Early buyers can also receive a Xiaomi Focus Touch Pen Pro, valued at 599 yuan, together with a 6A dual USB-C high-speed braided cable, valued at 39 yuan.

13.3-Inch Display and Slim 645g Body

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max features a 13.3-inch display, giving it considerably more screen space than conventional compact tablets.

Despite the large panel and high-capacity battery, the tablet measures just 5.67mm thick and weighs approximately 645 grams.

The combination of a large display and relatively thin body is intended to make the device suitable for both desk-based productivity and mobile use.

Xuanji O3 Chip Targets Desktop-Class Performance

One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is its processor. The tablet is the first Xiaomi tablet to feature the company’s Xuanji O3 chip, which Xiaomi positions as its most powerful in-house platform for high-end Android devices.

According to Xiaomi, the tablet achieves a claimed 5.61 million points in benchmark testing. The company also compares its performance with Apple’s M5 desktop platform and says the device is capable of running professional PC-class applications smoothly.

This performance focus makes the Pad 9 Pro Max more than a conventional media tablet. Xiaomi is targeting users who want to edit documents, work with professional software and handle demanding multitasking without carrying a traditional laptop.

Built for PC-Style Productivity

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max supports a more desktop-oriented workflow, including keyboard, mouse and touch input.

The tablet also comes with optimized PC-style editing capabilities and support for WPS 365, giving users access to a broader range of office and productivity tools.

Xiaomi has also incorporated enhanced AI functions into the device. These features are designed to assist with everyday work while taking advantage of the processing power offered by the Xuanji O3 platform.

For users who regularly work with documents, presentations or spreadsheets, the combination of a large display and desktop-style controls could make the Pad 9 Pro Max a more practical laptop alternative.

Use the Tablet as an External Monitor

Another interesting feature is its support for professional DisplayPort input.

When connected through a full-featured USB-C cable, the tablet can accept an external video signal at up to 3.4K resolution and 120Hz. This allows the Pad 9 Pro Max to function as an external monitor for compatible devices.

The feature could be particularly useful for people who travel frequently. Instead of carrying a separate portable monitor, users can potentially use the tablet’s high-resolution display as an additional screen.

Turn the Pad 9 Pro Max Into a Laptop-Style Second Screen

Xiaomi also demonstrates the tablet working alongside a notebook computer.

Once connected, the Pad 9 Pro Max can serve as an additional 3.4K high-resolution display. For example, a user could keep a document or presentation on the laptop’s primary screen while using the tablet to display reference material.

This setup can reduce the need to repeatedly switch between application windows and could be useful for writing, research, editing and other multitasking-heavy workflows.

A Large Gaming Display for Handheld Consoles

The tablet isn’t limited to productivity.

When paired with a compatible gaming handheld, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max can serve as a large-screen gaming display. This gives portable-console users a way to enjoy their games on a much larger screen while taking advantage of the tablet’s display and audio capabilities.

For travelers, the combination of a handheld console and the Pad 9 Pro Max could provide a more immersive gaming setup without requiring a dedicated monitor.

32MP Front Camera and 50MP Rear Camera

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max also features a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera.

The high-resolution front camera is particularly relevant for video calls and remote meetings, while the rear camera can be used for document scanning, photography and general tablet photography.

12,000mAh Battery for Long Sessions

Powering the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is a substantial 12,000mAh battery.

The large battery capacity complements the tablet’s productivity-oriented design, particularly for users who intend to spend extended periods working away from a power outlet.

Combined with the slim 5.67mm body, the battery capacity is one of the more notable aspects of the tablet’s hardware configuration.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max Is More Than a Traditional Android Tablet

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is clearly designed to compete beyond the conventional Android tablet category. Its 13.3-inch display also supports DisplayPort input, allowing the tablet to receive video signals from another device at up to 3.4K resolution and 120Hz.

More importantly, features such as 3.4K/120Hz DisplayPort input, multi-device connectivity, keyboard and mouse support, PC-style applications and large-screen multitasking expand what the tablet can do.

With a starting price of 4,299 yuan after China’s national subsidy, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max targets users who want a larger, more capable Android tablet without giving up portability. Its combination of a spacious display and productivity-focused features makes it suitable for tasks that traditionally require a laptop or external portable monitor.

CHUWI has unveiled the UniBox AI495 Pro, a compact AI workstation designed for demanding local AI workloads, at IFA Berlin 2026. The new mini PC pairs AMD’s high-end Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 processor, also known as the Gorgon Halo platform, with up to 192GB of unified memory and a Radeon 8065S integrated GPU.

The combination is aimed at users who want to run large language models locally rather than relying entirely on cloud-based AI services. According to CHUWI, the UniBox AI495 Pro can handle local LLMs with up to 300 billion parameters using 4-bit quantization, putting it among the more ambitious compact AI workstation designs currently being introduced.

Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 Powers the UniBox AI495 Pro

The main highlight of the CHUWI UniBox AI495 Pro is its AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 processor. The chip uses AMD’s Zen 5 architecture and features 16 CPU cores and 32 threads, with a maximum boost clock of up to 5.2GHz.

The processor is paired with AMD Radeon 8065S graphics based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. The integrated GPU provides 40 graphics cores and a maximum graphics frequency of 3,000MHz.

For AI workloads, CHUWI lists up to 131 TOPS of overall platform AI performance, including up to 55 TOPS from the XDNA 2 NPU. This also makes the system suitable for Copilot+ PC-class AI applications and other workloads that can take advantage of dedicated neural processing.

Up to 192GB of Unified Memory

Memory capacity is another major feature of the UniBox AI495 Pro.

