This year, Qualcomm released the second generation of 3D acoustic wave sensor. The new ultrasonic sensor has a fingerprint recognition area 77% larger than that of the first generation, and the captured data is 1.7 times that of the first generation. More importantly, its speed is about 50% faster than the previous generation. This means that users can spend less time worrying about where to put their fingers and unlock the phone faster.
The thickness of the new sensor is only 0.2 mm, making it actually used in flexible OLED displays in foldable mobile phones. Compared with capacitive sensors, it still has the advantage that it can recognize your finger even when it is wet.
Previously, the official said that the Meizu18 series of curved screens all adopt a centre-cut hole design. Among them, the Meizu 18 Pro uses a 2K screen, and the Meizu 18 uses a 6.2-inch screen, claiming “lightweight size, control the audience.”
