On November 5th, Igeekphone reported that DJI released a teaser poster, announcing that it will launch a major new product on November 13th, with the theme of “Fleeting Moments in a Small Space”. If there are no unexpected circumstances, it will be the Action 6 action camera.
Judging from the poster, the variable aperture lens it is equipped with is expected to break through the performance bottleneck of current action cameras in light and shadow shooting.
Unlike the fixed f/2.8 aperture of the previous generation product, it is reported that the new product supports f/2.0-f/4 aperture adjustment, which can be flexibly switched according to the shooting scene.
In addition to the aperture upgrade, the leak also indicates that the DJI Action 6 Action camera will be equipped with a 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor, with a 40% larger light-sensitive area compared to the Action 5 Pro.
In fact, this CMOS is exactly the square one that was used in the DJI OSMO 360 Panoramic camera before. Judging from the promotional slogan “Fleeting Moments in a Square Inch”, it seems to be confirmed.

In terms of video capabilities: The DJI Action 6 action camera supports 8K/30fps (HDR+ProRes encoding), 5.3K/60fps, and 4K/120fps high frame rate recording, enhancing the ability to capture dynamic details.
The leak also claims that it is equipped with a brand-new 1950mAh battery and can record 4K videos for 4 hours.
