Igeekphone reported on May 19th that Fang Fei, the product line president of Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., posted a message stating that the staff of ARR I (Aley) is about to visit the Honor Imaging Laboratory.
According to an earlier report by Igeekphone, in March this year, Honor held a global launch event at MWC 2026 and announced a strategic technical cooperation with the top film camera manufacturer ARRI. This cooperation will be the first to be implemented in the world’s first robot phone, aiming to integrate Honor’s mobile imaging technology and ARRI’s century-old film photography techniques.
Currently, this “mobile robot” called Robot Phone is still in the preparation stage. However, the CEO of Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., Li Jian, announced on May 15th that Robot Phone will be launched in the third quarter. The arrival of the staff from ARRI Ale may collaborate with the staff of Honor Imaging Laboratory to jointly fine-tune the imaging capabilities of Robot Phone.
