Before some days a friend of mine bought one of the latest Xiaomi mobiles, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A. I was really very curious to see what this little mobile can really do. So I arranged to have for some hours to test it. I must say that I was very pleasantly amazed from it! So let us see what I saw in Xiaomi Redmi 4A!
The order was made at Banggood, where they still have it in Flash sales and at a very low price. I preferred Banggood, because using the Priority Direct Mail as a service, it doesn’t pass customs. The mobile came really very fast and in about 2 week it was in the hands of his new owner. The mobile came in the usual protective bag with bubbles, in order not to have any accidents. Of course the whole procedure of unboxing and first boot was recorded and you can see it in the video at the end of this article.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A came inside a white luxurious box, as the latest mobiles and gadgets from Xiaomi come. On top of the box, you can see the 4A to capture the whole area. At the back of the box, you can find a sticker with the IMEI, S/N and other important information about the Redmi 4A. At the side of the box, we can see written in Chinese Redmi 4A. Opening the box, inside we can find the Xiaomi Redmi 4A Smartphone, a USB Cable, a US Charger and a small manual in Chinese as and the pin for opening the sim tray.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a 5″ display, with 1280 x 720 pixel screen resolution and 296 ppi, You can find it in three colors, gold, pink gold and grey. The dimensions of the Redmi 4A are 139.5 x 70.4 x 8.5mm and weights 131.5g. The back cover is made out of very good quality of plastic in order to keep as low the cost of the mobile.
Inside the Xiaomi Redmi 4A we will find the 64bit quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 MSM8917, with ARM Cortex-A53 clocking up to 1.4 GHz. For the graphics, the Qualcomm Adreno 308 does a very good job. The mobile comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded through SD card with 128GB more. Redmi 4A came with Global Stable MIUI 8 installed, but I guess in some days the MIUI 9 will come out and for this model.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a 13MP main camera on the back and f/2.2. The camera has Dual LED, while it supports automatic focus, digital zoom, HDR ISO Settings, manual focus, panoramic photos, and Scene mode. The front camera comes with a 5MP resolution. The Xiaomi Redmi 4Α is a Dual SIM Card Dual Standby mobile if you use two sims. But if you want to expand your internal storage, then you will have to loose the one sim tray, since in it’s place is where the SD card is placed. The Redmi 4A supports also ΒΤ 4.1,802.11 b/g/n and WiFi Direct. As for the battery, the Redmi 4A is equipped with a 3120mAh battery that can keep your mobile up and running for at least one day.
As you can see in the images and in the video presentation, finally the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is a very good mobile for it’s money! For me, coming from the Xiaomi Mi5S plus, at some moments looked a little bit slow, but I guess it will be very unfair to compare the Snapdragon 425 with the Snapdragon 821! So the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is a very good mobile. Also if you think that you can grab it now at the flash sales of Banggood for only 97.99$, that’s less from 100$, this is a really bargain! So go over there while they last, but don’t wait to much, as the available pieces get less and less!
