Starting from Xiaomi with Mi Mix, one company after the other try to show their full screen mobile, but at a reasonable price. Blackview is one of these companies that wanted to show their full screen version mobile, the Blackview S8.
Blackview S8 came to me from Gearbest, from their warehouse in China. Well protected, came with post. Opening the protected bag, came across a big withe box that was square. On the top side on the one side was printed the S8 logo and in the middle was written the word Blackview. he box looked very nice and luxurious.Inside the box, except from the S8, it was also included Earphones, Power Adapter, USB Cable, Screen Protector, OTG Cable, English Manual. Earphones Adapter, Phone Holder and a TPU Case.
I have to admit so many extra gadgets for my mobile, haven’t met other time. I really liked and the holder and the OTG cable. The EU adapter that I as send from the company, supports quick charge.
Blackview S8 comes with a 5.7 inch screen, LCD IPS with screen resolution 720 x 1440 px and 2.5D curved glass screen. The dimensions of the S8 are 71.9 x 154.0 x 8.5 mm and weights 190 gr. You can find it in black, blue, golden. The mobile has a metal frame.
The Blackview S8 is equipped with the 64bits octacore MediaTek MT6750T, with 4x 1.5 GHz ARM-A53 Cortex – 4x 1.0 GHz ARM-A53 Cortex clocked up to 1.5 GHz. For the graphics is equipped with the ARM Mali-T860 MP2. Th S8 has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded with an other 128GB and become 192GB in total. Runs Android 7.0 Nougat installed from the factory. When I opened the mobile, I found there was an update, which I downloaded.
The Blackview S8 comes with 4 (!) cameras. Yes you read correctly the number, four cameras! The two main camera on the back are 13.0MP + 0.3MP and the front camera are 8.0MP ( SW 13.0MP ) + 0.3MP. I have taken some pictures with the app of the camera and the open camera from playstore.
I have to say I loved the bokeh effect that I cold have with the app of the camera and the very good and vivid colors I had mainly with the open camera. Check the following samples as I got them with the two apps.
The camera takes really very good pictures during the day. During the night works as all android mobiles that have a good camera. On the back we can find the fingerprint sensor. The mobile also supports all media files, all video files. Supports 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi. Takes 1 nano SIM and 1 micro SIM and supports B20 frequency.
The Blackview S8 has a Lithium-ion Polymer Battery of 3180mAh, which is non removable. Running Antutu, the mobile got 43696, which is not bad for its specs.
