99% Claim And What Remains Unanswered

Silvio also challenged the idea that Beurax should define a career stretching back decades. I agree with him on that. One failed opportunity should not automatically erase everything somebody has done before or since. But during our correspondence, Silvio made a much broader claim about his track record, writing that “99% of the business I promote they were good business models that don’t defraud their clients.”

Because 99% sounded remarkably precise, I gave Silvio another opportunity to substantiate it before publication. I asked him for the fullest list he could remember of the opportunities he had promoted — not simply the ones that survived, but also those that failed, closed, disappointed him or that he later stopped promoting.

To his credit, he came back with considerably more information.

Silvio listed Amway, Herbalife, 4Life, Empower Network, BBOM, Jeunesse, Forsage, Safir, Beurax, Ultima/PLCUX, LifeWave and now TAG Markets. He also provided approximate periods of involvement and, importantly, didn’t attempt to portray every experience as successful. He said he stopped promoting BBOM after six months because it failed to deliver what was promised and, in his words, “most of the things they said were complete lies.” He said Safir failed to achieve its goals, described Beurax as an “exit scam”, and said he stopped promoting Ultima/PLCUX when it didn’t deliver what had been promised.

I am deliberately not turning that list into a percentage score. Doing so would require me to decide which of those opportunities should be classified as legitimate, successful, unsuccessful or otherwise — and the fact that a company survived, paid commissions or continues operating does not by itself answer those questions. I certainly don’t want readers interpreting a percentage calculated by me as an endorsement of the remaining businesses.

More importantly, Silvio has now clarified what he meant by 99%.

After reading the finished article, he wrote that “when i talk 99% maybe is exaggeration” and explained that his assessment was based on the amount of time he spent promoting what he regarded as successful operations, rather than a calculation comparing the number of good opportunities against bad ones.

That clarification matters. The 99% was never a calculated success rate. It was Silvio’s personal impression of his career, and following my questions he has acknowledged that the figure may have been exaggerated. I think that is considerably more informative than trying to manufacture a mathematical score from his history.

Importantly, Silvio has authorised me to publish that expanded response in full. I think that’s only fair. I published the questions I put to him, so readers should also be able to read his complete answers rather than relying solely on the passages I have selected and quoted in this investigation. The document also shows how his answers developed after I gave him the opportunity to read the finished article before publication. You can read Silvio Fortunato’s complete 15-page Expanded Response here in his own words.

Now he has returned, and one of the financial opportunities he has chosen to put his name behind is TAG Markets.

That doesn’t make TAG Markets illegitimate because previous opportunities went wrong, and it doesn’t make Silvio responsible for everything a company he promotes might eventually do. But it does make his current standard of due diligence particularly relevant.

And after giving him another opportunity to answer my questions, one of the biggest unresolved issues finally became clearer: the identities of the Sonic traders aren’t simply unknown to me — Silvio says TAG Markets deliberately keeps them private from clients.

According to Silvio, TAG Markets knows who the traders are, knows their histories and has contracts with them, but does not disclose their identities because almost 500,000 followers could potentially pressure them when trades fail or question their strategies. Silvio’s position is that their Myfxbook and MetaTrader 5 records are more important than their names. As he put it: “People lie, numbers don’t.”

That is a much clearer answer than I had before.

It also leaves me with essentially the same due-diligence question: if the people actually making the trading decisions remain anonymous to the clients being asked to copy them, how independently can their claimed experience, professional history and qualifications be verified?

Decades Of Experience Should Mean Better Due Diligence

After everything I found, I don’t think the fairest way to describe Silvio Fortunato is as somebody blindly promoting anything that lands in front of him. His expanded response shows that he has thought about TAG Markets, tested the service himself, made withdrawals, reviewed trading data and considered the risks. He has also done something many promoters I investigate never do: he answered my questions, read the finished article before publication and then came back with even more information when I challenged parts of his response.

I give him credit for that.

Silvio has also been considerably more candid about his history. He now acknowledges that his original 99% claim may have been exaggerated, describes himself as having been “very naive” when he moved into financial opportunities, and openly identifies several promotions that he says didn’t work out as expected. Most significantly, he describes Beurax as an “exit scam” and says the experience contributed to him stepping away from promoting opportunities for approximately four years.

But that history is precisely why I expected his standard of due diligence today to be exceptionally high.

In his latest response, Silvio explained that before promoting TAG Markets, he and Paulo wanted to establish that the company was who it claimed to be, had a professional structure, was licensed and regulated, had a sustainable and legal compensation plan, and that they understood the Sonic trading strategy, amplification arrangements and insurance. He says Paulo had been a TAG Markets client since February and visited its Dubai headquarters twice, taking questions from both of them to the company. Silvio says they scrutinised TAG Markets until they reached “a level of trust” where they felt confident it was safe to promote to their list.

That gives me a much better understanding of what Silvio actually did before deciding to promote it.

It doesn’t resolve all of my questions.

We now know, according to Silvio, that the identities of the Sonic traders are deliberately withheld from clients. He believes their names aren’t important because their trading strategy, risk management, consistency, Myfxbook record and trades visible through MetaTrader 5 provide the information investors actually need. His phrase “People lie, numbers don’t” neatly summarises his position.

My standard is different. I would still want to independently establish who the traders are, verify their claimed professional histories and understand precisely who is responsible for managing the strategy. I would want independent confirmation of what the insurance covers. I would want to understand exactly how the 12X and 24X amplification arrangements work. And I would want the regulatory position established for the jurisdictions in which clients are actively being recruited, rather than assuming that a regulatory licence in one jurisdiction answers every question about another.

Silvio reaches a different conclusion from the evidence he has seen. He believes TAG Markets is legitimate, believes Sonic AI represents an acceptable trading risk and says money was not the reason he decided to promote it. He believes the opportunity can help people.

Perhaps the most revealing line in his original response remains one of the fairest:

“Am I wrong about Tag Markets? Maybe, (I don’t think I am) but is a risk i’m willing to take.”

And that is where I am leaving Silvio’s part of this investigation.

I haven’t concluded that TAG Markets is a scam simply because regulators have issued warnings, because promoters receive commissions, because some of Silvio’s previous opportunities ended badly, or because questions remain unanswered. That isn’t how I investigate. I follow the evidence until I understand how the operation actually works.

What I have established is that Sonic AI Gold is an affiliate-created funnel leading people into TAG Markets; its “AI” strategy is, according to Silvio himself, operated by human traders whose identities are deliberately kept private from clients; affiliates can benefit financially from introducing clients and building organisations; and there remain claims I consider important enough to independently verify.

Silvio says everyone joining his team must do their own due diligence.

I agree.

So that’s exactly what I’m doing.

Instead of repeatedly applying e-liquid directly to the coil, users can feed the atomizer from the built-in squonk bottle while maintaining a hands-on rebuildable setup.

Instead of following the increasingly common pod or disposable format, the Flipside Solo stays with the regulated squonk mod concept. It combines a replaceable battery, a built-in squonk bottle, adjustable wattage and a bottom-feed 510 connection in a relatively compact chassis.

Its headline specification is up to 100W of regulated output, but the more interesting part of the device is how DOVPO fits that power system around a single 18650 or 21700 battery and a 10ml squonk bottle. Current product information consistently lists those core specifications, along with a 0.96-inch TFT screen and 0.07–3.5Ω resistance range.

What Is the DOVPO Flipside Solo?

The Flipside Solo is a regulated bottom-feed squonk box mod designed to work with BF-compatible RDAs.

The basic idea behind squonking is simple. Instead of repeatedly removing the cap of an RDA and dripping e-liquid directly onto the coil, the mod stores e-liquid in a soft bottle inside the device. Pressing the bottle sends liquid upward through the 510 connection and into the bottom-feed atomizer.

That changes the rhythm of using an RDA.

You still get the rebuildable nature of a dripper, but the e-liquid bottle is integrated into the mod rather than carried separately. The Flipside Solo’s 10ml bottle is therefore not just another specification—it is the feature that defines the device’s purpose.

The Real Reason to Choose a Squonk Mod

Squonk devices occupy an unusual position in the vape market.

Pod systems have made vaping hardware increasingly simple, while rebuildable atomizers continue to appeal to users who want to choose their own coils, cotton and airflow configuration.

If you are new to this style of hardware, our guide to squonk vape mods explains how bottom-feed systems work and why they are commonly paired with rebuildable atomizers.

A squonk mod sits somewhere between those two approaches.

The atomizer remains rebuildable, but liquid feeding becomes more convenient. Instead of carrying a separate bottle and dripping after several draws, the user can squeeze the integrated bottle when the RDA needs more e-liquid.

The Flipside Solo is built specifically around this workflow.

It is therefore less useful to think of it as simply a “100W box mod.” Its real identity is a compact regulated power source with integrated bottom feeding.

100W Output in a Single-Battery Format

The Flipside Solo supports adjustable output from 5W to 100W. Its regulated chipset is designed to control the power rather than simply sending the battery’s raw voltage to the atomizer.

For a single-battery device, 100W gives the mod considerable headroom.

It can accommodate lower-power flavor-focused builds as well as more demanding RDA configurations, although the appropriate wattage ultimately depends on the coil build and atomizer being used.

The important point is that the Flipside Solo is not locked into one output level. Users can adjust the wattage according to their rebuildable setup instead of treating the mod as a fixed-output device.

