Qualcomm announced this month that it will launch the snapdragon 4 series‘ first 5G mobile platform, accelerating the popularity of 5G smartphones.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 series 5G platform will aim at models priced at 1,000 yuan, $166 and below, mainly for the entry-level market.
Xiaomi has been designing low-cost phones for Qualcomm snapdragon 4 series 5G platform, and it is expected to see 5G smartphones under 1,000 yuan at the earliest next year, according to industry insiders @mobile chip expert.
It is reported that Xiaomi will be one of the first mobile phone manufacturers to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 series 5G platform. The new phone will be officially launched in Q1 of 2021.
According to snapdragon 4 series 5G platform positioning, xiaomi models priced below 1000 yuan will be Redmi brand phones, and naturally Redmi 5G new phones will be equipped with this chip.
From the perspective of Redmi product line positioning, Redmi digital series and Redmi A series are priced below 1000 YUAN, representing the models Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A. Therefore, it is speculated that the next generation of Redmi digital series may adopt Snapdragon 4 series 5G platform.

Xiaomi will be the world’s first manufacturer to launch snapdragon 4 series 5G smartphones, another step in its long-term cooperation with Qualcomm.