The system can be configured with up to 192GB of LPDDR5x-8533 unified memory using a 256-bit memory interface. CHUWI lists memory bandwidth of up to 273GB/s, while as much as 160GB can be allocated as VRAM for graphics and AI workloads.

This large shared memory pool is particularly important for local AI applications. Instead of being limited by the relatively small VRAM capacity found on many conventional graphics cards, compatible AI workloads can access a much larger portion of system memory.

CHUWI says this configuration enables the UniBox AI495 Pro to run 300B-parameter local LLMs at 4-bit quantization, although actual performance will vary depending on the model, quantization method, software stack and workload.

Compact 2.9-Liter AI Workstation

Despite its hardware capabilities, the UniBox AI495 Pro maintains a relatively compact form factor.

The mini workstation measures 209.6 × 209.6 × 67mm and has a volume of approximately 2.9 liters. CHUWI also gives the system an X-Frame-inspired exterior design that distinguishes it from more conventional mini PCs.

The small chassis could make the UniBox AI495 Pro an interesting option for developers, researchers and power users who need substantial local computing capability without moving to a full-size desktop workstation.

Radeon 8065S Graphics for Gaming and AI

The integrated Radeon 8065S GPU uses AMD’s RDNA 3.5 graphics architecture and features 40 graphics cores.

CHUWI positions the GPU as capable of delivering smooth 1080p gaming performance in demanding titles. The company also states that the graphics solution can outperform an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 in certain workloads, although such comparisons should be treated carefully because real-world results depend heavily on the game, power limits, memory configuration and testing conditions.

More importantly for the UniBox AI495 Pro, the GPU can share the system’s large unified memory pool. This gives AI applications considerably more memory headroom than typical integrated graphics solutions.

Designed for Large Local AI Models

Local AI is one of the main reasons the UniBox AI495 Pro stands out.

CHUWI says the system can run models containing up to 300 billion parameters when using 4-bit quantization. Large models normally require substantial memory capacity, making the 192GB configuration particularly relevant for developers experimenting with local inference.

The system could therefore appeal to AI developers working with large language models, coding assistants, private AI tools and other applications where keeping data on the local machine is preferred.

However, parameter capacity should not be confused with inference speed. A system may be able to load a large model into memory while still delivering relatively modest token-generation performance depending on the model architecture and software optimization.

Fast Connectivity and Expansion

The UniBox AI495 Pro also provides a broad selection of connectivity options for a workstation of this size.

The system includes dual 10Gbps Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. For high-speed external devices, it features two USB4 ports supporting speeds of up to 40Gbps, along with an OCuLink interface.

Storage is handled through three M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 ×4 slots, with CHUWI listing up to a 2TB SSD configuration. This gives users room to expand local storage for large AI models, datasets, applications and games.

A 240W power adapter is included, with the system rated for a 20V/12A input.

CHUWI UniBox AI495 Pro vs. UniBox AI395

CHUWI is also introducing the UniBox AI395, giving the series a second option based on AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 platform.

The AI495 Pro uses the Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 with a 5.2GHz boost clock, while the AI395 uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with a maximum boost clock of 5.1GHz.

*CHUWI’s stated figures depend on model architecture, quantization and software configuration.

Pricing and Availability

CHUWI has not yet announced the official UniBox AI495 Pro price or retail availability. The company says pricing and availability details will be revealed at a later date.

With its combination of the Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495, Radeon 8065S graphics and up to 192GB of unified memory, the UniBox AI495 Pro is clearly targeting users who need more local AI capacity than a typical mini PC can provide.

The most interesting aspect is not simply its compact size, but the amount of memory available to AI workloads. If CHUWI can deliver competitive real-world performance while maintaining reasonable power consumption and pricing, the UniBox AI495 Pro could become an appealing alternative to larger desktop workstations for local AI development and experimentation.

For now, however, the final price, detailed performance benchmarks and retail availability will be key factors in determining how competitive this new CHUWI AI mini workstation will be.

iQOO is reportedly preparing a new compact flagship tablet called the iQOO Pad Ultra, iQOO tablets. According to information shared by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming tablet will target users who want a smaller screen without giving up high-end performance.

The iQOO Pad Ultra is said to feature an 8.8-inch OLED display tablet, a powerful next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, active cooling, and a large battery. These specifications suggest that iQOO is positioning the device toward gaming and other demanding workloads rather than as a basic entertainment tablet.

iQOO Pad Ultra Could Feature an 8.8-Inch OLED Screen

The reported iQOO Pad Ultra is expected to use an 8.8-inch OLED display, making it noticeably more compact than many current flagship tablets.

The screen is said to feature a centered punch-hole camera and extremely narrow bezels on all four sides. This design could provide a higher screen-to-body ratio while keeping the tablet relatively easy to hold during gaming or media consumption.

At the rear, the device reportedly adopts a square-shaped camera module, while an additional air outlet points to the presence of an integrated active cooling system.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6 Could Power the Tablet

Performance is expected to be one of the main selling points of the iQOO Pad Ultra.

According to the leak, the tablet could become one of the first devices to use Qualcomm’s 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6 processor. If confirmed, this would place the compact tablet firmly in the flagship performance category.

The combination of a high-end mobile platform and an active cooling fan could make the iQOO Pad Ultra particularly interesting for gaming. Sustained cooling can help a powerful chipset maintain performance during longer gaming sessions and other intensive tasks.

However, the processor name, manufacturing process, and final specifications have not yet been officially confirmed by iQOO, so these details should currently be treated as leaked information.

Large Battery and Active Cooling

The compact form factor does not appear to mean a small battery.

The iQOO Pad Ultra is reportedly equipped with a 9,000mAh-class battery, which would give the tablet a substantial power reserve for gaming, video playback, browsing, and other daily tasks.