One Battery, Two Battery Formats

DOVPO gives the Flipside Solo compatibility with one 21700 or one 18650 battery.

A supplied adapter allows an 18650 cell to be used, while a 21700 can be installed directly. The batteries are external and are not included with the mod.

For users choosing between different external-cell formats, our guide to 21700 vape batteries explains the main differences between 21700 and 18650 batteries used in regulated mods.

This arrangement gives the device two practical configurations.

A 21700 battery can provide the larger-cell format and is well suited to users who want to make full use of a high-capacity modern battery. An 18650 provides another option for people who already have compatible cells and prefer the smaller battery format.

For a squonk mod, external battery access also means that users can replace the battery rather than treating the entire device as a disposable power system.

As always with external-cell mods, users should only use appropriate batteries, inspect cells for damage and follow the manufacturer’s battery-safety guidance.

A 10ml Squonk Bottle Changes the Daily Workflow

The Flipside Solo includes a 10ml silicone squonk bottle, giving the device a substantial internal e-liquid reservoir for an RDA-based setup.

That capacity matters because the main advantage of squonking is reducing the frequency of manual dripping.

The bottle is accessed through the device’s dedicated opening, and current product information describes a design intended to make bottle access and refilling relatively straightforward.

For someone who already enjoys an RDA but finds constant dripping inconvenient, this is arguably more important than the 100W rating.

The Flipside Solo essentially turns the mod itself into an e-liquid reservoir.

Why the BF 510 Connection Matters

The Flipside Solo is designed around a bottom-feed 510 connection, meaning the attached atomizer needs to support squonk/BF liquid feeding if the internal bottle is to be used as intended.

Because the Flipside Solo is designed for BF-compatible RDAs, readers can also explore our guide to RDA vape tanks to understand how rebuildable dripping atomizers differ from conventional tanks.

This is an important distinction when choosing an atomizer.

A conventional RDA without a suitable squonk pin will not provide the same bottom-feed functionality. Users therefore need to check that their RDA is BF compatible before pairing it with the Flipside Solo.

This also explains why the device is aimed more at experienced rebuildable users than at people looking for a plug-and-play starter system.

0.07–3.5Ω Resistance Range

The Flipside Solo supports a resistance range of approximately 0.07Ω to 3.5Ω.

That is a broad range for a regulated squonk mod.

At the lower end, the device can accommodate low-resistance rebuildable configurations, while the upper end gives users considerably more flexibility for higher-resistance builds.

Of course, a wide supported resistance range does not mean every build should be operated at the same power level. Coil material, build design, RDA airflow and the intended vaping style all influence the appropriate settings.

The value of the specification is primarily that the mod does not restrict users to a narrow resistance window.

The 0.96-Inch TFT Screen Keeps the Interface Simple

The Flipside Solo uses a 0.96-inch TFT display.

Rather than filling the front of the device with a large touchscreen, DOVPO uses a relatively compact screen that provides the essential operating information while keeping the overall mod small. Current listings describe the display as showing key information such as wattage, resistance and battery status.

That approach makes sense for a squonk mod.

The device’s primary job is to provide reliable power and liquid feeding, not to function like a smartphone. A clear display with physical controls can be more practical when adjusting settings while holding an RDA-equipped mod.

USB-C Charging Adds Convenience

The Flipside Solo supports USB-C charging at up to 2A, according to multiple current product listings.

USB-C is a useful addition for a device using a removable battery because it gives users an additional way to replenish the installed cell.

However, external-battery users should still understand the difference between charging convenience and battery-management practice. A dedicated external charger can provide another charging option and allows spare cells to be managed separately.

The built-in USB-C port is best viewed as a convenience feature rather than a reason to ignore proper battery handling.

Compact Dimensions Are One of Its Strongest Features

The Flipside Solo measures approximately 82 × 46 × 30.5mm, depending on how the dimensions are presented by the retailer.

For a regulated squonk device containing both a replaceable battery and a 10ml bottle, that is a relatively compact footprint.

The short height is particularly relevant for portability. The device does not have to become a large box simply because it incorporates a squonk reservoir.

Its alloy construction also contributes to the overall feel. Product listings describe a combination of aluminum and zinc alloy, giving the chassis a more substantial construction than lightweight plastic disposable hardware.

The Design Is About Access, Not Just Appearance

The Flipside Solo’s physical layout reflects its purpose.

The battery and squonk bottle need to remain accessible, while the 510 platform needs to provide a stable connection for the RDA. The result is a body built around practical access rather than a minimalist slab-like design.

Current product descriptions also highlight a side-access approach to the squonk bottle, allowing users to reach the reservoir without dismantling the entire mod.

That is the kind of detail that matters more during everyday use than cosmetic specifications.

A squonk mod can have excellent electronics, but if filling the bottle or changing the battery is unnecessarily complicated, the advantages of the format become less useful.

Who Is the Flipside Solo Actually For?

The Flipside Solo is not a universal replacement for a pod or starter kit.

Its design makes the most sense for experienced adult vapers who already understand rebuildable atomizers and want a regulated squonk setup.

It may appeal to users who:

Prefer rebuildable RDAs

Want bottom-feed liquid delivery

Like single-battery mods

Want 21700 and 18650 flexibility

Need up to 100W of adjustable power

Prefer physical controls over touchscreen interfaces

Want a large internal squonk bottle

Value a compact mod body

For someone who has never built a coil or used a BF RDA, the Flipside Solo introduces considerably more complexity than a conventional pod system.

Specifications are compiled from multiple current product listings; minor package contents and atomizer-size compatibility details can vary by seller or market.

What Comes in the Box?

The standard package is centered around the mod and its squonk accessories.

Current listings commonly include:

DOVPO Flipside Solo Squonk Mod

Squonk bottle

18650 battery adapter

Battery wraps

User manual

Some retailers also list a USB-C cable in the package, while others do not, so buyers should check the exact retailer package contents before ordering.

The battery and RDA are not normally included, meaning the Flipside Solo should be regarded as a mod rather than a complete vape kit.

Why the Flipside Solo Still Makes Sense in a Pod-Dominated Market

The current vape market is heavily focused on pods, disposables and increasingly automated devices.

The Flipside Solo represents almost the opposite philosophy.

It gives the user control over the atomizer, coil build, resistance and wattage while retaining the convenience of integrated liquid feeding.

That makes it an interesting option for people who do not want their vaping hardware to become completely automated.

The squonk bottle also solves one of the classic inconveniences of RDA use without eliminating the rebuildable aspect that attracts enthusiasts to drippers in the first place.

Final Thoughts

DOVPO Flipside Solo Squonk Box Mod is a specialized device built around a clear idea: make bottom-feed RDA vaping more practical without turning it into a simplified pod-style experience.

Its 5–100W regulated output, single 21700/18650 battery support, 10ml squonk bottle, 0.96-inch TFT display, USB-C charging and 0.07–3.5Ω resistance range give it the hardware flexibility expected from a modern regulated squonk mod.

But its biggest selling point is not any single number.

It is the way those components work together. The replaceable battery supports extended use, the internal bottle reduces the need for manual dripping, and the BF 510 connection lets the mod feed compatible RDAs from below.

The Flipside Solo is built around a rebuildable setup with an integrated squonk system, giving experienced adult users a way to manage e-liquid without frequently removing the bottle for manual refilling of the atomizer. Its compact form also keeps the device relatively straightforward to carry and operate.

Rather than targeting every vaping style, the device concentrates on a specific configuration that combines regulated wattage, rebuildable atomizers, and bottom-fed e-liquid delivery. This makes its feature set particularly relevant to users already familiar with squonk-style box mods.

A new look at the upcoming iQOO Pad Ultra has provided some early clues about its design and thermal hardware. An image attributed to blogger @Digital Chat Station shows a tablet with a punch-hole camera positioned at the center of the display. The same leak points to an integrated cooling fan, suggesting that iQOO is preparing the device to handle heat generated during intensive tasks and gaming.

The prototype gives a closer look at how iQOO is approaching the small-tablet segment. Instead of relying entirely on passive cooling, the Pad Ultra appears to integrate an active fan directly into its compact chassis.

iQOO Pad Ultra Uses a Centered Punch-Hole Display

According to the leaked prototype image, the iQOO Pad Ultra features a single punch-hole camera positioned at the center of the tablet’s shorter edge. The display is also expected to use a narrow-bezel design, giving the compact tablet a relatively high screen-to-body ratio.

Previous reports indicate that the Pad Ultra will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display. This puts it in the increasingly popular small-tablet category, where manufacturers are targeting users who want a larger screen than a smartphone without the size and weight of a conventional 11-inch tablet.

The reported device measures just 5.74mm thick and weighs approximately 298 grams, suggesting that iQOO is attempting to keep the chassis portable despite adding active cooling hardware.

Built-In Fan Offers Three Cooling Modes

One of the most unusual features revealed by the prototype is the tablet’s integrated cooling fan.

The iQOO Pad Ultra reportedly provides three fan modes:

Low-noise mode

Intelligent mode

High-speed mode

Users can reportedly adjust the fan speed according to their needs. The cooling system can also automatically activate under certain conditions rather than requiring manual control every time.

For example, the fan is said to support temperature-based automatic startup, automatic activation while gaming, and automatic operation during fast charging.

This approach could be particularly relevant for a high-performance compact tablet. Gaming and other sustained workloads can generate considerably more heat than everyday browsing or video playback, so an active cooling system gives iQOO more flexibility when tuning performance.

