The cutout at the top of the screen, which first appeared on the iPhone X, causes mixed opinions among users: some consider it ugly, others see it as a practical necessity. Nevertheless, many manufacturers took this brand as a fashion trend.
The Chinese manufacturer of smartphones Oppo decided to conquer the market the sexiest neckline that was ever used in smartphones. Oppo F9 will feature a tiny Notch, in which a camera with AI and a speaker will be placed. In this case, the cutout will be part of the design, while simultaneously allocating the phone among competitors.
Oppo even came up with their own name for this tiny Notch. Because of the tiny size, only the front camera module fit on it, and the conversational speaker had to be placed on the very edge. This cutout allows you to use 90.8% of the screen space. It is reported that the OPPO F9 is equipped with a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen. The screen was named Waterdrop Screen.
The smartphone will also receive VOOC Flash Charge, which, according to Oppo, will charge the smartphone 4 times faster than standard charging: thanks to it, a 3500 mAh battery is charged 50% in 30 minutes.
Inside the Oppo F9, the MediaTek Helio P60 processor will be used, which includes 8 cores (4 × Cortex-A73 and 4 × Cortex-A53) with a clock speed of 2 GHz and a 3-core Mali-G72 MP3 graphics accelerator. In the basic configuration, the smartphone is equipped with 4GB of RAM and64 GB of flash memory. Improved modification means 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
Oppo F9 will also receive a 16MP module with a f / 1.85 fx and an auxiliary 2MP sensor. And at the heart of the front camera is a 25MP Sony IMX576 sensor and a lens with a f / 2.0 aperture. Among other features: a fingerprint reader on the rear panel, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an Android 8.1 Oreo operating system based on Color OS 5.2. It is worth mentioning that the rumored OPPO F9 also supports the Under-Screen fingerprint unlock function.
The Oppo F9 will receive a beautiful back cover in 2 colors: Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. The official introduction of the news is already on August 15 and the price should be an affordable smartphone, which should be sold for 2353 yuan (about $343). Chinese people show that even inconspicuous details can be transformed into something interesting.
