The Find X7 Ultra’s screen brightness marks a significant breakthrough, soaring from the previous generation’s 2500nit to a dazzling 4500nit. Equipped with ProXDR display technology, the screen surpasses established global brightness standards, highlighting areas like light sources and the sky up to 8 times more brightly and restoring the picture’s dynamic range to the most realistic level.
The Third-Generation Snapdragon 8 Performance Iron Triangle
As the flagship phone of the year, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra undoubtedly employs the third-generation Snapdragon 8 performance iron triangle.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen3, crafted using TSMC’s new 4nm process and paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X 8533Mbps memory and 1TB of UFS4.0 flash memory, forms the cutting-edge performance iron triangle for 2023-2024, leaving no room for doubt about its capabilities.
Design and Display
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra has a 6.82-inch Oriental screen, known as a diamond screen, on its front. But what exactly is a diamond screen?
Featuring a dynamic peak brightness of 4500nit, this 2K screen stands out as the brightest. When combined with the ProXDR display, it enables photos to be up to 8 times brighter. The screen offers a near-perfect HDR experience with minimal dead spots, defining the essence of the diamond screen.
We then examined the OPPO Find X7 Ultra’s screen pixel arrangement. Its maximum resolution reaches 3168×1440, with a standard PPI of 510 and an effective PPI of approximately 416.
A 32-megapixel front-facing lens, using the Sony Optical LYT506 CMOS, sits at the top center of the screen. It supports both contrast and phase focus.
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra, provided by IGeekPhone, features a Songying Moyun color scheme. Its back combines plain leather and glass in a seamless splicing process. The phone’s upper lens area consists of dark gray glass, incorporating an AG sand effect and metallic ink to create a sophisticated metallic texture.
Beneath the lens, pure black plain leather is used, differing from the previous X6 series. Its design, inspired by court clothing and Ming Dynasty furniture, employs a symmetrical center-positive stitching pattern, enhancing the phone’s luxury, texture, and leadership style.
The phone includes four rear camera modules. Apart from the main and ultra-wide-angle lenses, it features two periscope telephoto lenses. The Hasselblad logo adorns the right side of the lens module, embodying a new generation concentric universe design.
The central periscope telephoto lens is an IMX890 camera with 3x optical zoom, while the top lens is an IMX858 camera with 6x optical zoom, flanked by a laser focus module. The 3x telephoto left lens serves as the main camera, and the ultra-wide-angle lens sits at the bottom. A single-color temperature dual LED fill light and a light color temperature sensor are integrated into the upper right corner of the lens assembly.

An independent speaker opening, a noise-reduction microphone, and an infrared remote control sensor are fitted on the top of the phone. The left side of the Find X7 Ultra includes an independent privacy and security button, which activates VIP security mode when toggled upwards. The OPPO Find X7 Ultra supports up to 100W super flash charging and comes standard with a 100W fast charging kit.
Performance and Gaming
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra incorporates the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. The entire series includes high-specification storage of LPDDR5X+UFS4.0 as standard. We opted for the 16GB+512GB version.
Game Actual Test
We conducted the game test session in an office environment at 25 degrees Celsius. Utilizing the popular mobile games “Peace Elite” and “Genshin Impact,” we tested the games at the highest frame rate and image quality (prioritizing image quality) and recorded the frame rate and body temperature performance during gameplay.
Peace Elite
For the mobile game Peace Elite, we tested the OPPO Find X7 Ultra’s ability to push the frame rate to 90 frames in high-definition quality. After a team battle, the average frame rate stabilized at 89.86 FPS, showcasing a very stable game screen.
In terms of temperature, the front of the fuselage reached a maximum temperature of 39.7 degrees Celsius, while the back recorded 37.9 degrees Celsius. Although the overall machine temperature was slightly higher, considering the large rear lens set and the plain leather body, the heat dissipation was slightly inferior to some performance-focused mobile phones but still acceptable.
Original God
In the Genshin Impact mobile game high-definition + 60 frame mode, running the map and fighting monsters for 10 minutes resulted in a surprisingly stable average frame rate of 59.11 FPS.
Regarding temperature, the front of the fuselage reached a maximum of 42.7 degrees Celsius, and the back recorded 40.5 degrees Celsius.
Battery
We actively evaluated the charging and battery life of the device.
Charging Test
In the screen-off charging test, we assessed the battery starting from 1%. Within 10 minutes, the battery surpassed the halfway mark, reaching 86% in 20 minutes. It achieved a full charge in 26 minutes, taking less than half an hour. With this rapid charging capability, even when completely drained, it can provide enough power over a cup of tea or a meal to sustain usage for the majority of the day.
Endurance Test
For battery life testing, we employed the professional battery life testing tool – Battery Dog, developed by IGeekPhone.
The default test included a 20% power evaluation. Simultaneously, all test parameters, such as CPU high voltage, CPU multi-threading, AI recognition, picture browsing, video playback, and web browsing, were examined to simulate various user scenarios and closely replicate real power consumption.
Throughout the test, to maintain consistent environmental variables for all models and ensure the precision of the results, Battery Dog automatically adjusted the screen brightness to 50%, disabled automatic brightness, and set the volume to 30%.
After continuous and uninterrupted testing by Battery Dog, the battery depleted from 100% to 20% in 9 hours, 54 minutes, and 2 seconds. The overall battery life exceeded 11.5 hours. Such impressive battery performance is nearly unparalleled among mobile phones emphasizing imaging. Despite its silent presence, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra stands out as a blockbuster. With this exceptional battery life, ordinary users will encounter no issues utilizing 2K resolution for daily activities throughout the day.
Verdict
After gaining experience, we summarized OPPO’s first Ultra model, Find X7 Ultra, as follows:
Firstly, OPPO Find takes responsibility for ultra-clear image shooting at ultra-long distances in terms of imaging. It does not aim for the ultimate color display but only demands sufficient resolution and detail output.
Secondly, with the ultra-light and shadow image engine, it is not an exaggeration to claim that OPPO Find X7 Ultra has pushed the imaging capabilities of domestic mobile phones to the ceiling level.
Regarding the optimal image solution of large-bottom medium focus + small-bottom ultra-telephoto, we believe that more and more flagship phones will follow suit in the future development of mobile imaging.
With a breakthrough imaging experience, the display quality of the screen will certainly not lag. OPPO Find X7 Ultra has further enhanced the brightness of the screen for better display effects, bringing greater visual impact to ProXDR photos.