Compact Cooling Hardware Inside the Tablet

Despite its small size, the cooling module reportedly has dedicated hardware designed specifically for the Pad Ultra.

The disclosed specifications include a 30 × 30 × 3.5mm fan, with a reported cooling area of 1,661mm². Its maximum rotational speed is listed at 14,500 RPM, while maximum airflow is rated at approximately 0.94 CFM.

These numbers indicate that the cooling system is designed around maintaining performance inside a particularly thin tablet chassis rather than simply providing occasional thermal assistance.

The combination of selectable fan modes and automatic triggers could also allow the device to balance performance and acoustic output depending on what the user is doing.

Gaming Accessories Add to the Small-Tablet Focus

iQOO is also reportedly preparing two accessories for the Pad Ultra: a stretchable gaming controller and a rear grip.

The controller is designed to turn the compact tablet into a more dedicated gaming tablet, while the rear grip should provide an alternative way to hold the tablet during longer gaming sessions.

This accessory strategy fits with the tablet’s reported high-performance hardware. Rather than positioning the Pad Ultra purely as a lightweight media device, iQOO appears to be targeting users who want gaming-oriented performance in a smaller form factor.

Reported Snapdragon Chip and 9,000mAh Battery

Earlier reports have also provided several details about the iQOO Pad Ultra’s internal hardware.

The tablet is expected to use a 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6 processor, paired with a 9,000mAh battery. If these specifications are accurate, The combination of a powerful mobile chipset and a large battery makes the iQOO Pad Ultra particularly interesting for users looking for a high-performance Android tablet.

The reported hardware also helps explain why iQOO is incorporating an active cooling solution. A powerful mobile chipset inside a chassis measuring only 5.74mm thick creates a demanding thermal design challenge, particularly when the device is used for gaming or fast charging.

The Pad Ultra is reportedly planned in two color options: End-of-the-World Black and Star Armor Silver.

iQOO Pad Ultra: What the Prototype Reveals

The latest prototype leak presents the iQOO Pad Ultra as a compact OLED tablet with a distinctly performance-focused design. Its reported 8.8-inch display, 5.74mm thickness, 298g weight, 9,000mAh battery, and built-in active cooling system make it different from many conventional small tablets.

The three fan modes and automatic cooling triggers are particularly notable because they give users more control over how the tablet handles sustained workloads. Meanwhile, the optional gaming controller and rear grip suggest that gaming will be one of the device’s major use cases.

These details should be treated as preliminary because they come from leaks and an early prototype rather than an official product release. iQOO could still make changes to the tablet’s hardware or design before launch. The final specifications, price, release markets, and supported accessories will only be clear once the company publishes its official product information.

Vaporesso ARMOUR family is built around a simple idea: a vape mod should be able to handle demanding everyday use without being treated like a fragile piece of electronics. Vaporesso ARMOUR OCTA and ARMOUR ULTRA take that idea in two different directions.

At first glance, the two devices have plenty in common. Both use Vaporesso’s iTank T platform, support GTi Dual Mesh coils, feature a 0.96-inch TFT screen, offer USB-C charging, and are designed with substantial protection against water, dust, and accidental drops. But underneath the similar ARMOUR branding, they are quite different devices, so readers comparing different Vaporesso vape coils can also explore how coil resistance affects wattage, vapor production, and battery consumption.

The ARMOUR OCTA is a traditional high-power dual-18650 mod capable of up to 220W. The ARMOUR ULTRA instead uses a built-in 5500mAh battery and limits output to 100W. That makes this comparison less about which specification is bigger and more about whether you prefer replaceable batteries and high output or large built-in capacity and a simpler all-in-one setup.

Note: This article is based on the manufacturers’ published specifications and features rather than a long-term hands-on test. Real-world battery life, flavor, coil longevity, and comfort can vary depending on wattage, airflow, e-liquid, and usage habits.

The numbers immediately reveal the intended distinction. The OCTA is substantially heavier and wider in its battery-oriented design, while the ULTRA puts a large 5500mAh battery into a narrower all-in-one body. Vaporesso lists the OCTA at 362g and the ULTRA at 256g.

ARMOUR OCTA: A Classic High-Power Mod With Modern Protection

The ARMOUR OCTA is the more traditional choice for experienced mod users who prefer removable batteries. According to the official Vaporesso ARMOUR OCTA specifications, the device supports up to 220W output and uses two external 18650 batteries.

It uses two 18650 cells, which are not included with the kit, and can deliver up to 220W. Charging is handled through USB-C at 5V/2.5A, while the 0.96-inch TFT screen provides the main device information.

That dual-battery architecture changes how the device fits into a user’s routine. Instead of relying entirely on the internal battery, spare compatible cells can be carried separately and swapped when necessary. For high-power vaping, this can be useful because battery management becomes a separate part of the setup.

The trade-off is obvious: the OCTA is not particularly light. Its listed weight is 362g before considering the additional weight of the batteries and e-liquid. Its dimensions are 146.3 × 30.8 × 55mm.

220W Gives the OCTA More Headroom

The 220W maximum does not mean every user needs to vape anywhere near 220W. In fact, the included GTi 0.2Ω Dual Mesh coil is specified for 60–75W, with 65W listed as its best setting, while the included 0.4Ω Dual Mesh coil is rated at 50–60W, with 55W listed as its best setting.

The value of 220W is therefore more about headroom and flexibility than the expectation of continuously using maximum power.

The OCTA is also compatible with additional GTi coil options, including 0.15Ω Dual Mesh, 0.15Ω Mesh, 0.2Ω Mesh, and 0.4Ω Mesh configurations. Vaporesso lists the 0.15Ω options at 75–90W, with 85W as the recommended setting.

Vaporesso Armour Octa Battery

Vaporesso Armour Ultra Battery

For users who already understand wattage, resistance, airflow, and battery management, this broader power envelope makes the OCTA a more conventional enthusiast-oriented mod.

ARMOUR ULTRA: The 5500mAh Alternative

The ARMOUR ULTRA approaches the same DTL category from a different angle.

Instead of two removable 18650 batteries, it incorporates a 5500mAh built-in battery and provides up to 100W of output. Vaporesso says the battery is designed to deliver performance comparable to two 18650 cells, while its laboratory testing claims up to three days of use under its stated conditions.

The important difference is convenience.

There is no need to purchase, charge, pair, or carry spare 18650 cells. You charge the device through USB-C and use the integrated battery. For someone who wants a powerful DTL setup without maintaining an external-battery system, that is a meaningful change.

The ULTRA also supports 9V/2A or 5V/3A charging and has the same 0.96-inch TFT display size as the OCTA.

Smaller Body, Lower Maximum Output

The ULTRA measures 144.5 × 37.6 × 31mm and weighs 256g according to Vaporesso’s product specifications. It is therefore 106g lighter than the OCTA as listed, although the comparison involves different battery architectures.

Its 100W ceiling is still considerably above the recommended wattage of the two included coils. The 0.2Ω Dual Mesh coil is rated for 60–75W, while the 0.4Ω version is rated for 50–60W.

That means the ULTRA’s 100W limit is unlikely to be a major restriction for someone using the included GTi coils within Vaporesso’s recommended ranges.

Both Devices Use the Same iTank T Platform

One of the most important similarities is the tank system.

Both the ARMOUR OCTA and ARMOUR ULTRA kits come with the Vaporesso iTank T, a 6ml version for the global configuration, along with GTi 0.2Ω Dual Mesh and 0.4Ω Dual Mesh coils. TPD versions are listed with a 2ml capacity.

This means the comparison is not really about two completely different vaping platforms. The same general tank and coil ecosystem sits on top of two very different power systems.

The iTank T uses a widened airflow design. Vaporesso says its airflow system is designed to increase air intake while keeping operation quiet, and the airflow can be adjusted.

The tank also uses a sliding top-fill design on the ARMOUR ULTRA, allowing the user to open the filling section with one hand.

GTi Dual Mesh Coils Are the Common Ground

Both kits include the same two GTi Dual Mesh coils.

The 0.2Ω version is intended for 60–75W, with 65W listed as its best setting. The 0.4Ω version is rated for 50–60W, with 55W listed as the best setting.

Vaporesso says the Dual Mesh structure is designed to heat e-liquid more evenly and claims a 30% longer coil lifespan based on its own laboratory testing. That should be treated as a manufacturer test claim rather than a guarantee of actual lifespan for every user.

The broader GTi platform also gives both devices room for future coil choices. The official specifications list 0.15Ω Dual Mesh and 0.15Ω Mesh options, alongside 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω configurations.

Protection Is a Major Part of the ARMOUR Identity

The strongest common theme between the two devices is durability.

The ARMOUR OCTA is listed with IP68/IP69K-related protection, dust resistance, waterjet protection, and 1.2m drop resistance. Vaporesso also describes battery-related protections including voltage-surge protection and charging overheat protection.

The ARMOUR ULTRA similarly carries IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H 1.2m drop-test claims. Vaporesso states that these certifications and tests apply to the mod itself and were conducted under standardized third-party laboratory conditions.

This distinction matters: the protection ratings should not automatically be interpreted as meaning the complete setup, including the tank and installed e-liquid, can be exposed to every condition without limitation.

OCTA Adds Extra Battery Protection

The OCTA has a particularly battery-focused protection system because it relies on external 18650 cells.