An active cooling fan is also reportedly built into the device. This is particularly notable for an 8.8-inch tablet because the smaller chassis may have less room for conventional passive cooling hardware.

Together, the large battery and active cooling system suggest that iQOO is focusing on sustained performance rather than simply chasing a thin and lightweight design.

66W Fast Charging Also Reported

A previously certified vivo tablet carrying the model number iPA2691 is believed to be connected to the upcoming iQOO compact flagship tablet.

Another tipster, Experience More, reportedly claimed that the device will support 66W fast charging. While the relationship between the certified model and the final retail product still needs official confirmation, the charging specification would complement the tablet’s large battery.

If the 9,000mAh-class battery and 66W charging combination are both confirmed, the iQOO Pad Ultra could offer a useful balance between endurance and charging speed.

Two Color Options Reportedly Planned

The iQOO Pad Ultra is expected to arrive in at least two color options:

Endless Black

Star Armor Silver

The darker finish would fit the tablet’s gaming-oriented positioning, while the silver version could appeal to users looking for a more understated flagship design.

The reported square camera Deco and cooling vent should also give the tablet a distinctive appearance compared with conventional productivity-focused tablets.

iQOO Pad Ultra Could Target Gaming Users

Based on the currently leaked specifications, the iQOO Pad Ultra appears to be designed around a specific combination: compact size, flagship performance, active cooling, and long battery life.

An 8.8-inch OLED display could make the tablet easier to handle than larger 11- or 12-inch models, particularly for gaming. At the same time, the reported Snapdragon flagship chipset and cooling fan could provide the processing power needed for demanding games and applications.

This approach would also allow iQOO to differentiate the Pad Ultra from larger tablets that prioritize productivity and multitasking.

Launch Details Remain Unconfirmed

The iQOO Pad Ultra has not yet received a complete official specification sheet or launch date from iQOO. Most of the information currently available comes from Chinese industry tipsters and certification-related reports.

If the leaked specifications prove accurate, the tablet could become an interesting option for users who want flagship-level performance in a smaller tablet format. Its 8.8-inch OLED screen, reported Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6 chip, active cooling fan, and 9,000mAh-class battery would give it a clear performance-oriented identity.

More details about the iQOO Pad Ultra, including its final specifications, pricing, launch date, and availability, are expected to emerge closer to the official announcement.

Xplora Go Pad has reportedly appeared in an early leak ahead of its official launch, giving us a first look at a tablet designed specifically for children and family use. The device is believed to be produced by HMD Global for Norwegian brand Xplora, with its focus extending beyond basic tablet functions to include education, parental supervision, and safer access to online content.

According to information shared by tipster smashx_60, the Xplora Go Pad could arrive with hardware that is relatively modest by 2026 standards. The tablet is reportedly powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 mobile platform chipset and is designed primarily for controlled educational and family use rather than high-end performance.

8.7-Inch Display and Rugged Design

The leaked Xplora Go Pad is expected to feature an 8.7-inch IPS LCD display, giving it a compact form factor that should be easier for younger users to handle than larger tablets.

Durability also appears to be an important part of the design. The device is reportedly rated IP65, offering protection against dust and water exposure. It is also said to be capable of surviving a drop from a height of up to 1 meter, which could be useful for a tablet intended for children.

Charging support is reportedly limited to 18W, suggesting that the Go Pad is positioned as an affordable and practical family device rather than a performance-focused tablet.

Snapdragon 685 Provides the Processing Power

Under the hood, the Xplora Go Pad is rumored to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 mobile platform. The chip is manufactured using a 6nm process and features an octa-core CPU configuration consisting of four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores.

The chipset also supports 4G LTE connectivity, rather than 5G. While the Snapdragon 685 is not a new platform, its combination of relatively low power consumption and integrated cellular connectivity could make sense for an affordable children’s tablet.

For everyday activities such as educational applications, video playback, web browsing, communication, and parental-management software, the hardware may be sufficient. However, users should not expect the Go Pad to compete with modern high-performance tablets in gaming or demanding multitasking.

Built Around Parental Controls

Hardware is only part of the Xplora Go Pad’s appeal. The tablet reportedly comes with several software features designed specifically for children and their parents.

These reportedly include:

Adult-content filtering

Parental controls

Educational AI features

Internet access management

Screen and usage restrictions

Family-oriented safety features

These tools could allow parents to have greater control over what their children can access online while still giving them access to educational content and selected digital services.

This approach fits closely with Xplora’s existing focus on connected products designed for children and families.

HMD Global and Xplora Continue Their Partnership

The Xplora Go Pad is reportedly another result of the collaboration between HMD Global and Xplora. The two companies have previously worked together on the Xplora Fusion X1 smartphone, a device built around children’s safety and family management.

The Fusion X1 platform allows parents to manage internet and social-media access, control who their children can communicate with, establish approved contacts, limit screen time, and use location-tracking features.

With the Go Pad, the same general philosophy could be expanded from smartphones into the tablet category. Instead of simply providing a conventional Android tablet, Xplora appears to be targeting families that want stronger controls over how younger users interact with connected devices.

Xplora Go Pad Release Date and Price

At this stage, the Xplora Go Pad remains an unconfirmed product. Neither Xplora nor HMD Global has officially announced the tablet or confirmed the leaked specifications.

Pricing, availability, launch markets, RAM and storage configurations, camera specifications, battery capacity, operating system version, and other detailed specifications have yet to be revealed.

If these leaked specifications prove accurate, the Xplora Go Pad could target families looking for a practical tablet that prioritizes child protection and parental supervision over high-end performance. Its combination of 4G connectivity, a compact display, rugged construction, and built-in safety tools could give it a distinct position in the children’s tablet market.

