Recently, Xiaomi revealed that they will hold a new product launch event on May 10th. Yesterday, Chinese company officially confirmed through Weibo that they will launch smartphone Redmi S2 on May 10. In addition, Redmi S2 will be Xiaomi’s first new Redmi S smartphone.
In recent years, Oppo and Vivo have launched several smartphones focused on selfie photography. It is likely that Xiaomi’s new Redmi S will include low-cost smartphones that focus on selfie photography. Therefore, Redmi S2 is rumored to have a front camera up to 16MP and integrated AI supports the best way.
In the poster, Redmi S2 appeared on the hands of actor Liu Haoran. The rear design of the phone is similar to what was revealed in TENAA’s documentation. The metal body, U-band antenna at the top and bottom and the back shell feature 12MP + 8MP dual cameras at the top-left corner.
There are a lot of different rumors about Redmi S2 camera and next week everything is confirmed. The back of the Smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone will be equipped with a 5.99-inch IPS-screen with a resolution of 1440 by 720 pixels (HD +) and an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The Snapdragon 625 processor comes with various options for RAM and storage, including: 2GB RAM + 16GB, 3GB RAM + 32GB and 4GB RAM + 64GB. Other specifications include 3080mAh battery, Android Oreo 8.1 with a MIUI9 interface.

The price of the Xiaomi Redmi S2 is very reasonable. Recently leaked images show that this smartphone will be available for around $175 in Vietnam market.