Vaporesso says its Battery Guard can cut output when the voltage difference between batteries exceeds 0.9V, with the aim of reducing risks associated with mixed, old, or worn batteries. It also incorporates charging overheat protection that stops charging when the stated threshold exceeds 75°C.

This is relevant to the OCTA’s removable-battery design because battery selection and condition become part of responsible ownership.

Performance: Where the Two Mods Actually Diverge

On paper, the ARMOUR OCTA has considerably more output headroom.

Its 220W maximum makes it the more powerful platform, while the dual-18650 architecture allows users to manage their batteries independently. For users who enjoy experimenting with different GTi coils and higher wattage settings, the additional output range is the defining feature.

The ARMOUR ULTRA takes the opposite approach. Its 100W maximum is lower, but the 5500mAh integrated battery is much more straightforward. The device is designed around endurance rather than extreme output.

There is also a useful practical point here: maximum wattage alone does not determine the quality of a vaping experience. The coil, airflow, e-liquid, resistance, and actual wattage used all influence how the device behaves. Since both products share the iTank T and the same included GTi Dual Mesh coils, the largest difference between them is the power-and-battery architecture rather than the basic tank platform.

Design and Everyday Carry

The OCTA’s 362g listed weight makes its rugged dual-battery construction noticeable. It is better understood as a substantial mod than a lightweight pocket device.

The ULTRA, at 256g, is lighter while still carrying a 5500mAh battery. Its dimensions are also shaped differently, with a narrower 31mm depth but a wider 37.6mm dimension.

Both devices use protective structural elements rather than relying solely on a smooth decorative shell. The OCTA includes TPU protection, a tank protector, silicone protection around the USB port, and an anti-collision pad.

The ULTRA uses a metal cage-like frame, tank protection, protected buttons, and a USB port cover.

So while both are designed for demanding environments, their physical design reflects their different battery strategies.

If you’re comparing other devices from the brand, our Vaporesso pod vape collection provides a broader look at the company’s latest pod systems and vape hardware.

Charging and Battery Management

This is another area where the difference is straightforward.

The ARMOUR OCTA uses two removable 18650 batteries and supports USB-C charging at 5V/2.5A. Because the batteries are removable, users can carry compatible spare cells rather than waiting for the device itself to recharge.

The ARMOUR ULTRA has a 5500mAh internal battery and supports 9V/2A or 5V/3A charging over USB-C.

The ULTRA is therefore more self-contained, while the OCTA provides the flexibility associated with replaceable cells.

Neither approach is universally better; they simply require different habits.

ARMOUR OCTA vs ARMOUR ULTRA: Which Specs Matter Most?

If you are comparing the two devices, it helps to ignore the marketing language and focus on the hardware differences.

Choose the OCTA configuration when these characteristics matter to you:

220W maximum output

Dual external 18650 batteries

Replaceable-battery convenience

More power headroom

Broad GTi coil compatibility

Heavy-duty mod construction

Dedicated battery protection features

The ULTRA’s key characteristics are different:

5500mAh built-in battery

100W maximum output

USB-C fast-charging options

Lower listed weight than the OCTA

6ml iTank T in the global kit

Same 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω GTi Dual Mesh coils

IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H protection claims

Built-in battery simplicity

The most important decision is therefore not simply “220W versus 100W.” It is external dual-battery flexibility versus large built-in battery convenience.

Final Thoughts

Vaporesso ARMOUR OCTA and ARMOUR ULTRA share enough hardware to feel like members of the same family, but they are aimed at different types of mod users.

The ARMOUR OCTA is the more traditional high-power option. Its dual 18650 battery configuration, 220W maximum output, extensive GTi coil compatibility, and dedicated battery protection make it a substantial platform for users who want more control over the power system.

The ARMOUR ULTRA simplifies the same general DTL concept with a 5500mAh internal battery and a 100W output ceiling. It is lighter than the OCTA as listed, supports faster USB-C charging options, and keeps the same iTank T and GTi Dual Mesh ecosystem.

In other words, the OCTA is built around replaceable-battery power and higher output, while the ULTRA focuses on battery capacity, portability, and all-in-one convenience.

Both are adult nicotine-vaping products, and nicotine is addictive. Users should follow applicable local laws, age restrictions, battery-safety guidance, and the manufacturer’s instructions.

The ONEO PRO is the more conventional high-output pod system. It combines a 40W maximum output with a 2,100mAh internal battery, a 0.96-inch full-color screen and interchangeable ONEO-series cartridges. The UNIONE takes a different route, pairing a lower-power output with a large 10ml cartridge system, an 1,100mAh battery and a hidden 0.96-inch display.

So, the interesting part of this comparison is not simply which device has more specifications. It is how those specifications change the way each pod system is intended to be used.

The specifications immediately show why these devices should not be treated as direct replacements for one another. ONEO PRO puts considerably more emphasis on output, battery capacity and screen-based control, while UNIONE makes its large cartridge system and simple refill concept central to the design.

ONEO PRO Is Built Around More Power

The most obvious difference is output.

The ONEO PRO reaches up to 40W, giving it considerably more power headroom than the UNIONE. OXVA pairs that output with a 2,100mAh internal battery and adjustable side airflow.

UNIONE, by comparison, operates at 15.5W in ECO mode and 17.5W in Boost mode. Rather than providing a wide wattage range, it uses two predefined operating modes.

This changes the character of the two devices. ONEO PRO provides greater control over power, while UNIONE is built around a simpler two-mode experience.

OXVA Oneo Pro battery

OXVA UNIONE Battery

For readers comparing OXVA ONEO PRO vs UNIONE, the wattage difference is therefore more than a number on a specification sheet. It reflects two different approaches to pod design.

Battery Capacity Gives ONEO PRO More Headroom

ONEO PRO contains a 2,100mAh battery, almost twice the capacity of the UNIONE’s 1,100mAh battery. The difference is substantial, although battery life cannot be determined from capacity alone because output level and usage habits also affect consumption.

The charging systems differ too. ONEO PRO supports 5V/2A USB-C charging, while UNIONE is rated at 5V/1A.

This makes ONEO PRO the more hardware-intensive device. It has a larger battery because it is also designed to operate at significantly higher power.

UNIONE takes the opposite approach: lower power consumption is combined with a large refillable pod so the device can focus on convenience rather than maximum output.

The Biggest UNIONE Difference Is Its 10ml Pod

If there is one feature that separates the UNIONE from conventional pod systems, it is the cartridge design.

OXVA lists the standard UNIONE cartridge at 10ml, while the TPD configuration uses a 2ml active chamber with an additional 8ml storage section. The company describes this as a “10ML Mega Pod” and emphasizes the top-fill design.

ONEO PRO instead uses a 4ml cartridge, with a 2ml TPD version. Its cartridge uses a top-fill design as well.

The capacity difference is significant because it changes how often the user needs to refill the device.

ONEO PRO pod specs

OXVA UNIONE Specs

UNIONE is clearly built around the idea of reducing refill frequency. ONEO PRO is more conventional, with a smaller cartridge paired with a substantially larger battery and higher output.

UNIONE Uses a Different Cartridge Philosophy

UNIONE’s cartridge is not simply a larger version of the ONEO PRO pod.

OXVA lists a 0.8Ω UNIONE cartridge and describes the system as being powered by UNITECH 2.0. It also includes an optimized leak-protection structure built around separate active and storage chambers.

The UNIONE page describes a 2ml active chamber and an 8ml storage chamber. According to OXVA, the arrangement is intended to manage e-liquid pressure while helping reduce leakage.

ONEO PRO takes a more flexible cartridge approach. Its compatible ONEO PRO cartridges include 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω options, while the broader ONEO cartridge family also includes 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω versions. OXVA says the cartridges are cross-compatible between ONEO and ONEO PRO, although their top caps are not interchangeable.

That gives ONEO PRO a wider range of cartridge choices than the UNIONE platform.

ONEO PRO Offers a More Informative Display

Both devices have a 0.96-inch display, but the implementation is different.

ONEO PRO uses a 0.96-inch full-color TFT screen. OXVA also gives the device button-based controls, including shortcuts for entering the menu, adjusting output, locking the device and turning it on or off.

UNIONE has a 0.96-inch hidden screen designed to remain unobtrusive until information is needed. The device also supports a double-tap action for switching between its two operating modes.

In other words, the screens have the same diagonal measurement but serve different design philosophies. ONEO PRO makes the display part of the control experience, while UNIONE keeps the interface more discreet.

Both Use Adjustable Side Airflow

Despite their differences, the two devices share an important feature: side airflow control.

This allows users to adjust the amount of air entering the device rather than being restricted to one fixed draw. OXVA lists side AFC for both ONEO PRO and UNIONE.

The surrounding hardware, however, is different. ONEO PRO combines adjustable airflow with higher output and several cartridge resistance options. UNIONE combines it with its lower-power two-mode system and 0.8Ω cartridge.

That means airflow is one of the similarities between the two devices, but it does not make them identical in use.

ONEO PRO Is Taller; UNIONE Has a Different Shape

The dimensions also reveal different design priorities.

ONEO PRO measures 33.8 × 24.46 × 105.3mm and weighs 120g. UNIONE measures 47 × 22 × 94mm and weighs 116.3g.

UNIONE is slightly lighter despite having a much larger nominal cartridge capacity. Its wider, shorter body also gives it a different physical profile.

