Xiaomi in its shop Youpin has put in crowdfunding a filter portable water purifier that occupies little space and allows to drink water in a healthy way from our tap. The new filter for water that Xiaomi has put on sale comes manufactured under the company Nanjing Yimi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.
This water filter has measures of 117 mm in height x 82 mm in thickness. This can purify the water from our tap at a rate of 1L of water per minute. Inside it houses a rechargeable 1000mAh battery that allows a constant pressure work of 0.10 / 0.40 MPa. The temperature at which this water purifier can work is from 5º to 38º at the most.
This water purifier comes with a smartphone application that allows the user to communicate the quality of the water and thus carry out an exhaustive control of the water quality. The water purifier comes with an RGB led light that changes color depending on the quality of the water. In the app will be shown the values that make this water healthy or have to be treated in one way or another.
Thanks to the use of several algorithms that have been implemented in this filter you will be able to detect and eliminate malignant particles for human beings. Through four-stage filtering, the purifier will be able to detect and remove pesticide residue particles, pharmaceutical antibiotics, heavy metal petrochemical pesticide fertilizers, soluble salt of calcium and magnesium ions, and improve the mineral turbidity that exists in the tap water.
These filters perform an effective cleaning that makes the quality is within the national standards of China as drinking water. It also incorporates a cotton filter and a PET filter that allows the filtration of suspended solid sediments and other impurities as harmful particles for humans. This water purifier incorporates IP65 so that water does not penetrate inside its mechanism. To be compatible with the majority of household taps, it incorporates 4 fixing washers with which we can screw the purify our tap.
The price of this portable water purifier is 299 yuan ($43). The first units will be sent from July 25. From that date, we will see it for sale in the stores of Chinese retailers at a price higher than that mentioned. There is no mention of changing filters and it is not known if it is really useful or if it is basic filtering.
