Igeekphone News, November 7th: The source @chunvn8888 posted a tweet on the X platform yesterday (November 6th), revealing details of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra flagship phone. In terms of imaging hardware, it has upgraded to a 3x optical zoom lens, and in terms of charging, it supports 60W.
In terms of imaging hardware, sources indicate that the Galaxy S26 Ultra basically follows the configuration plan of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Igeekphone has attached the relevant configuration as follows:
A 200-megapixel HP2 main camera
50-megapixel JN3 ultra-wide-angle lens
A 50-megapixel IMX854 5x periscope telephoto lens
A 12-megapixel S5K3LD 3x sensor
A 12-megapixel IMX874 selfie camera
The source said the only hardware change came from the 3x optical zoom lens. Samsung plans to replace the current 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens with a 12-megapixel S5K3LD sensor. However, technology media smartprix believes that although the pixel count has increased by 20%, the improvement in actual imaging performance is expected to be relatively limited.
This mobile phone will also be equipped with Samsung’s brand-new APV (Advanced Professional Video) codec, which can significantly reduce the size of video files without sacrificing picture quality. It is reported that the APV HQ mode consumes approximately 1.5GB of files per minute for 4K video, while the APV LQ mode with lower picture quality consumes approximately 750MB of files.
In terms of charging, sources say that the Galaxy S26 Ultra phone adopts a brand-new PPS charging solution. It is estimated that the official promotion supports 60W charging. During the actual charging process, it will start at 55W in the 0-15% charging stage and stabilize at 45W in the 15-70% charging stage.
Compared with Samsung’s existing 45W charging solution, the power is less than 45W during the 0-20% charging stage and drops to 34W during the 20-35% charging stage. Subsequently, as the battery temperature rises and the charging volume increases, the power will further decrease.