ONEO PRO is narrower in width but taller, giving it a more traditional elongated pod shape.

Neither design is simply a scaled version of the other. The physical differences are closely connected to their respective battery and cartridge arrangements.

What Both Devices Have in Common

The comparison is not all about differences.

Both ONEO PRO and UNIONE use OXVA’s UNITECH 2.0 technology, USB-C charging, side airflow adjustment and a 0.96-inch display. Both are also designed around refillable cartridges rather than being disposable-only products.

They also support both nicotine salt and freebase e-liquid according to OXVA’s listed specifications.

The shared technology makes the comparison useful, because it shows how OXVA uses the same underlying platform in two different product concepts.

ONEO PRO vs UNIONE: The Important Differences

Instead of looking at every specification individually, the comparison can be reduced to five major areas.

Power: ONEO PRO reaches 40W, while UNIONE operates at 15.5W ECO or 17.5W Boost.

Battery: ONEO PRO has a 2,100mAh battery compared with 1,100mAh on UNIONE.

Pod capacity: ONEO PRO uses a 4ml cartridge in the standard configuration, while UNIONE uses a 10ml mega-pod configuration.

Cartridge flexibility: ONEO PRO supports several resistance options across its compatible ONEO cartridge family, while UNIONE uses its dedicated 0.8Ω cartridge system.

Interface: ONEO PRO has a visible full-color TFT screen and more button controls, whereas UNIONE uses a hidden display and simpler two-mode switching.

These differences are more useful for understanding the products than simply saying one is newer or more powerful.

Which OXVA Pod Has the More Distinct Design?

The ONEO PRO and UNIONE are aimed at different priorities, so the most useful comparison depends on what matters to the reader.

ONEO PRO is centered on higher output, a larger battery, more cartridge options and a fuller display interface. Its 40W ceiling and 2,100mAh battery make it the more performance-oriented design on paper.

UNIONE is centered on large pod capacity, simple operation and refill convenience. Its 10ml cartridge architecture is the defining feature, while the 1,100mAh battery and 15.5W/17.5W output keep the platform focused on lower-power operation.

The two therefore solve different problems rather than competing solely on the same specifications. For readers unfamiliar with refillable devices, our guide to how pod vape systems work explains the main components, cartridge types and airflow controls.

Final Thoughts on OXVA ONEO PRO vs UNIONE

OXVA ONEO PRO vs UNIONE comparison comes down to two different interpretations of what a modern refillable pod should prioritize.

ONEO PRO takes the more performance-oriented route with 40W output, a 2,100mAh battery, a 0.96-inch full-color display and multiple compatible cartridge resistances.

UNIONE goes in another direction. Its defining feature is the 10ml mega-pod system, supported by an 1,100mAh battery, 15.5W ECO mode, 17.5W Boost mode, a hidden display and top-fill design.

The result is a useful distinction between the two: ONEO PRO emphasizes control and higher output, while UNIONE emphasizes cartridge capacity and refill convenience.

For an article comparing these two OXVA pod systems, those are the differences worth focusing on because they explain why the products have different hardware instead of simply listing specifications side by side.

Compact smartwatches have an obvious advantage: they are lighter, easier to wear, and generally more comfortable for people with smaller or slimmer wrists. However, reducing the size of a smartwatch also creates challenges. There is less room for the battery, display, sensors, and other internal components.

The takes on that challenge with a compact body, a bright OLED display, a relatively large 590mAh battery, and a range of health-focused features. My first impression was simple: the watch feels surprisingly small and light.

At just 41mm in diameter, 9.9mm thick, and 36g without the strap, the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm is designed for comfortable everyday use. Its 1.32-inch OLED display reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making information easy to read both indoors and outdoors.

Despite its compact dimensions, Xiaomi has managed to fit a 590mAh battery inside the watch. According to Xiaomi’s specifications, it can provide up to 14 days of battery life, while more extensive health monitoring reduces the claimed endurance to around 8 days.

For a small smartwatch, that combination of size and battery capacity is particularly interesting.

Battery life is not the only focus, either. The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm runs HyperOS 4 and includes three temperature sensors, menstrual-cycle tracking, and sun-protection features. Xiaomi has also expanded its health-monitoring functions with features specifically designed around women’s health.

Rather than judging the watch simply by its specification sheet, I wanted to see how it performs during everyday use. That includes wearing it overnight, using it while walking and cycling, and testing its health-related functions.

So, can the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm combine a compact design with the battery life and functionality expected from a modern smartwatch? Let’s take a closer look.

Design and Display

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm comes with a 1.32-inch OLED display capable of reaching 3,000 nits of peak brightness. This high brightness level should make the screen easier to view under strong outdoor lighting.

The black version tested here uses a classic watch-face design that displays information such as moon phases, calories, steps, and battery status. The overall appearance is relatively understated, giving it a more traditional and professional look.

Compared with a 45mm Citizen watch, the smaller 41mm case is noticeably more compact. This size can be particularly suitable for users with slimmer wrists because it does not appear overly large or bulky.

Another interesting feature is the built-in Sunwalk watch face. It dynamically changes its background according to UVA conditions and can display UVA and UVB information. This allows users to check the current UV level directly from their wrist before heading outdoors.

The compact construction also contributes to wearing comfort. At 9.9mm thick and 36g without the strap, the watch feels light on the wrist and is suitable for extended use. Its low weight can also make it more comfortable to wear overnight.

Stainless Steel Construction and Controls

The watch uses a 316L stainless steel frame with a polished finish. The material gives the case a solid feel while maintaining the refined appearance expected from a premium smartwatch.

A rotating crown and physical button are positioned on the side. The crown can be both rotated and pressed, while its textured surface provides additional grip during operation.

A speaker opening sits beneath the controls and is integrated into the side of the case without significantly changing the watch’s appearance.

The crown itself is engraved with “XIAOMI WATCH 41mm,” adding a small design detail that reinforces the watch’s compact identity.

Floating Lugs for a Better Fi

Xiaomi has introduced a new floating lug design inspired by Roman columns. The design creates a more open connection between the strap and the watch case, helping the watch appear lighter visually.

The floating lugs use a dual-axis structure that allows the strap to follow the natural curve of the wrist more closely. In everyday use, this design can help the watch sit more naturally against the wrist.

For a 41mm smartwatch, the fit is particularly important. A smaller case combined with flexible strap movement can make the device feel less restrictive during daily activities and sleep.

Health Sensors and Accessorie

The rear of the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm houses a four-LED, four-PD heart-rate sensor system. Magnetic charging contacts are positioned beneath the sensor module for convenient charging.

The package includes the smartwatch, a matching strap, and a magnetic charging cable.

Overall, Xiaomi has focused on making the Watch S5 41mm compact without stripping away the features expected from a modern smartwatch. Its small case, lightweight construction, bright OLED display, 590mAh battery, and expanded health-monitoring capabilities make it an interesting option for users who prefer smaller wearables.

Women’s Health and Wellness

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm takes a more focused approach to women’s health by combining temperature tracking, menstrual cycle monitoring, exercise guidance, UV exposure information, and diet management. These features are designed to provide useful health-related insights directly from the wrist rather than requiring users to check their phone for every update.

Women’s Health Tracking

Three Temperature Sensors for More Detailed Monitoring

One of the key health features of the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm is its three-sensor temperature monitoring system. Compared with a two-sensor arrangement, the additional sensor provides another measurement point and is designed to detect temperature changes with greater precision. Xiaomi states that the system can detect temperature variations as small as 0.1°C.

The temperature feature is not intended to function simply as a daily body-temperature log. Changes in basal body temperature can occur around different stages of the menstrual cycle, particularly after ovulation. By continuously monitoring temperature trends, the watch can use this information alongside recorded cycle data to provide a reference for menstrual-cycle tracking.

This makes the three-sensor system more useful than simply collecting additional temperature readings. Its data can contribute to the watch’s broader women’s health features and cycle predictions.

Menstrual Cycle Prediction at a Glance

Menstrual cycle tracking is another major feature of the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm. Users can record their cycle information directly through the watch and use the collected data to estimate upcoming menstrual periods and ovulation.

According to Xiaomi, the watch can provide reminders one to three days in advance based on the available cycle information.

The biggest benefit is convenience. Instead of opening a smartphone app whenever you want to check your cycle status, you can view the information directly from your wrist. For users who regularly track their menstrual cycles, having the information available at a glance can make everyday monitoring easier.

The watch also connects menstrual-cycle information with exercise guidance. It can consider factors such as physiological stage, weather conditions, exercise habits, and recovery status when providing recommendations for workout type, duration, and heart-rate intensity.

For example, outdoor exercise recommendations can take changing weather conditions into account, including high temperatures, rain, or snow. This gives the health-tracking system a broader role than simply functioning as a menstrual calendar.

Scientific Sun Protection and UV Tracking

Another notable feature of the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm is its scientific sun protection function. The watch provides separate information about UVA and UVB exposure risks, with updates every three hours.

UVA and UVB affect the skin differently. UVA is more closely associated with long-term effects such as tanning and photoaging, while UVB is a major contributor to sunburn and other forms of UV-related skin damage. Showing the two categories separately can therefore provide more detailed information than relying only on a single overall UV index.

The information can be checked directly from the watch when you’re outdoors. Xiaomi also offers a dedicated sun-walk watch face that changes its visual status according to UVA conditions.

