According to the information in the Xiaomi code, Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 will be the world’s first dual-screen foldable phone that can be folded 360°, which means it can be folded in both directions.

The characters “reversed folded devicestates” appear in the code, implying that the Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 can be folded in reverse, that is, the phone can be folded 360°. IT House learned that Xiaomi had a foldable mobile phone prototype in 2018, which can be folded in both directions, and its model is U1. The device is not listed, Xiaomi just shared a video. The biggest issue with this device is that the interface for switching to foldable and phone modes is slow.

According to the code leaked in the Xiaomi code, the Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD 2 will have a function to adjust the size of the interface. When the phone is folded in both directions, the interface will be adjusted without errors. This feature of Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 benefits from Android 12L’s improvements to foldable phones, which suggests that MIX FOLD 2 will come with Android 12.1 pre-installed instead of Android 12.

It is reported that Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 is expected to be launched in June this year, and the model number will be 22061218C. Codenamed zizhan, it will only be available in China.
