YOYO Experience
In the era of AI PCs, the HONOR Notebook X Plus series introduces the new YOYO AI agent, upgrading from a basic voice assistant to a full system-level smart manager.
1. Magic Vision
Magic Vision brings a redesigned AI desktop interface that refreshes the traditional Windows layout. A new Dock bar at the bottom makes it easier to access frequently used apps and preview content quickly.
You can also activate YOYO smart search by using a three-finger touchpad gesture. Overall, the interface feels smoother, with more fluid window animations and better multitasking flow.
Although it is currently in beta on select 2025 models, HONOR plans a wider rollout for 2024–2026 devices via OTA updates once optimization is complete.
2. Global AI Services
YOYO Assistant runs on a local AI model and supports voice control, document summarization, and intelligent search.
In everyday use, the screenshot text extraction feature stands out. It lets you copy text directly from images without manual typing.
AI translation is also built in, removing the need to switch apps, just highlight text for instant translation.
Overall, these tools feel practical and integrated, helping with file searches, document handling, and information sorting without unnecessary complexity.
3. System Expert
HONOR also includes a “User Expert” feature that simplifies system troubleshooting. It can diagnose issues like blue screens, system lag, or driver errors and suggest quick fixes automatically.
Instead of searching forums or guides, users get direct solutions within the system.
This makes maintenance easier and saves time, especially for students and office users who want a smoother, hassle-free computing experience.
Conclusion
After testing the Honor Notebook X16 Plus, the main takeaway is simple: it feels worry-free. It stays lightweight at 1.66kg without feeling fragile. The 16-inch display is large but still easy to carry. Its AI features are present but stay simple and practical.
Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 325 with 52W performance, it handles daily office work and light creative tasks smoothly. The matte 16-inch screen with Honor Oasis eye protection is comfortable for long use. The 80Wh battery delivers up to around 20 hours in real-world use, and 65W fast charging plus PPS reverse charging means one charger is enough for most situations.
Its biggest strength is durability. It’s SGS-certified for reliability, has an IPX2 water-resistant keyboard that can handle accidental spills, and a reinforced body tested for extreme stress. With HONOR Turbo X optimization, it also stays smooth over time with slower battery wear.
There are compromises. The integrated graphics are fine for everyday use but not suited for heavy gaming or professional-grade video editing. The FHD display option also has average color performance, so users needing accurate colors should consider the QHD version.
Overall, the Honor X16 Plus is a strong choice for students and office users who want a large screen, portability, long battery life, and high durability in one device.
Ultrabooks are no longer just about being thin and light, they also need to be tough. The Honor Notebook X16 Plus reflects that shift. It focuses less on flashy design and more on reliable, everyday use you don’t have to worry about.
