Igeekphone News, August 15th: Google announced today (August 15th) that it has released the Android 16 QPR1 Beta 3.1 update for Pixel 6 and subsequent models, focusing on addressing widely reported issues by users such as frequent restarts, unstable Wi-Fi, and abnormal notification bar displays.
Igeekphone, citing the technology media Android Authority, reported that Android 16 QPR1 Beta 3.1 is a minor version update, indicating that the development of QPR1 is nearing completion.
In terms of compatible models, the official list does not include the Pixel 6a. However, some users have obtained relevant test images through Google’s official servers, indicating that this model can still be upgraded in the future.
In terms of updated content, this Beta 3.1 did not introduce any brand-new features or revolutionizing the interface. Instead, it focused on addressing multiple serious issues that users had long reported.
The new version has fixed issues such as device restarts caused by abnormal Wi-Fi network statistics, system instability due to memory leaks in the Context Hub low-power sensing module, disappearance of the application bar and search box at the bottom of the home screen, overlapping of notification bar content and abnormal animations, as well as frequent restarts after OTA updates or system upgrades.
Beta 3.1 also resolves interface display issues such as misalignment of the quick Settings interface on foldable screen devices, unalignment of the status bar and the quick Settings bar, disappearance or freezing of the lock screen media player, and abnormal obstruction of the main interface by black semi-transparent bars.
In terms of audio, the update has fixed multiple audio-related issues such as video switching during calls causing muting, Bluetooth crashes, and system crashes when media connections occur.
Google has also fixed issues such as sudden application input failure, home screen widget loading failure, and input lag caused by internal process competition within the input method.