This approach makes UV information easier to access throughout the day. Rather than opening a smartphone weather application before heading outside, users can simply raise their wrist to check the current information.

Diet and Calorie Management

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm also extends its health features to diet management. Users can record meals, snacks, and other food intake while monitoring calories consumed and burned throughout the day.

The feature provides a straightforward way to keep track of daily energy intake and remaining calorie allowance. However, its usefulness depends heavily on maintaining consistent recording habits.

For people who already monitor their diet, being able to enter information directly from a smartwatch can make the process more convenient. Combined with activity and exercise tracking, it provides a broader overview of daily wellness rather than focusing on a single health metric.

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm goes beyond basic fitness tracking by bringing several women’s health and wellness features together in a compact smartwatch. Its three-sensor temperature system, menstrual cycle prediction, exercise recommendations, UVA and UVB monitoring, and diet tracking provide a wider range of everyday health tools.

The main advantage is accessibility: much of this information can be viewed directly from the wrist, reducing the need to constantly switch to a smartphone. For users who actively track their cycle, exercise, diet, and sun exposure, these features make the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm a more comprehensive health-focused wearable.

HyperOS 4 Experience

The 41mm size has always been appealing to users who prefer a compact smartwatch that is comfortable to wear throughout the day. With the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm, Xiaomi focuses on making the smaller form factor more practical through its HyperOS 4 software.

HyperOS 4 introduces several changes to the watch experience, including a new cross-shaped interaction system, Super AI features, interactive pet watch faces, and deeper integration with Xiaomi’s ecosystem.

On a smartwatch, the number of features is not the only thing that matters. Because the display is much smaller than a smartphone, quick access and simple controls are equally important. HyperOS 4 addresses this by making frequently used functions easier to reach.

1. Cross-Shaped Interaction Makes the Small Screen Easier to Use

One of the most noticeable HyperOS 4 changes on the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm is its redesigned interaction system.

The interface places commonly used functions around the four directions of the screen, while the crown and secondary button provide additional controls. This arrangement reduces the number of steps needed to access everyday features.

There is a short learning period because users need to remember which functions are assigned to each direction. Once familiar, however, the system makes navigation considerably more straightforward.

For example, notifications, the control center, and widgets can be accessed with simple swipes. When browsing longer content, rotating the crown is also more comfortable than repeatedly dragging your finger across the small display.

This approach is particularly useful on the 41mm model. A compact smartwatch does not have the same screen space as a larger model, so navigating through several layers of menus can quickly become inconvenient.

By placing frequently used controls within easy reach, HyperOS 4 makes the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm feel better suited to quick, glanceable interactions.

2. Super AI Brings More Voice Controls to the Watch

HyperOS 4 also expands the role of AI on the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm with Super AI features.

Users can press and hold the crown for around two seconds to activate Xiao Ai. From there, the assistant can help with tasks such as searching for information, translating content, starting workouts, checking heart rate, and opening applications.

Voice control is especially useful when tapping through menus would take longer. Instead of navigating several screens, users can simply give a voice command and let the watch handle the requested task.

It is not intended to replace a smartphone, but the feature makes sense on a smartwatch where quick interactions are more important than extensive on-screen controls.

HyperOS 4 also introduces interactive pet watch faces featuring four characters: Dudu the quokka, Mao Mao the Pallas’s cat, Qi Qi the dachshund, and Tuan Tuan the titmouse.

These watch faces are more than static designs. The animals can display different poses and animations depending on factors such as time and activity. Completing the Vitality Ring for five consecutive days can also unlock hidden poses.

There are also stress-themed pet watch faces that change the animal’s appearance and background according to the user’s stress level. Since a watch face is something users see repeatedly throughout the day, these small interactive details add a more playful element to the experience.

3. Xiaomi Ecosystem Integration Adds More Convenience

Beyond its on-watch features, the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm benefits from integration with other devices and services in the Xiaomi ecosystem.

The watch version of WeChat supports several useful functions, including voice-to-text input, marking messages as read or unread, deleting conversations, and clearing the cache. iPhone users can also take advantage of dual-device message notifications and shortcuts.

The integration extends to Xiaomi vehicles as well. When paired with a compatible Xiaomi car, the watch can provide navigation-related information, turn notifications, traffic-light alerts, toll-station notifications, and selected vehicle controls.

For users already invested in Xiaomi’s smartphone or automotive ecosystem, these connected features can make the watch more useful beyond basic notifications, fitness tracking, and timekeeping.

Overall, HyperOS 4 gives the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm a more streamlined software experience. The cross-shaped navigation system is particularly well suited to the compact 41mm display, while Super AI and interactive watch faces add new ways to interact with the device. Combined with Xiaomi’s broader ecosystem integration, the software update makes the smaller Watch S5 a more capable everyday smartwatch.

Verdict

I’ve always found compact smartwatches appealing, especially when they can deliver a full-featured experience without feeling bulky on the wrist. After using the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm for several days, its biggest strength became clear: the smaller size does not come with major compromises.

Lightweight 41mm Design

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm features a compact 41mm case and weighs just 36g without the strap. This lightweight construction makes it comfortable for extended daily use and particularly convenient when wearing it overnight.

During sleep, the watch is less noticeable on the wrist compared with larger and heavier models. For users who prefer a discreet smartwatch that can be worn throughout the day and night, the smaller form factor is a practical advantage.

Internal link opportunity: Link the phrase “compact smartwatch” to your related smartwatch or wearable category/article.

Up to Around 16 Days of Battery Life

Battery endurance is another strong point. The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm packs a 590mAh battery. During my testing, the battery level dropped by roughly 12% over two days of regular use.

Based on this usage pattern, the watch could provide approximately 16 days of battery life on a full charge, depending on settings, exercise tracking, health monitoring, notifications, and other usage habits.

This means most users should not need to worry about charging the watch every day, making it convenient for continuous health and activity tracking.

Full Smartwatch Experience in a Smaller Body

Despite its compact dimensions, the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm does not feel significantly stripped down. Many of the features that matter in everyday use remain available, including HyperOS 4 interaction, sleep tracking, workout monitoring, and health summaries.

This is important because a smaller watch can sometimes mean sacrificing functionality along with screen size. Here, the reduced physical footprint is primarily an advantage in comfort rather than a major limitation in everyday features.

Expanded Women’s Health Features

One of the more notable aspects of the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm is its emphasis on women’s health.

The watch uses three temperature sensors and supports features such as menstrual cycle prediction and exercise recommendations based on the menstrual cycle. It also includes dual-band scientific sun protection features designed to provide additional information for outdoor activities.

Rather than treating women’s health as a separate set of functions, Xiaomi integrates these capabilities into everyday health monitoring and exercise scenarios. This can make the collected data more useful for users who regularly track their health and activities.

Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm vs. 46mm

The choice between the 41mm and 46mm versions largely comes down to size and wearing preferences.

The 41mm model is better suited to users who prioritize a lightweight, compact design and comfortable long-term wear. Meanwhile, the 46mm version may appeal more to those who prefer a larger display and more screen space for viewing information.

For users who want a smaller smartwatch without giving up the core features needed for everyday use, the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm offers a well-balanced combination of comfort, battery endurance, health tracking, and smart functionality.

Lenovo has started teasing YOGA Pro 15 Spark, a new China-market laptop built around NVIDIA’s RTX Spark platform. The company has not yet revealed the full domestic configuration or pricing, but the latest teaser suggests that more details are coming soon.

The new laptop is closely related to Lenovo’s recently announced AI laptop Yoga Pro 9n, which debuted internationally at IFA 2026. Lenovo lists the Yoga Pro 9n as a 15-inch premium creator laptop powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark, while the Chinese-market version is called the YOGA Pro 15 Spark.

YOGA Pro 15 Spark Brings RTX Spark to China

The YOGA Pro 15 Spark has now entered the domestic preheating phase, indicating that Lenovo is preparing to introduce its NVIDIA RTX Spark-powered laptop to the Chinese market.

Rather than relying on a conventional Intel or AMD processor paired with a separate graphics card, the RTX Spark platform combines a Grace CPU and Blackwell RTX GPU into a single superchip. Lenovo says the platform is designed for demanding local AI workloads, content creation and software development.

This architecture is one of the most notable aspects of the new Yoga laptop because the CPU and GPU can share a large pool of unified memory. That design is particularly relevant to AI applications that require substantial memory capacity.

NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X Targets Local AI Workloads

The RTX Spark N1X platform used by Lenovo’s announced systems can integrate a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU with a Blackwell RTX GPU containing up to 6,144 CUDA cores. The platform can also support up to 128GB of unified memory and deliver up to 1 PFLOPS of AI performance at FP4 precision, according to Lenovo’s China-market information.

For users, the significance goes beyond raw specifications. Large unified memory capacity can allow the CPU and GPU to access the same memory pool, making the architecture particularly suited to running demanding AI models locally rather than depending entirely on cloud processing.

NVIDIA has also described RTX Spark PCs as Windows-on-Arm systems, with the first machines scheduled to arrive in October 2026.

The International Yoga Pro 9n Already Has a 15.3-Inch OLED Display

Lenovo’s international Yoga Pro 9n provides an indication of what to expect from the China-market YOGA Pro 15 Spark.

The Yoga Pro 9n features a 15.3-inch 2.5K OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It can also be configured with up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 4TB of storage. Lenovo positions the machine toward creators and developers who need high local computing performance.