However, key details about the Xplora Go Pad remain unknown. The company has yet to confirm its launch date, pricing, availability, or complete hardware specifications. Until Xplora or HMD Global makes an official announcement, the leaked information should be viewed as an early indication of the tablet rather than its final specifications.

Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe has officially debuted at IFA 2026 as a new mainstream laptop series available in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes. Starting at $699, the lineup is designed for students, families, and everyday users. Lenovo plans to launch the AMD Ryzen AI 400 models in October, with Snapdragon X versions following in November, while Intel configurations are expected to arrive later.

The IdeaPad Vibe stands out with a strong focus on personalization. Lenovo is offering the laptop in seven Pantone-inspired colors: Dreamy Violet, Spicy Gold, Zen Green, Chill Blue, Radiant Coral, Moody Blue, and Lowkey Grey. The metal-bodied laptop weighs from 1.3kg, depending on the configuration.

One of the more unusual features is the ability to swap the keyboard keycaps. Users can choose keycaps that match the laptop’s body or create a contrasting color combination, giving the IdeaPad Vibe a more customizable look than most conventional laptops.

IdeaPad Vibe Display and Hardware

Display options include an IPS panel with a 120Hz laptop displays, while the OLED configuration is available only in the Lowkey Grey and Moody Blue colors. The OLED option supports up to 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, making it better suited to users who care about color reproduction.

Hardware configurations vary by platform. The Snapdragon X version supports up to 24GB of memory, while AMD Ryzen AI laptops 400 models can reach 32GB RAM thanks to two memory slots. Storage can be configured with up to a 1TB SSD, while battery options include 50Wh and 65Wh capacities.

Connectivity is another strong point. The IdeaPad Vibe includes two USB Type-A ports and two USB Type-C ports, although all four are limited to 5Gbps transfer speeds. Lenovo also includes HDMI, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot, giving the laptop a broader selection of physical ports than some thin competitors.

Lenovo Qira Adds AI Features

On the software side, the IdeaPad Vibe comes with Lenovo’s Qira AI assistant on selected configurations. Through integration with Workato, Qira can connect with services such as email, calendars, and collaboration applications, allowing users to perform cross-app tasks using natural-language commands.

However, Qira is not included with every configuration. The entry-level $699 model is expected to come with only 8GB of memory, partly reflecting current memory costs, which could limit its performance for demanding local AI workloads.

Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO i Also Debuts

Alongside the IdeaPad Vibe, Lenovo has introduced the IdeaCentre AIO i all-in-one desktop. It features an Intel Core Ultra 300-series processor and a 27-inch display, with color options matching the IdeaPad Vibe lineup.

The desktop also comes with a matching keyboard and mouse and is expected to launch in November, starting at $939.

A $999 gaming laptop is no longer unusual. What is harder to find is a machine that makes sensible choices with that budget.

The CHUWI GTBook X takes a fairly straightforward approach. Instead of chasing an expensive high-resolution panel or a premium graphics processor, it combines an Intel Core 7 230H CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU, a 15.6-inch 144Hz display, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.

The specifications look familiar, but the more useful question is what they mean once you move beyond the product page.

The RTX 3050 is not a high-end graphics chip, and 4GB of VRAM places a clear limit on how ambitious the laptop can be with modern games. On the other hand, the GTBook X gives the GPU a relatively high power ceiling and pairs it with a Full HD high-refresh-rate screen.

That makes the laptop easier to understand as a 1080p gaming machine with upgrade potential, rather than as a budget attempt to imitate a flagship gaming notebook.

The Core 7 230H Is Built for More Than Gaming

The first component worth examining is the Intel Core 7 230H.

CHUWI’s configuration uses a 10-core, 16-thread processor with six Performance cores and four Efficient cores. Its maximum frequency reaches up to 5.2GHz, while the chip includes 24MB of Intel Smart Cache.

Those numbers matter because a gaming laptop isn’t only used for games.

A machine in this price range may also be used for schoolwork, browser-heavy multitasking, programming, photo editing, office applications or occasional video production. The GTBook X therefore needs enough CPU headroom to handle background applications while the dedicated GPU deals with graphics workloads.

For everyday computing, the Core 7 230H should be considerably more capable than an entry-level notebook processor.

But it isn’t the component that defines the GTBook X’s gaming identity.

That role belongs to the RTX 3050.

The RTX 3050 Is Where Buyers Need to Set Expectations

The GTBook X uses an RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM.

That immediately tells you where the laptop belongs in the gaming market.

The RTX 3050 can still make sense for 1080p gaming, particularly with competitive games, older AAA titles and games that support NVIDIA technologies such as DLSS.

However, 4GB of VRAM is becoming an increasingly important limitation.

Modern games can consume substantial amounts of graphics memory, especially when high-resolution textures, ray tracing and demanding visual effects are enabled. Once a game exceeds what the GPU can comfortably handle, lowering the graphics settings may become necessary.

Therefore, the GTBook X should not be evaluated against gaming laptops with substantially more powerful GPUs.

Its natural territory is:

1080p + sensible settings + mainstream gaming

rather than:

maximum settings + ray tracing + high-resolution gaming.

That distinction is more important than the RTX branding itself.

The GPU Power Limit Is More Interesting Than the RTX 3050 Name

There is another specification that deserves attention.

CHUWI lists an 80W Total Graphics Power configuration for the RTX 3050, with Dynamic Boost allowing the GPU to reach up to 95W in the appropriate operating mode.

This is important because the same GPU model can behave differently across laptops.

