Last year, Xiaomi announced the Redmi X smart TVs. They caught the attention of users with their high-end performance at a reasonable price. Today, the manufacturer unveiled the updated Redmi X Smart TVs 2022 with 55- and 65-inch screens. Both devices stand out for their relatively high cost and advanced technical characteristics.
Redmi X Smart TVs 2022 is made in a metal case and has narrow bezels around the screen. The display resolution in both cases corresponds to 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels). The claimed grayscale response time is 6.5ms. The screen supports 10-bit color and boasts 94% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. The new TVs support FreeSync Premium and Dolby Vision.
In addition, their matrices support refresh rates up to 120 Hz. It is worth noting the support for the MEMC frame interpolation technology, which adds additional frames to the video sequence to make the content look smoother. The Redmi X Smart TVs 2022 are equipped with four 12.5 W speakers, two air ducts, and a sealed acoustic box with a capacity of 0.38 liters. Dolby Atmos support is declared.
Lifting the hood is a 22nm MediaTek MTK9650 processor with a 1.5GHz quad-core A73 CPU, Mali G52 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. A more than enough configuration to run Android TV, the operating system chosen under Xiaomi’s custom Patchwall layer.
Regarding the price, the new TV series of the Redmi will be available in China at a very attractive price: 3499 yuan (about $546) for the 65-inch model, and 2999 yuan (around $468) for the 55-inch version. Available to pre-order from now on and the shipment will take place from October 31.
For sale in the usual stores JD.com, Xiaomi Mall, and Xiaomi Youpin, it is still unknown if the Redmi X Smart TVs 2022 will leave the Chinese market and reach the international market, something that did not happen with the previous Redmi panel family.
