It has been over a year since the release of Xiaomi Mi 6, but the Xiaomi Mi 7 has not been officially announced yet. The Mi 7 is not expected to come from Xiaomi, but the company is preparing to keep it alive with a revised version of the Mi 6. The expected Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to be a transition phone between Mi 6 and Mi 7 and was seen receiving certification from TENAA recently.
The first details about the features of Mi 6X also appeared with the appearance in TENAA. The 5.15-inch screen in the 16: 9 aspect ratio on the Mi 6 is replaced by a 5.99-inch screen in the 18: 9 ratio on the Mi 6X. The phone is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor and will likely use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Chipset with 4 GB or 6 GB RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB internal area. Not yet known whether Xiaomi provides MicroSD slot on the newest device to expand its storage space.
Another important change between the two phones was about cameras. While the phone has a 20MP + 16MP dual camera on the back, the selfie camera has been upgraded to 20MP. In addition, the phone’s rear camera is positioned vertically and a design resembling the iPhone X is preferred. Another advantage of Xiaomi MI 6X is the operating system it carries, which is already running on Android OS 8.0 Oreo. Meanwhile, as a provision of battery power supply with a capacity of 2910 mAh.
The overall is still very good, very worth the user to look forward to, there is a small regret that this product does not support NFC. Xiaomi 6X will be released on April 20, 2018.
