Huawei has launched MediaPad M5 8 and MediaPad M5 and M5 Pro Android tablets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. These are premium tablets that sport attractive design and are packed with high-end specs.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Specifications and Variants
MediaPad M5 comes in 8.4-inch and 10.8-inch display sizes. These tablet feature IPS LCD display that carry support for 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. According to Huawei, the MediaPad M5 devices are the first tablets to come with 2.5D curved glass layer for their display. The MediaPad M5 has a metal unibody design. The edges of the tablet are reinforced in order to protect the display. The MediaPad M5 10 has pogo pins through which an optional keyboard can be connected to use the device as a 2-in-1 laptop-tablet hybrid.
The Kirin 960 chipset that powered the Mate 9 and P10 flagship phones is present under the hood of MediaPad M5. The M5 is loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo and EMUI 8.0. It includes 4 GB of RAM and come in multiple storage options. The MediaPad M5 has 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It is also equipped with a microSD card slot.
The M5 8.4 has a 5,100mAh battery and stereo speakers whereas the larger model has 7,500mAh battery and Harmon/Kardon speakers. The MediaPad M5 Pro sports the same specs as MediaPad M5 10. However, it comes bundled with M-Pen stylus.
Huawei MediaPad M5 Pricing and Availability
The coming spring will be see the MediaPad M6 arriving in markets like Europe, North America, China, the Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB MediaPad M5 8.4 Wi-Fi only variants cost 350 euros, 400 euros and 450 euros and their respective LTE models cost 400 euros, 450 euros and 500 euros.
The 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB Huawei MediaPad M5 10.8 variants cost 400 euros, 450 euros and 500 euros whereas their LTE models are priced at 450 euros, 500 euros and 550 euros. The MediaPad M5 10.8 Pro’s 64 GB and 128Wi-Fi and LTE variants respectively cost 500 euros/550 euros and 550 euros/600 euros.
