The Best Mobile Games in 2022

Brady CottonBy Brady CottonMarch 31, 2022
Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

Whether you use an Apple iPhone or an Android device, the choice of mobile games currently available is mind-boggling. There are hundreds of thousands of different titles.

So choosing the best mobile games in 2022 is an almost impossible task. Or is it?

Our iGeek team asked around as many phone gamers as we could and we looked at as many reviews at online casino and social media as we had time for.

We drank some coffee and sat and talked. Then we argued. Then we talked some more. In the end we came up with this completely subjective but-you’d-better-not-disagree-or-else list.

Feeling angry because you think there’s a different one you think should be in there? Tough! We’re writing the list. You can go and write your own list whenever you want.

All these are still active games and sometimes we’ve picked the first of a series just to represent the series. So here goes. What do you think?

    • Raid: Shadow Legends

So many mobile users love role-playing games we had to include one of the biggest and best. Raid: Shadow Legends is a classic of this genre with all the fantasies, monsters and superpowers anyone could ask for.

The graphics are super-powered too, with the great 3D artwork and pyrotechnics creating a thrilling environment to play in.

    • Genshin Impact

Enter the anime-style fantasy world of Genshin Impact to play in a supercharged Legend-of-Zelda-type of world. Best of all, this beautifully drawn fantastical experience is completely free to play on mobile.

    • Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD

Fancy a great tower defence game? Rush Royale that you can find if download 1xbet mobile app on is one of the best.  Yes, it’s a well-tried formula but Rush Royale does it so well.

Players can establish a team of warriors and wizards to beat the invading enemy, and unlock more powers as you get stronger.

Using different characters means different strategies work, so there’s quite a bit of thought required for this one. But however you play, it’s always great fun.

    • Monument Valley

Is this the best – or is it the sequel Monument Valley 2? They are both really iconic games that can appeal right across the spectrum.

Explore the mysterious twisting buildings with odd perspective and puzzling spaces that are derived from the style of Escher. Overall, the graphics are simply wonderful art and it’s a brilliant environment to play in.

    • Pokemon Go

Is this the most famous, most long-lasting game of all? Pokemon Go arrived in 2016 – some people are still nuts about it today.

It literally was a game-changer. Suddenly location-based playing was the rage and players were rushing around real-world landmarks trying to catch Pokemon characters.

    • Slay the Spire

Something very different: one of the ultimate card battling games. It’s a formula that others have used but we think this is the best deck-building game out there.

It is full of deep layers but the engaging card-based battles still seem intuitive to play. And we really dig those strange graphics too.

    • Alto’s Odessy

Another stylish newcomer with excellent art and graphics, Alto’s Odessy is a great adventure in fantasy gaming. The gameplay is always engrossing, it’s a difficult game to put down.

    • Call of Duty: Mobile

Probably the best shooter game of all time, Call of Duty is a class package of all-round thrills and slick captivating designs. It’s a fast and wide-ranging multi-player game that slips from one scene to the next seamlessly.

The mobile version of Call of Duty has lots of modes to experience and excellent controller support too. It should be on every gamer’s top ten list.

    • League of Legends: Wild Rift

And now for something completely different: a multi-player online battle arena star: League of Friends: Wild Rift. It’s such an iconic game most gamers simply call it “League’.

Two teams of five fight it out over a map that derives from the Warcraft era. It’s free to play but you’ll pay for character customisation.

    • Grid Autosport

Everyone has their favourite race game, this is ours. It’s a fast, exciting console copy that looks as good on a phone as it does on a big desktop gaming screen.

Most of the races take place on real-world tracks like Brands Hatch or Indianapolis, and players have a choice of more than 100 cars to drive.

    • Jetpack Joyride

This early entry into the endless runner mobile genre is still a popular choice. As the hero you have to fly, run, and blast your way through obstacles for as far as you are able.

Hazards are unpredictable and fun, and your powers can get sudden boosts just when you need them most.

    • Wayward Souls

Brace yourself for an action adventure game with a huge amount of replay value. You control one of six characters with different skills and style but the random elements in the design mean that every game is different.

Your tactics and timing are vital. Get it right by slashing, fighting and dodging… until, of course, you die.

    • The Room

It’s really just a simple locked-box puzzle, but The Room and is sequels are simply great to look at. Playing amid these graphics is atmospheric and strangely tactile. Play them all to get truly immersed.

    • Among Us

This free-to-play sci-fi whodunit needs skill. You have to communicate with the other players carefully – and winning takes a bit of sneakiness.

You are hunting for the imposter among the spacecraft crew. If it’s you don’t hesitate – you simply have to murder the rest of the crew!