The laptop also uses an aluminum chassis and measures as little as 16.7mm thick, while its cooling architecture supports an 80W TDP configuration.

However, Lenovo has not yet confirmed whether every specification of the international Yoga Pro 9n will carry over unchanged to the Chinese YOGA Pro 15 Spark.

More Details Expected Soon

At this stage, Lenovo has confirmed the domestic preheating of the YOGA Pro 15 Spark, but key details such as its Chinese pricing, exact configuration and retail launch date have not yet been announced.

The new model could become an interesting option for users looking for a relatively portable laptop capable of handling local AI workloads, creative applications and GPU-accelerated tasks.

For now, the main takeaway is clear: Lenovo is bringing its RTX Spark N1X-powered Yoga platform to the Chinese market, with the YOGA Pro 15 Spark expected to receive more official details in the near future.

Nordic Spirit has partnered with Co-op Live, one of the UK’s major entertainment venues, in a move that puts a nicotine pouch presence in the UK inside a high-profile live entertainment environment.

The partnership is particularly notable because the UK’s rules governing the advertising and sponsorship of nicotine products are about to change significantly. The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 introduces a much broader framework covering the promotion and sponsorship of vaping and nicotine products, with the government intending the new advertising and sponsorship restrictions to take effect on June 1, 2027.

That makes the timing of the Nordic Spirit and Co-op Live deal more interesting than a conventional venue partnership. It arrives during a period when nicotine brands are still able to operate within the existing rules, while preparing for a substantially more restrictive marketing environment.

What Is the Nordic Spirit and Co-op Live Partnership?

Nordic Spirit, a nicotine pouch brand, has entered into a partnership with Co-op Live that gives the brand a presence at the Manchester entertainment venue.

Rather than being simply a retail arrangement, the partnership places Nordic Spirit within an entertainment setting where brand visibility and audience engagement are important parts of the commercial relationship.

For Nordic Spirit, the deal provides another way to establish brand awareness among adult nicotine consumers . For Co-op Live, the agreement represents a commercial partnership with a nicotine brand during a period of significant regulatory change across the UK nicotine market.

The timing is therefore an important part of the story.

Why the Timing Matters

The UK nicotine market is approaching a major change in how products can be promoted.

The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 extends advertising and sponsorship restrictions to nicotine products as well as vaping products. The government’s Department of Health and Social Care says it intends the comprehensive advertising and sponsorship ban to begin on June 1, 2027.

The legislation goes beyond traditional advertising. Section 131 covers sponsorship agreements involving vaping products and nicotine products where contributions are made under an agreement and activities resulting from that agreement promote those products in the UK.

This is important because sponsorship is different from placing a conventional advertisement in a newspaper or on a website.

A sponsorship arrangement can connect a brand with a venue, event, sports organisation or other public-facing activity. Under the new framework, those relationships can therefore become subject to much greater scrutiny when they promote a nicotine product.

What Changes Under the Tobacco and Vapes Act?

The new law represents a substantial expansion of the UK’s approach to nicotine marketing.

The government says the future restrictions will cover advertising, promotion and sponsorship involving vaping and nicotine products. They are intended to apply across the UK.

The legislation also makes clear that sponsorship restrictions can apply when a sponsorship agreement results in activities intended to promote a vaping or nicotine product.

That distinction matters for businesses because the question is not simply whether a company has purchased a conventional advertisement.

The wider issue is whether a commercial arrangement results in promotional activity for a product that falls within the scope of the legislation.

Does the New Law Automatically Make the Co-op Live Deal Illegal?

Not necessarily.

This is an important distinction that should not be overlooked.

The government has stated that it intends the comprehensive advertising and sponsorship restrictions to come into force from June 1, 2027. However, the explanatory notes to the legislation state that the commencement of Section 131 is to be specified by regulations.

That means it would be inaccurate to conclude simply that the existing Nordic Spirit and Co-op Live partnership is already prohibited.

Instead, the more useful question is how the arrangement will be treated as the new rules take effect and whether any existing contractual or promotional activity needs to change.

The final practical impact will depend on the commencement regulations, implementation details and guidance available to businesses.

Why Venue Partnerships Are Becoming More Important to Watch

The Nordic Spirit deal illustrates a broader issue in the nicotine industry.

For years, brands have used different forms of visibility to establish consumer awareness, including retail presence, digital communication, events and sponsorships.

The upcoming UK restrictions could significantly reduce the number of channels available for commercial promotion.

That makes existing partnerships particularly interesting.

A venue partnership can involve more than a logo on a wall. Depending on the agreement, it may include branded areas, promotional material, digital exposure, event-related activity or other forms of brand association.

Under a regulatory framework that specifically addresses sponsorship and promotion, businesses will need to assess those elements individually rather than treating the entire arrangement as a simple advertising purchase.

Nicotine Pouches Face a Different Regulatory Landscape

Nicotine pouches have also become increasingly visible in the UK nicotine market.

Unlike traditional tobacco products, nicotine pouches do not contain tobacco. However, the Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 specifically brings nicotine products within the broader advertising and sponsorship framework. The government’s explanatory notes describe the new rules as extending advertising, promotion and sponsorship restrictions to nicotine products as well as vape aerosol products.

This is a significant development for pouch brands.

It means that the industry’s marketing environment cannot be assessed only by looking at traditional tobacco regulations. Companies selling nicotine pouches will also need to consider the new restrictions that apply specifically to nicotine products.

The government has also announced separate changes affecting the sale and promotion of vaping and nicotine products. From October 29, 2026, new age-of-sale and related restrictions will apply, including restrictions on free distribution intended to promote vaping or nicotine products.

What This Could Mean for Future Brand Partnerships

The Nordic Spirit and Co-op Live agreement may become a useful example of the transition taking place in the UK nicotine market.

For brands, the challenge will not simply be finding another advertising channel. Companies will need to reconsider how they build awareness when conventional promotional and sponsorship opportunities become more restricted.

For venues and commercial partners, the issue is equally important.

A partnership involving a nicotine company may require closer review of branding, promotional activity, event integration and contractual obligations. The regulatory question may extend beyond the presence of a brand name to what consumers actually see or experience as a result of the commercial relationship.

That could make compliance more complicated than simply removing an advertisement.

What Consumers Should Take From the Partnership

For adult consumers, the most relevant point is that the nicotine pouch market is entering a period of significant regulatory transition.

The Nordic Spirit and Co-op Live partnership itself is only one commercial arrangement. Its wider significance comes from the timing: it demonstrates how nicotine brands are continuing to explore mainstream commercial partnerships while the UK is preparing to impose broader restrictions on advertising and sponsorship.

The government says the future restrictions are designed to reduce the promotion of nicotine and vaping products, particularly in the context of protecting younger people from exposure to marketing.

As implementation approaches, businesses will need to understand not only what products they can sell, but also how those products can legally be promoted.

Final Thoughts

The Nordic Spirit and Co-op Live partnership is noteworthy because it sits directly within a changing UK nicotine marketing landscape.

The agreement does not, by itself, mean that the partnership is already prohibited. Instead, it highlights the transition from today’s rules toward a system in which advertising and sponsorship of nicotine products are expected to face much tighter restrictions.

The UK’s Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 provides the legal framework for that change, while the government currently intends the wider advertising and sponsorship restrictions to take effect on June 1, 2027.

For nicotine brands, venues and other commercial partners, the key issue over the coming months will be understanding exactly how existing and future agreements fit within the new rules.

That makes the Nordic Spirit and Co-op Live partnership worth watching—not simply as a brand deal, but as an example of how the UK nicotine industry’s approach to marketing may change before the new restrictions take effect.

Russia has officially entered the first stage of its mandatory digital labeling system for reusable electronic cigarette devices, marking a major shift from the country’s previous voluntary tracking program.

Under the implementation schedule published by Russia’s national product identification system, Chestny ZNAK, manufacturers, importers and other businesses handling covered products must register with the digital labeling system from September 1, 2026.

Russia’s latest move adds another layer to its evolving vape regulation and nicotine-product compliance framework, particularly for manufacturers and importers selling reusable devices in the country.

The next major deadline comes on December 1, 2026, when newly manufactured or imported products covered by the rules will be required to carry digital identification codes and be reported as entering the Russian market.

The phased approach means September is primarily a registration and system-integration milestone rather than the date when every covered device must immediately carry a code.

September Registration Comes Before Mandatory Product Coding

The new requirements apply to reusable electronic cigarettes and similar personal vaporizing devices that have been brought into Russia’s digital product-tracking framework.

From September 1, manufacturers, importers and other relevant market participants are required to complete registration with Chestny ZNAK and establish the necessary technical connection to the system.

Starting December 1, newly produced and newly imported covered devices will need to receive the required digital identification marks. Businesses will also have to submit information confirming that the products have entered circulation.

This distinction is important for companies preparing for the new rules. The September deadline begins the mandatory registration phase, while the December deadline introduces the main product-labeling requirement.

New Guidance Targets Importers of Foreign-Made Devices

As the mandatory registration stage began, Chestny ZNAK also published operational guidance covering products manufactured outside Russia.

Under the process, the importer becomes the first owner of the goods after they enter the Russian market and is responsible for completing the relevant registration and contractual procedures.

Importers must also coordinate product information, identification codes and market-entry data through the digital system.

