Today on October 12, Xiaomi officially announced the new crowdfunding product “Jupiter Dawn Smart Building Block Series” on its Youpin, and its crowdfunding will start at 10:00 on October 14. The new Xiaomi Jupiter Dawn Smart Building Block Series is a combination of original sci-fi IP and smart building blocks with AR augmented reality gameplay.
There are 5 products in the crowdfunding, including the Orion Hexapod Titan, the Shepherd Carrier, the Scorpio Defense Tower, the Aquila Reconnaissance Aircraft, and the Flying Fish Shuttle. The individual building block parts range from 477 to 1,206.
This block series adopts a new smart building block control structure. A variety of smart modules form a highly free system through Bluetooth Mesh. The mobile phone provides Al computing power support for the hardware, and the smart module can achieve more flexible functions.
The smart building block has a high-torque motor, a built-in angle sensor, can feedback accurate speed information, and supports Bluetooth Mesh connection with a true color light module, which can be powered by itself and combine different colors at will.
All Jupiter Dawn series can enter the AR augmented reality interface through the exclusive APP scanning, giving the product realistic and cool special effects, as if already in the interstellar universe.
Through the brand-new AR augmented reality technology, the mecha can be given life, and the powerful hexapod Titans can be played offensive and defensively in the game, and feel the thrilling on-site experience.
The Scorpio defensive tower can be used with a mobile phone to achieve autonomous and intelligent control. By identifying the matching tags, it triggers the tracking of guided weapons until the enemy is killed, a new Al gameplay.
In terms of price, the retail prices of Xiaomi Jupiter Dawn Smart Building Block Series are respectively 499 yuan ($74), 399 yuan ($59), 299 yuan ($44.30), 199 yuan ($29.50), and 99 yuan ($14.66). While, the crowdfunding prices are 469 yuan ($69.45), 369 yuan ($54.65), 269 yuan ($39.84), 169 yuan ($25), and 79 yuan ($11.70).
