Igeekphone reported on March 19th that ASUS ROG released the 2026 model Strix G16/G18 gaming laptops earlier this week and announced that the flagship model Strix SCAR 18 will be launched later this year.
Although the ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2026) is currently only shown with some renderings on the ASUS official website, by comparing the specifications, it can be observed that its core specifications have been entered into the system.

The 2026 model ROG Strix SCAR 18 weighs 3.73kg, an increase of 430g compared to the 2025 model; its thickness has also increased from 32mm to 35mm; in addition, its original power adapter has been upgraded from 380W to 450W. These three changes suggest that the new version of ROG Strix SCAR 18 will have a more powerful performance release capability.
This game console is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU. It has two DDR5-6400 SO-DIMM memory slots, provides two M.2 slots that support PCIe Gen5, and is equipped with a UHD+ (3840×2400) 240Hz Mini LED screen.
