This morning, the date of the announcement of the new Honor smartphone – Honor 8A has become known. The budget novelty, going to replace the popular model Honor 7A, will be presented on January 8, but now you can appreciate its design – the source published the official renders.
Honor 8A has nothing in common with its predecessor: the frames are noticeably reduced, the front camera is in the drop-shaped cut-out of the screen, and the speaker grille is hidden under the frame. The back panel is also decorated differently, more modern: the only 13MP module is located in the round neckline.
Due to the fact that the Honor 8A has already been tested TENAA, the characteristics of the model are known in sufficient detail. The device received a screen with a diagonal of 6.09 inches with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels, the amount of RAM was 3GB, the built-in flash memory was 64GB (but in the initial version it will be 32GB).
The interesting thing is that the rumors were attributed to the SoC Kirin 710, but according to the DroidShout, the device uses the MediaTek Helio P35 single-chip platform which clock frequency is 2.3GHz, equipped with IMG GE8320 graphics processor, the highest frequency is 680MHz. If so, then the Honor 8A will be the world’s second smartphone on the Helio P35 after Xiaomi Play.
The front camera module is represented by an 8MP image sensor and an F / 2.0 aperture lens. The main module consists of a sensor with a resolution of the 13MP lens with an aperture of F / 1.8. There will be no fingerprint scanner in this model, so the front camera will perform biometric identification functions.
In the Honor 8A configuration, there is a slot for microSD memory cards, a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 2920mAh and a pre-installed Android 9.0 Pie OS with an EMUI 9.0 interface. The price of this low range is still a mystery, but we are not officially known, it will be released with different color versions, such as blue, black, gold and red.
