On August 21st, Honor held a new product launch event in Shanghai and officially released the highly anticipated new flagship foldable phone, Honor Magic V Flip2. The starting price is 5,499 yuan and it will be officially available for sale on August 28th.

Specifically, the Honor Magic V Flip2 has undergone significant upgrades in terms of imaging, appearance and battery life this time. Firstly, in terms of imaging configuration, the Honor Magic V Flip2 is equipped with the first 200-megapixel AI ultra-clear main camera of the foldable series, paired with a 50-megapixel 120° ultra-wide-angle lens. It also supports film portrait, dynamic picture, and image-generated video functions, as well as live collage and AI editing features. Enable users to easily carry out post-processing even after shooting.
In terms of appearance design, Honor Magic V Flip2 continues the design concept of the previous generation that deeply integrates foldable screens with fashionable aesthetics. This time, four color options are launched: Dedecms Blue, Dawn Purple, Moon Shadow White, and Titanium Space Gray. Among them, Dedecms Blue, as a high-end custom model, was jointly created by Honor and international fashion master Dr. Jimmy Choo. Inspired by the faint light of crystal, the design incorporates the image of “crushed stars” into the body. Paired with the iconic Parisian nail pattern decoration of the folding family, it presents the exquisite details of haute couture fashion.

In terms of battery life and charging experience, the Honor Magic V Flip2 is equipped with the largest 5500mAh Qinghai Lake battery in the current small foldable category. In terms of charging solutions, this device supports a dual fast charging combination of 80W wired super fast charging and 50W wireless super fast charging. Among them, the wireless charging section is the first to adopt a dual-focus coil design – addressing common industry problems such as the low position of the wireless charging coil for small foldable phones and the low recognition rate of in-vehicle wireless charging, it optimizes the coil layout to enhance alignment efficiency and improve the practicality of wireless charging.
In addition, in terms of reliability, this device adopts ultra-tough UTG glass. After testing, it can achieve a crease of less than 50μm after 350,000 folds, ensuring that the body remains as flat as new after five years of use.

Meanwhile, the Magic V Flip2 is currently the only product in the small folding category that has passed the dual dust and water resistance certifications of IP58 and IP59, significantly enhancing the durability of the device during daily use.
In terms of external screen interaction, Honor has developed personalized features such as the cute pet team and magic lock screen for it. Coupled with a rich array of external screen AI applications and application adaptations, the interaction on small screens is no longer limited to simple notification displays. The inner screen is equipped with the Honor Oasis eye-protection screen, which takes into account both display effect and eye protection requirements.

In terms of performance, the Honor Magic V Flip2 is equipped with the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, complemented by Honor’s RF enhancement chip C1 + and energy efficiency enhancement chip E2. While ensuring performance output, it optimizes signal performance and energy efficiency control in the folded form.
In terms of the system, it is equipped with MagicOS 9.0, supporting interconnection and interoperability across all brands and terminals. Especially in the field of AI, it continues the eight major one-language AI capabilities of Honor Magic V5. That is, “One language PPT, one language Programming, one language Search, one language transmission, one language Taxi, one language object recognition, one language screen viewing, one language memory”.
