Design
UMIDIGI A5 Pro design is strongly based on the competition from Huawei. The vertical orientation of the Umidigi logo and the division of the triple camera are reminiscent of last year’s P20 Pro. The light blue-blue-violet color of the back of the glass is from the new P30 Pro and is called “Breathing Crystal” there. But all this gives the A5 Pro a modern design, which pleases me personally – true to the motto “better copied well than bad self-made”.
The UMIDIGI A5 Pro sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ In-cell LTPS display with a water-drop notch and 2,280 x 1,080p resolution. Its display and rear panel are both protected by a 2.5D curved glass. With a tiny water-drop notch, the handset achieves a 92.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware
The main change in the new smartphone is the processor. The UMIDIGI A5 Pro works on the Helio P23 processor. It is a new entry-level processor from MediaTek. As you will recall, the UMIDIGI F1 runs on the Helio P60 and UMIDIGI Power runs on the Helio P35 which all offers much better performance.
