When it comes to Huawei‘s 5G phone, in addition to the upcoming Mate X, there is also the Mate 20 X 5G version that has appeared on many occasions. As for the 5G Smartphone of Huawei, it seems that it will soon be in China.
Today on the Weibo, Huawei has announced that 5G version of Mate 20 X has obtained China’s first 5G terminal telecom equipment license. The image shows that the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G version supports the SA/NSA 5G network.
The “network access license” is mandatory for telecommunication equipment in China. This obligatory license is applicable to telecommunication equipment which is connected to the public telecommunication network. A few days ago, Huawei Mate 20 X 5G has already received its 3C certificate, and a Huawei official revealed that Huawei could launch this phone as soon as July 2019.
Huawei Mate 20X 5G uses a combination of Kirin 980 processor + Balong 5000 5G baseband, battery capacity reduced to 4200mAh (standard version is 5000mAh), equipped with 40W fast charge, only one 8GB memory + 256GB Storage version along with a triple camera of 40MP f / 1.8 + 20MP f / 2.2 (wide-angle lens) + 8MP f / 2.4 (so-called telephoto lens) with PDAF, laser autofocus and AIS, while on the front a single 24MP camera with f / 2.0 aperture.
This phone also takes aim at the Galaxy Note 9 with support for pen input; the device will be offered alongside Huawei’s ‘M Pen’ stylus, that offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The Mate 20 X 5G is expected to land first on China Unicom, which has announced the price tag of 12800 yuan ($1882) for this 5G phone but some of the company’s official says this price will change when the phone actually be released in the market.
