After the successful success of OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T (the first smartphone of the Chinese company to have a screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a borderless design), the efforts of developers are focusing on the first device that will be launched in 2018: the One Plus 6. The smartphone will be presented by June, the month in which OnePlus usually presents its device.
For the OnePlus 6, the company would seem willing to change the design of the device and adopt a solution similar to the one on the iPhone X. In fact, from some images leaked on Chinese social networks, the device should have the notch, the recess at the top of the screen where will find the infrared sensor for three-dimensional scanning of the face. A feature very similar to that of the TrueDepth Camera of the iPhone X.
The next smartphone OnePlus should once again integrate a fingerprint reader on the back, as on the OnePlus 5T, but smaller. The dual sensor would also change position and be vertical and centered. Another important element, the OnePlus 6 would sport a glass dress, a first for the manufacturer.
OnePlus has accustomed us to a technical sheet worthy of the best smartphones on the market. The OnePlus 6 should not escape the rule. The next integrated high-end processor of the brand would be the Snapdragon 845, SoC that will probably be mounted on almost all the new top of the range coming in 2018. A recent Antutu benchmark revealed that the OnePlus 6 had a score of 276510. This is the highest score ever recorded. Even the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S does not reach this score (273741). Still, this leak is not official and it should, therefore, be welcomed with caution.
The 5.99-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 will have a QuadHD + resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. Still continuing with the front panel, as the rumors suggest, will be surrounded by very thin edges, so as to highlight the display.
The smartphone could be launched in two versions: one with 6GB of RAM and one with 8GB. The OnePlus 6 will have 64GB or 128GB of internal storage space and it also will be equipped with 3900mAh battery, the overall performance is definitely one of the top Android flagships this year. The operating system should be Android 8.0 Oreo.
Regarding the price, OnePlus is known for offering its smartphones at low rates. But as the years go by, each new model is a little bit more expensive than the previous one. In 2017, the OnePlus 5 was launched at a price of $612.11. It is not impossible that with new integrated technologies and higher components, the final price will be slightly higher. The price of OnePlus 6 could be slightly over $600.
