Igeekphone News, November 24th: On November 20th, technology media DroneXL published a blog post reporting that DJI’s first panoramic drone, Avata 360, passed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification in the United States on November 19th, clearing the regulatory obstacles for its market launch in the United States.
According to FCC documents and leaked information, the DJI Avata 360 (model DVN3NT) is DJI’s first consumer-grade drone that combines 8K 360-degree panoramic video shooting and traditional FPV racing flight functions. Its core innovation lies in a 90-degree rotatable camera module, allowing the pilot to operate it with one click. Switch freely between immersive panoramic shooting and forward FPV flight modes.

This drone weighs approximately 377 grams and is equipped with dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors, supporting 8K/50fps panoramic video and 4K/120fps standard video. Meanwhile, its battery capacity has been increased to 38.67Wh, with an expected flight time of up to 25 minutes. It also adopts OcuSync 4.0 video transmission technology, with a maximum transmission distance of up to 20 kilometers.
It is reported that after the launch of Avata 360, it will directly compete with Insta360’s Antigravity A1 drone, which is scheduled to be released in August 2025. The biggest design difference between the two products lies in the camera system.

The Yingling Antigravity A1 adopts a dual fisheye lens solution fixed on the body, while leaked information shows that the DJI Avata 360 innovatively installed a 360-degree camera on a rotating gimbal. This design can theoretically offer a more stable and flexible shooting perspective, which may become its core competitive advantage.

In terms of pricing, it is widely predicted that DJI will refer to the price of its competitor Antigravity A1 to formulate a highly competitive sales strategy. It is expected that the price range of the standard package (including the drone and the controller) will be between $1,099 and $1,299. (Note: Igeekphone) The current exchange rate is approximately 7,825 to 9,249 yuan.