For overseas manufacturers and their Russian distribution partners, the immediate priority is therefore to make sure their accounts, product records and import procedures are ready before the December labeling deadline.

Digital Tracking Will Continue Into 2027

Russia’s labeling system does not end once identification codes are applied to products.

The current implementation schedule extends the reporting requirements into 2027. From June 1, 2027, reporting obligations for products moving through the supply chain are scheduled to become more extensive.

A further milestone is planned for December 1, 2027, when information concerning products leaving circulation will also become subject to mandatory reporting.

The rules also provide transitional arrangements for certain products manufactured or imported before December 1, 2026. Some imported products purchased before that date but cleared through customs afterward may also qualify for a limited period in which the required labeling can be completed.

As a result, the policy should be viewed as a broader digital traceability system, rather than simply a requirement to place a code on an individual package.

From Voluntary Testing to Mandatory Compliance

The latest requirements follow an earlier voluntary labeling experiment.

Russia began testing digital identification for reusable electronic cigarettes and similar devices in July 2025. The voluntary phase gave manufacturers, importers and other businesses an opportunity to connect their operations with the Chestny ZNAK system and test the required data flows.

Regulators subsequently worked on a mandatory implementation timetable while allowing additional preparation time for businesses and technology providers.

In May 2026, the Russian government approved Resolution No. 577, establishing the framework for bringing the relevant electronic cigarette devices into the mandatory labeling system.

The result is a phased schedule: registration in September 2026, mandatory product coding from December 2026, followed by expanded circulation and end-of-life reporting in 2027.

The New Rules Focus on Device Hardware

One important point is that the September and December requirements should not be interpreted as meaning that every electronic cigarette or nicotine product in Russia suddenly became subject to the same labeling requirement.

The latest expansion specifically targets reusable electronic cigarette devices and similar personal vaporizing hardware.

Russia has already introduced separate identification and tracking requirements covering certain tobacco, e-liquid and nicotine-related products. The latest measure expands the country’s digital traceability framework to another part of the supply chain: the hardware itself.

This creates a more comprehensive regulatory structure in which different tobacco and nicotine-related products can be tracked through Russia’s national digital identification infrastructure.

What the New System Means for Vape Businesses

For manufacturers and importers, the practical impact goes beyond obtaining a digital code.

Companies selling covered reusable vape devices in Russia will need to consider digital registration, product information, identification-code management, import declarations and supply-chain reporting as part of their market-entry procedures.

For overseas companies entering the Russian market, understanding electronic cigarette import requirements is becoming increasingly important as digital labeling and supply-chain reporting expand.

The December deadline is therefore likely to be particularly important for overseas manufacturers and Russian importers that regularly bring reusable vaping hardware into the country.

Russia is also tightening oversight in other areas of the tobacco and nicotine market, including online sales, minimum pricing and product circulation. The expansion of digital labeling adds another layer of compliance for companies operating in the market.

Russia’s Vape Labeling Timeline at a Glance

What Comes Next

Russia’s move toward mandatory digital identification represents a significant change for the reusable vape-device supply chain.

The immediate focus for businesses is the December 1, 2026 deadline, but compliance planning will need to account for the subsequent 2027 reporting stages as well.

For international manufacturers, Russian importers and distributors, preparing product data and digital-system access ahead of the deadlines could become an important part of maintaining uninterrupted market access.

The broader direction is clear: Russia is moving from a voluntary labeling experiment toward a full digital traceability framework for reusable electronic cigarette devices, covering registration, import and production, circulation and ultimately the removal of products from the market.

Listed as a 2.4GHz 2WD model, the Q246 features an alloy body, LED lights and an automatic demonstration mode. Its compact 1/64 scale makes it particularly interesting for people who want an RC vehicle that can be played with indoors or kept on a desk when it is not being driven.

Why a 1/64 RC Car Is Interesting

The biggest attraction of the Q246 is its size. The Q246 belongs to a growing category of mini RC cars that make remote-controlled driving possible in smaller indoor spaces.

A 1/64 RC vehicle occupies dramatically less space than the larger 1/10 or 1/12 models commonly associated with the hobby. That changes how the car can be used. Instead of needing a driveway, backyard or dedicated track, a miniature RC car can be much easier to operate around a home, office or tabletop environment.

That does not mean the Q246 should be treated like a full-size crawler. Its compact format is better suited to short-distance driving, obstacle play and casual maneuvering than extreme terrain.

For beginners, however, that smaller scale can make the hobby feel less intimidating.

Military-Inspired Styling Meets a Metal Body

The Q246 combines a military-style off-road appearance with an alloy body, giving the little vehicle a more substantial visual character than a basic plastic toy.

At 1/64 scale, small design details become an important part of the experience. The proportions, body shape and lighting help the Q246 look more like a miniature vehicle model while the remote-control system turns it into something that can actually be driven.

This dual role is one of the more appealing aspects of the car. It can function as a small RC vehicle during play and as a display piece when parked on a desk or shelf.

2.4GHz Control Is a Practical Choice for a Mini RC Car

The Q246 uses a 2.4GHz radio-control system, a common wireless platform for modern RC vehicles. The frequency is particularly useful for a small car intended for casual indoor and outdoor driving because it avoids the limitations associated with older-style infrared control.

The important point for potential buyers is that the Q246 is designed around conventional remote driving rather than requiring a smartphone as its primary interface.

That makes the experience straightforward: pick up the controller, switch on the vehicle and start driving.

2WD Keeps the Q246 Focused on Casual Driving

The Q246 uses a 2WD drivetrain rather than four-wheel drive.

That specification matters when setting expectations.

Four-wheel-drive RC cars generally have an advantage when climbing difficult surfaces or dealing with loose terrain. A 2WD mini RC car, by comparison, makes more sense when the emphasis is on maneuverability, simple driving and compact construction.

For the Q246, this is arguably an appropriate match for its 1/64 format. The vehicle is small enough that its intended environment can include desktops, floors and relatively simple surfaces rather than demanding rock-crawling trails.

In other words, the Q246 is better understood as a mini off-road-style RC car than a serious miniature crawler.

Automatic Demo Mode Adds More Than Just a Gimmick

One of the Q246’s less conventional features is its automatic demonstration mode.

This allows the car to perform programmed movements without requiring continuous manual control.

For beginners, a demo function can be an easy way to see what the vehicle can do before learning its controls. It can also make the Q246 more entertaining when the car is being used as a casual desktop toy rather than for precise driving.

This is a small feature, but it gives the vehicle a little more personality than a basic forward-and-reverse RC model.

LED Lighting Makes the Miniature Design More Noticeable

The Q246 also includes LED lighting, another feature that works particularly well at this scale.

On a larger RC truck, lights can primarily serve a practical purpose. On a miniature 1/64 vehicle, they also contribute heavily to the visual appeal.

The lights make the car easier to notice in lower-light environments and reinforce its miniature military-vehicle appearance. For collectors who like displaying RC models, lighting can also make the vehicle more interesting when it is sitting on a desk rather than being driven.

Built for Portability Rather Than Extreme Performance

The Q246’s small scale changes the definition of convenience.

A large RC truck can be impressive, but transporting it usually means carrying a dedicated case or simply making sure there is enough room in a vehicle. A 1/64 model is much easier to move between locations.

That makes the Q246 suitable for users who want to keep an RC car available without committing a large amount of storage space to the hobby.

It could work particularly well as a desktop RC car, a compact gift, or an entry point for someone who is curious about remote-controlled vehicles but does not yet want a larger model.

What the Q246 Is — and Is Not

The Q246 is most appealing when its strengths are considered in context. For readers interested in more demanding terrain, larger off-road RC vehicles generally provide greater ground clearance, traction and suspension travel than a 1/64 model.

It is a good fit for:

Casual indoor RC driving

Desktop and tabletop use

Beginners exploring the RC hobby

Military-style miniature vehicle collectors

Users who want a portable RC car

Light off-road-style play

People who enjoy LED-equipped models

It is less suitable for:

Serious rock crawling

High-speed RC racing

Large outdoor obstacles

Users specifically looking for 4WD traction

Advanced hobbyists seeking highly adjustable suspension or proportional controls

That distinction is important. A miniature 2WD vehicle should not be judged by the same standards as a high-performance 4WD crawler.

The core specifications above are based on the product listing; the Banggood page currently shows the Q246 with no customer reviews yet, so long-term durability and real-world driving performance should not be treated as independently verified.

Is the Q246 Worth Considering?

The Q246’s appeal comes from its combination of small size and genuine RC functionality.

It does not attempt to compete with large hobby-grade vehicles on speed, suspension travel or off-road capability. Instead, it offers something considerably easier to live with: a miniature vehicle that takes up very little space but still provides the basic interaction of an RC car.

The alloy body, military-inspired appearance and LED lighting also give it a stronger identity than a generic micro RC toy.

For someone buying their first RC car, the Q246 could be an accessible way to experiment with the hobby. For an experienced collector, its 1/64 scale makes it an interesting addition to a miniature vehicle collection.

Final Verdict

Its 2.4GHz control, 2WD drivetrain, alloy construction, LED lighting and automatic demo mode create a feature set aimed at casual driving and display value.

The real advantage is its size. The Q246 can bring the basic fun of an RC car into spaces where a larger model simply would not be practical.

For buyers who prioritize portability, miniature styling and easy everyday play over outright performance, this tiny military-style RC car offers a distinctly different take on the traditional remote-controlled vehicle.