A laptop manufacturer can configure a mobile GPU within different power limits depending on its cooling system, chassis and power supply. Consequently, simply seeing “RTX 3050” on a specification sheet doesn’t tell the whole performance story.

The GTBook X’s higher-power configuration gives the GPU more room to sustain performance.

CHUWI also states that the system can reach up to 140W of combined CPU and GPU power in Turbo Mode when connected to AC power.

That means buyers should think of the GTBook X as a laptop whose performance is most relevant when it is plugged in.

Why the 144Hz Screen Is a Sensible Match

The GTBook X uses a 15.6-inch 1920 × 1080 IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

A 144Hz screen is sometimes treated as a headline specification, but its value depends on whether the hardware can generate enough frames to take advantage of it.

In this laptop, Full HD is actually a sensible choice.

Driving 1920 × 1080 pixels is considerably less demanding than rendering a higher-resolution gaming display. That leaves the RTX 3050 with a more realistic opportunity to produce higher frame rates in lighter games.

Competitive shooters and esports titles are where the 144Hz panel makes the most obvious sense.

If a game runs at 100fps or above, the higher refresh rate can make movement and camera transitions feel noticeably smoother than a conventional 60Hz panel.

For a demanding modern AAA game, however, the RTX 3050 may not consistently approach 144fps.

The right way to look at the display is therefore not:

“This is a 144Hz gaming laptop, so every game will run at 144fps.”

It is:

“The 144Hz panel gives the RTX 3050 enough room to deliver a smoother experience in games where the GPU can produce high frame rates.”

4GB VRAM Is the Long-Term Question

If there is one specification that potential buyers should examine carefully, it is the 4GB VRAM capacity.

The RTX 3050’s GPU architecture supports features such as ray tracing and DLSS, but advanced graphics technologies don’t eliminate the underlying memory limitation.

A game can be technically compatible with the GPU while still requiring reduced texture quality or other settings to maintain a comfortable experience.

This doesn’t make the GTBook X unsuitable for gaming.

It simply defines its useful lifespan more clearly.

For esports and less demanding games, 4GB can remain perfectly workable.

For increasingly demanding AAA releases, however, buyers should expect to compromise on graphical settings.

That makes the GTBook X more attractive to someone who values stable 1080p gaming and price than someone planning to keep every setting at Ultra for several years.

Upgradeable RAM Gives the Laptop More Breathing Room

The GTBook X starts with 16GB of DDR4-3200 memory.

That is a reasonable starting point for gaming and general productivity, but the more interesting part is the upgrade path.

The laptop includes two SO-DIMM slots, with support for up to 64GB of RAM according to CHUWI.

This can matter more than it initially appears.

A user might begin with 16GB of memory and later upgrade when workloads become heavier. That could be useful for developers running virtual machines, creators working with large projects, or people who simply keep many applications open simultaneously.

Upgradeable memory also means the laptop does not have to be treated as a fixed configuration from day one.

That gives the GTBook X a practical advantage over machines where the RAM is permanently soldered.

Storage Expansion Could Extend Its Useful Life

The same philosophy applies to storage.

The standard machine comes with a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, but CHUWI provides two M.2 2280 slots for expansion.

This is particularly useful for gaming.

A few large modern games can consume hundreds of gigabytes, and the operating system and applications also take up space. A 512GB drive can therefore become restrictive surprisingly quickly.

With an additional M.2 drive, users can expand storage without replacing the original system drive.

For a budget-oriented gaming laptop, this is one of the more practical features because it allows the machine to grow with the user’s library.

Cooling Matters Because Power Creates Heat

Higher GPU power is useful only if the cooling system can handle it.

The GTBook X uses multiple heat pipes, cooling fans and copper fins to move heat away from the CPU and GPU.

CHUWI also provides three operating modes:

Office Mode for lower power consumption

Balance Mode for a compromise between efficiency and performance

Turbo Mode for maximum performance when connected to AC power

This gives the user more control over how aggressively the hardware operates.

For ordinary browsing and office work, there is little reason to keep the laptop in its highest-performance mode.

During gaming, however, Turbo Mode can provide the power envelope needed to get the most from the RTX 3050.

The important point is that the laptop’s headline performance figures should be considered together with its power mode and cooling configuration.

The 2kg Chassis Keeps It Relatively Practical

Gaming laptops are usually heavier than ordinary productivity notebooks, and the GTBook X is no exception.

CHUWI lists the machine at approximately 2kg, with dimensions of around 360.2 × 243.5 × 23mm.

For a 15.6-inch gaming laptop, that is reasonably manageable.

It isn’t an ultrabook, but it is portable enough for users who need to move between home, school and work.

This also reinforces the laptop’s broader positioning.

The GTBook X is not designed exclusively for a desk. It is trying to provide enough gaming hardware for home use while remaining practical as a general-purpose Windows notebook.

Connectivity Makes It More Useful as a Desktop Replacement

The port selection is another area where CHUWI has prioritized practicality.

The GTBook X includes:

USB-C

multiple USB-A ports

HDMI 2.1

Mini DisplayPort 1.4

Gigabit Ethernet

SD card reader

3.5mm audio connections

That makes it possible to connect gaming peripherals, external displays, wired networking and removable storage without immediately reaching for a USB hub.

The HDMI and Mini DisplayPort outputs also make the laptop suitable for multi-display setups.

For students and creators, the full-size SD card reader can be useful for moving photographs and video files.

These aren’t glamorous specifications, but they can make a noticeable difference in daily use.

The Battery Is Clearly Not the Main Focus

The GTBook X uses a 46.74Wh battery.

That capacity needs to be considered alongside the laptop’s dedicated GPU and high-performance processor.

