Lenovo is preparing its first laptop built for Google’s new Googlebook platform, and the full specifications of the Lenovo Googlebook 15 have reportedly surfaced ahead of its expected launch this autumn.
The laptop is positioned as a premium Googlebook model and combines an Intel Panther Lake processor platform, a high-resolution OLED touchscreen, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and several hardware features designed around the Google ecosystem. Lenovo has not yet confirmed the official price.
Lenovo is expanding beyond its traditional laptop lineup with the Googlebook 15, a model designed around Google’s newer computing ecosystem.
Lenovo Googlebook 15 specifications
According to the leaked specifications, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 will feature Intel’s Core Ultra 5 325 processor. The chip is based on the Panther Lake architecture and is reportedly manufactured using Intel’s 18A process.
The processor is listed with 8 cores and 8 threads, consisting of four performance cores and four low-power efficiency cores. It can reach a maximum turbo frequency of 4.5GHz and includes 12MB of cache. Graphics are handled by an integrated Xe3 GPU, while the processor’s NPU is rated at up to 47 TOPS for AI workloads.
The laptop is also expected to offer two memory configurations: 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options are reportedly available in 256GB and 512GB capacities.
15.3-inch 120Hz OLED touchscreen
The display is one of the main highlights of the Googlebook 15.
Lenovo is reportedly equipping the laptop with a 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen featuring a 2880 × 1800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and can reach a peak brightness of 500 nits.
The combination of OLED technology, a high resolution and 120Hz refresh rate should make the laptop suitable for both productivity and media consumption. The display also uses narrow bezels, although the camera area creates a small protrusion at the top.
Google-focused keyboard and design
Lenovo appears to be giving the Googlebook 15 several design details specifically aimed at Google’s ecosystem.
The bottom row of the keyboard reportedly includes a dedicated Google “G” key positioned between the Fn and Alt keys. The laptop also features a multi-color LED strip called Glowbar along the upper section of the lid. This lighting element can reportedly provide information about battery and charging status.
The touchpad uses a large glass surface with tactile feedback and measures approximately 150 × 95mm. The palm rest also carries Googlebook branding.
Fingerprint and facial authentication
Security features are another area where the Googlebook 15 goes beyond a basic laptop configuration.
The power button is expected to include a fingerprint reader, while the laptop also reportedly has hardware designed to support Google’s facial authentication system.
For video calls, the machine uses a 5-megapixel RGB camera paired with dual microphones. A physical privacy shutter is included, giving users a simple way to block the camera when it is not needed.
Audio is handled by a four-speaker system with support for Dolby Atmos.
Ports and connectivity
Despite its relatively slim body, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 reportedly provides a useful selection of ports.
The current specifications list:

- One USB Type-A port
- One HDMI 2.0 port
- One 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack
Wireless connectivity is expected to include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, giving the laptop access to newer wireless standards.
The Googlebook 15 is also relatively portable for a 15-inch machine. Its reported weight is approximately 1.29kg, while the chassis measures around 15.9mm thick.
70Wh battery with up to 11 hours of runtime
The laptop reportedly packs a 70Wh battery, with Lenovo targeting up to 11 hours of battery life under its stated testing conditions.
Actual runtime will naturally depend on factors such as display brightness, refresh rate, applications, wireless connectivity and workload, so the final battery performance should be evaluated after the laptop reaches retail availability.
What is Googlebook?
Googlebook represents Google’s attempt to create a laptop category positioned above traditional Chromebooks.
The platform was introduced by Google in May and is designed to combine Google’s software ecosystem with deeper Gemini AI and Android integration. Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo are among the manufacturers expected to participate in the new platform.
