ASUS has released a 6Z smartphone for the Indian market, in many respects identical to the unusual ASUS Zenfone 6 – there is even a PTZ camera that can work as a rear and front camera. The device is equipped with a 6.46-inch LCD Full HD + (2340 × 1080) without cut-outs, with narrow frames, a screen-to-face ratio of 92%, brightness of 600 nits, support for HDR10 and Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Protective glass 855 with 6 or 8GB of RAM LPDDR4X and pre-installed Android 9.0 OS (Pie) with ZenUI 6 shell (updates to Android Q and R are guaranteed in the future).
The camera is a combination of a conventional f / 1.79 lens with a 48MPl IMX586 Quad Bayer sensor and a wide-angle 125-degree f / 2.4 with a 13MP sensor. Supports 4K / 60p video recording. The folding chamber unit is made of Liquid Metal alloy, which is lighter than stainless steel and 4 times stronger. The camera will automatically close if the user drops the phone, and the number of mechanic actuation is 100,000 times.
ASUS 6Z is a different fingerprint scanner on the back and a special smart key that can be configured. The back panel is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3D glass, the phone is equipped with a sturdy aluminum frame, slots for two SIM cards and microSD memory cards, and is equipped with a 5000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 high-speed charging technology (the 18-volt charger is included).
The built-in storage capacity of 64, 128 or 256GB is made according to the UFS 2.1 standard. The dimensions are 159.1 × 75.4 × 9.2 mm with a weight of 190 grams. There are two microphones, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, Dual 4G VoLTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C port. A curious feature for the flagship is the built-in FM radio.
ASUS 6Z comes in black and silver colors at a price of INR 31,999 ($460) for 6/64 GB RAM, INR 34,999 ($500) for 6/128GB and INR 39,999 ($575) for 8 / 256GB. Smartphones will go on sale in the online store Flipkart, starting from 26 June.