Gaming on battery power will naturally place a much heavier load on the system than web browsing or document editing.

CHUWI also indicates that maximum performance requires AC power.

So buyers shouldn’t approach the GTBook X as a gaming laptop designed primarily for long unplugged gaming sessions.

Its strengths are much clearer when connected to its power adapter.

Who Should Consider the GTBook X?

The GTBook X makes the most sense for a particular type of buyer.

It is well suited to someone who wants:

1080p gaming

esports and multiplayer titles

a 144Hz display

a capable everyday processor

upgradeable RAM

expandable storage

a reasonable selection of ports

one laptop for both study/work and gaming

It is less convincing for someone who wants:

4K gaming

maximum graphics settings

heavy ray tracing

a large VRAM buffer

high-end AAA performance for many years without compromises

The distinction is important because a $999 gaming laptop doesn’t need to compete with a $2,000 machine to be worthwhile.

It needs to make the right compromises.

Is $999 the Right Price for This Hardware?

CHUWI lists the GTBook X at $999 in the U.S. market.

At that price, the strongest argument isn’t that the RTX 3050 is an exceptional GPU.

It isn’t.

The more compelling argument is that the laptop combines several useful elements:

Core 7 230H + up-to-95W RTX 3050 configuration+ 144Hz Full HD + 16GB upgradeable RAM + expandable storage.

That is a more coherent package than a specification list focused on one headline component.

The upgradeability is especially relevant because users can increase memory and storage later instead of replacing the laptop simply because the original configuration becomes restrictive.

Final Verdict

The CHUWI GTBook X tablet pc is best understood as a mainstream 1080p gaming laptop rather than a low-cost high-end gaming machine.

Its Core 7 230H processor gives it enough CPU flexibility for gaming and everyday productivity, while the RTX 3050 provides dedicated graphics power for Full HD gaming.

The 144Hz display complements that target resolution, and the GPU’s up-to-95W configuration gives the graphics processor more room to perform than an aggressively power-limited RTX 3050 implementation.

At the same time, the 4GB VRAM limitation should not be ignored. Buyers interested in the latest AAA games will need to accept lower settings in more demanding titles.

The laptop’s upgradeable RAM and dual M.2 storage slots may ultimately prove just as important as its initial performance. They give the GTBook X a degree of flexibility that can extend its usefulness as workloads and storage requirements grow.

At $999, the GTBook X therefore makes the most sense for buyers who want solid 1080p gaming, a fast-refresh display and an upgrade-friendly laptop without moving into premium gaming-laptop pricing.

The tablet market typically falls into two broad categories: premium devices designed for media and productivity, and budget models that may sacrifice durability or processing power. Yet some users need a different balance—a tablet that can handle accidental drops, exposure to dust and water, and demanding everyday work environments without becoming overly bulky. AGM PAD P3 Compact targets this niche by combining a rugged build with the functionality needed for practical daily use.

AGM, a brand better known for its rugged smartphones, has now entered this space with the PAD P3 Compact triple protection mini tablet. It’s not trying to compete with the iPad Pro or the Galaxy Tab S9.
This review takes a closer look at what the AGM PAD P3 offers, who it’s for, and whether it delivers on its promise of rugged reliability.

What Makes the AGM PAD P3 Different?

At first glance, the PAD P3 might seem like a small, unassuming tablet. Its 8.68-inch screen is compact by modern tablet standards, and its specifications, while respectable, won’t compete with flagship devices. But the PAD P3’s real value lies in its durability and thoughtful design for work scenarios.

Rugged Construction for Real-World Conditions

The PAD P3 carries IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance certifications. For context, IP68 means it’s completely dust-tight and can survive submersion in water beyond 1 meter for extended periods. IP69K is a much more stringent rating, indicating the device can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets—the kind used in industrial cleaning.

This makes the PAD P3 suitable for harsh environments where standard tablets would quickly fail.

Compact Size with a Purpose

The 8.68-inch form factor is a deliberate choice. Most rugged tablets tend to be large and heavy, but AGM has prioritized portability. The smaller screen makes the device easier to hold with one hand, and the adjustable wrist strap adds an extra layer of security when working at heights or in busy environments.

Helio G99 Chip: Balanced Performance

The MediaTek Helio G99 is a mid-range chip, and it’s a practical choice for a work-oriented tablet. It offers enough power for navigation, documentation, communication, and basic multitasking without consuming excessive battery. It’s not designed for intensive gaming or video editing, but for the intended use cases, it’s more than adequate.

Key Features for Work and Field Use

8.68-Inch 120Hz Display

The 600-nit brightness is a standout feature. Many tablets struggle to be readable in direct sunlight, but the PAD P3’s display is designed to remain visible in bright outdoor conditions. The 120Hz refresh rate also makes scrolling through documents and navigation smoother.

7200mAh Battery with 18W Charging

For a compact tablet, the 7200mAh battery is generous. AGM claims it can last through a full workday of typical use, which is critical for field workers who may not have access to power outlets. The 18W wired charging is modest but sufficient for overnight charging.

50MP Main Camera and Camping Light

The 50MP rear camera is useful for documenting work sites, capturing photos of equipment, or scanning documents. The high-brightness camping light is a thoughtful addition, providing illumination for tasks in low-light environments without needing a separate flashlight.

Android 16 with Global 4G and eSIM

Running Android 16 out of the box means the PAD P3 will receive the latest features and security updates. The global version supports both physical SIM and eSIM, offering flexibility for international travel or switching carriers. The US version, however, is Wi-Fi only.

Expandable Storage

The 128GB internal storage is supplemented by a microSD card slot, allowing users to store large files, maps, and documentation without worrying about running out of space.

