While promoting the upgrade plan of Harmony OS, Huawei has not forgotten users who stayed on the EMUI system. At present, the company has released the July 2021 security update for EMUI and Magic UI, which fixes 49 security issues in these operating systems.
After the user upgrades, it can prevent common vulnerabilities, control rights to damage user data, and prevent any damage Unauthenticated access. It is reported that 15 of the security issues involved in this July 2021 security update are of high severity and 26 are of medium severity.
Most of the systems involved are EMUI 11, EMUI 10, Magic UI 4.0.0, and Magic UI 3.1.1. High-level security issues can be exploited by criminals to achieve DoS attacks, elevate users to root permissions, or exhaust system memory resources to cause device restarts, and affect the integrity and availability of the entire system.
