A couple of weeks ago, on the occasion of the official presentation of MIUI 12 , Xiaomi had announced that 22 smartphones would be supported by the new ROM. Now the Chinese giant has revised its plans, adding 10 more models that will receive the MIUI 12 developer version of the new ROM over the next few weeks.
At the moment in fact only the first 22 models are therefore ready to receive the China Developer version, dedicated to the public, of MIUI while for the 10 models added today it is necessary to bring a little more patience. In the past few days, the first Closed Bets had been released, reserved as usual for those enrolled in the beta program.
These are the first 22 devices that will begin to receive the first development version today: Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, Xiaomi CC9, Xiaomi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition, Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Transparent Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, Xiaomi Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, Xiaomi Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi 6X, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, Xiaomi Mi Max 3, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Redmi Mi Note 5 and Xiaomi Mi Note 3.
Instead, the owners of the following devices will have to wait a few days: Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition, Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G, Xiaomi CC9 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7, for which some closed beta are still available.
MIUI 12 Features
Xiaomi MIUI 12 brings various new features and enhancements like new design animations with real-time light and shadow effects using MIUI Light Cone Motion Effect Architecture. The new layered Dynamic Icons generates real-time feedback based on speed and direction.
Other features include a new Control Center instead of quick settings panel, improved navigation gestures, app drawer, live wallpapers, floating windows, enhanced dark mode, Mi Share, and much more. MIUI 12 emphasis the privacy features to secure user data.