Who Should Buy the AGM PAD P3?

The PAD P3 is not for everyone. It’s a niche device designed for specific users:

Field Technicians: For workers who need to access manuals, schematics, and documentation while on site.

Construction and Maintenance Workers: For those who need a device that can survive drops, dust, and water.

Logistics and Warehouse Staff: For inventory management and communication in challenging environments.

It is less suitable for users who primarily consume media, play games, or need a laptop replacement for intensive productivity tasks.

Both the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 388 processors belong to AMD’s Strix Halo family and feature an integrated Radeon 8060S GPU. On the flagship model, the 128GB LPDDR5X-8000 memory can allocate up to 96GB as graphics memory, providing substantial capacity for demanding workloads such as AI processing, 3D rendering, and high-end gaming.

Modular Design: Battery or Cooling Module

The Win Max 3 adopts a modular approach to its internal layout. Its 97Wh battery and 110W external cooling module occupy the same compartment, allowing users to install either one depending on their needs.

The cooling module adds an additional fan to provide greater thermal headroom for the Strix Halo platform, helping the system maintain sustained performance at configurable TDP levels ranging from 45W to 110W.

Storage Expansion and Display

For storage expansion, the handheld provides two M.2 slots, including M.2 2280 and M.2 2230 interfaces, along with support for Mini SSD expansion.

On the display side, the GPD Win Max 3 features a 9.06-inch AMOLED panel with a 2400 × 1504 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for both gaming and demanding visual workloads such as photo editing and video production.

Pre-Sale Bonuses and Accessories

As part of the current pre-sale offer, customers will receive the external fan cooling module as a free bonus. The standalone battery module will be sold separately for 599 yuan.

Bottom Line

The GPD Win Max 3 comes in a wide selection of configurations, starting at 9,999 yuan for the early-bird version and reaching 26,499 yuan for the top-tier model. Powered by AMD’s Strix Halo platform and available with up to 128GB of memory, the handheld combines high-end performance with a modular design that allows users to prioritize either longer battery life or improved cooling. This makes the Win Max 3 a flexible option for gaming as well as demanding productivity and professional tasks.

Gaming laptops are becoming more capable, but high-end hardware can quickly push prices beyond the reach of students and first-time buyers. CHUWI is targeting that gap with its new GTBook X, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop equipped with an Intel Core 7 230H processor and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU.

The company is positioning the GTBook X as a more accessible option for gaming, schoolwork, productivity, and AI-related applications. It combines a 144Hz display, upgradeable memory and storage, and a broad selection of ports while keeping the listed starting price at $999.

“With the GTBook X, we set out to prove that exceptional gaming performance shouldn’t be locked behind a four-figure price tag,” said Jesea Yang, CEO of CHUWI. “We refused to compromise on the essentials—full-power GPU, 144Hz display, and full upgradability—all while keeping it under $1,000.”

RTX 3050 Graphics With a Higher-Power Configuration

At the center of the GTBook X’s gaming capabilities is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM. CHUWI lists an 80W Total Graphics Power configuration, while the system can allocate additional power to the GPU through NVIDIA Dynamic Boost when operating in Turbo Mode.

The company says the laptop can reach up to 140W of combined CPU and GPU power when connected to AC power with its included 180W adapter. In this configuration, the CPU can operate at up to 45W, while the GPU can reach up to 95W with Dynamic Boost.

The RTX 3050 also brings dedicated second-generation ray-tracing cores and third-generation Tensor Cores. These technologies support features such as real-time ray tracing and DLSS in compatible games, while Tensor hardware can also assist with certain creative and AI workloads.

Intel Core 7 230H Powers the GTBook X

CHUWI pairs the dedicated graphics with the Intel Core 7 230H, a processor introduced in the first quarter of 2026.

The chip uses a hybrid CPU architecture with 6 Performance cores and 4 Efficient cores, providing a total of 10 cores and 16 threads. It can reach a maximum clock speed of 5.2GHz and includes 24MB of Intel Smart Cache.

CHUWI also cites a PassMark score of 24,533 for the processor, compared with 17,627 for the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS and 23,357 for the Intel Core i7-13620H. Benchmark figures can vary depending on the test environment and configuration, so real-world performance should ultimately be judged through independent testing.

For users who need one machine for gaming and productivity, the combination of the Core 7 230H and RTX 3050 gives the GTBook X considerably more flexibility than a laptop relying solely on integrated graphics.

Cooling Designed for Sustained Performance

Higher power limits also create greater thermal demands, particularly during extended gaming sessions.

To address this, the GTBook X uses a cooling assembly built around four heat pipes, two high-speed fans, and dense copper fins. The system is designed to move heat away from the CPU and GPU while maintaining the laptop’s higher-power operating modes.

A dedicated physical Mode Button allows users to switch between three operating profiles:

Office Mode: prioritizes lower power consumption and longer battery use.

Balance Mode: aims for a compromise between performance and efficiency.

Turbo Mode: increases the available power envelope when maximum performance is required.

This approach gives users more control over how the laptop behaves depending on whether they’re working away from an outlet or gaming while connected to AC power.

Upgradeable RAM and Storage

One of the GTBook X’s more practical features is its upgrade-friendly internal design.

The standard configuration includes 16GB of DDR4-3200 dual-channel memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. Rather than permanently soldering these components to the motherboard, CHUWI provides two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 2280 storage slots.

The memory can be expanded to 64GB, using two 32GB modules, while the dual M.2 slots support PCIe 4.0 ×4 storage. CHUWI lists support for configurations of up to 2TB.

This flexibility could be valuable for buyers who want to start with the standard configuration and increase memory or storage later instead of replacing the entire laptop.

144Hz Full HD Display for Gaming

The GTBook X features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel with a 1920 × 1080 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.

The higher refresh rate is particularly relevant to fast-moving games. Compared with a conventional 60Hz panel, 144Hz can provide smoother motion and make rapid camera movements feel more fluid when the system can produce sufficiently high frame rates.

The display also uses IPS technology, which is intended to provide wider viewing angles and a more balanced experience for everyday entertainment and productivity.

For an RTX 3050-equipped laptop, Full HD is also a sensible resolution target. It places less graphical demand on the GPU than higher-resolution panels, allowing the hardware to focus on maintaining playable frame rates.

Windows 11 Pro and Extensive Connectivity

Beyond gaming, the GTBook X is designed to function as a general-purpose Windows computer.

It ships with Windows 11 Pro and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The laptop also features an RGB backlit keyboard and a wide selection of physical connections.

The available ports include:

1 × USB-C 3.2 Gen 2

2 × USB-A 3.2 Gen 1

1 × USB-A 2.0

1 × Gigabit Ethernet

1 × Mini DisplayPort 1.4

1 × HDMI 2.1

1 × SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader

1 × 3.5mm headphone jack

1 × 3.5mm microphone jack

1 × DC input

Both the HDMI 2.1 and Mini DisplayPort outputs are specified to support up to 4K at 120Hz, making the laptop suitable for users who want to connect external displays.

The built-in full-size SD card reader is also useful for photographers, video creators, and students who regularly transfer files from cameras or other storage devices.

A Gaming Laptop Designed for More Than Gaming

Although gaming is the GTBook X’s primary focus, its hardware configuration gives it a broader use case.

The Core 7 230H provides substantial CPU resources for multitasking, while the RTX 3050 can accelerate compatible creative applications and AI-assisted workloads in addition to gaming.

The upgradeable memory and storage are particularly relevant for students and users who expect their software library or project files to grow over time. Instead of treating the laptop as a fixed configuration, users can potentially expand it as their needs change.

The 144Hz display and dedicated GPU also make it more suitable for entertainment than a typical productivity-focused notebook.

Price and Availability

The CHUWI GTBook X is listed at $999 in its 15.6-inch 144Hz configuration.

At that price, the laptop’s main selling points are its combination of an Intel Core 7 230H processor, RTX 3050 graphics, 144Hz IPS display, upgradeable RAM and storage, and extensive connectivity.

For buyers considering an entry-level gaming laptop, the GTBook X offers an interesting balance between gaming hardware and everyday productivity features. Its upgradeable design may also give it an advantage for users who want more flexibility over the life of the machine.

For additional product information and availability, buyers can check CHUWI’s official channels.

Its foldable mini-laptop form is intended to make PC gaming and everyday computing easier to take on the road. However, that advantage becomes less convincing when battery endurance falls short. Based on the available figures, battery life appears to be one of the G1’s main compromises, meaning extended use away from a charger may require more planning than the compact design suggests.

The Raw Numbers

The ONEXPLAYER G1 packs a 51.97Wh battery . This concept of packing high-performance PC hardware into a portable form factor makes it a unique ‘three-in-one’ device. If this foldable mini gaming laptop design interests you, check the ONEXPLAYER G1 ‘s detailed specs and price on Banggood.

Real-world tests confirm this. Gaming at 30W TDP delivers roughly one hour of battery life . That’s for demanding titles like God of War Ragnarök. At 25W TDP, you’ll get about 1.5 hours for a game like Cyberpunk 2077 on low settings . Even at a more modest 15W TDP, optimized for efficiency, the G1 manages only 2.5 hours for a game like Forza Horizon 5 at 60fps .

This aligns with what other users have reported: high-performance gaming on the G1 lasts “less than two hours” , and heavy-load battery life can “collapse toward an hour” despite the 51.97Wh cell .

What This Means in Practice

The battery isn’t just a number—it fundamentally changes how you use the device.

For a commute that’s 45 minutes each way, the G1 is fine. You can game comfortably. For a flight that’s three hours, you’re bringing a power bank or fighting for a seat near an outlet. For a day of travel with intermittent gaming, you’re constantly checking battery percentage.

The productivity side fares better. For light tasks—browsing, document editing, checking emails—the G1 can stretch to 5-6 hours . That’s actually decent for a Windows device with a high-resolution 8.8-inch display. But the G1 is marketed as a gaming machine first, and gaming is where the battery struggles.

The Charging Quirks

Beyond runtime, there’s a serious warning about charging. Some sources like ONEXPLAYER G1 release coverage caution never to use a high-wattage PD “Fast Charger” on the G1, as it can damage the battery . Use a standard 5V/1.5A brick instead . This is a major limitation for a device that begs to be taken on the go—you can’t just use the same charger you use for your laptop or phone.

For a 100W GaN charger , the recommendation might seem counterintuitive, but the warning is consistent across multiple discussions.

The Context

Battery life is a persistent challenge across the entire handheld gaming PC category. The Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Legion Go all face similar trade-offs between performance and portability. The G1’s 51.97Wh battery is actually on the larger side for its class . But its power-hungry processor and high refresh-rate display place it right at the edge of what the current battery technology can support.

The Bottom Line

The ONEXPLAYER G1’s battery performance isn’t necessarily poor when compared with other high-performance handheld PCs, but it can feel limiting if you expect all-day freedom from a power outlet. For shorter gaming sessions, light productivity, or casual use, the battery should be adequate. However, extended gaming during travel can become challenging when a charger or power bank isn’t available.

In simple terms, the G1 is easy to carry, but its battery capacity limits how long you can stay away from a power source. That’s an important trade-off to consider before buying.
