After confirming that it would launch the next generation of its gamer smartphone in July, today ASUS finally announced the date of its third generation gamer smartphones through invitations sent to the ASUS ROG Phone 3 launch event, which will be held on July 22.
The launch event “ROG 2020 Game Changer” for ASUS ROG Phone 3 as expected will be online due to the new coronavirus pandemic, at 11 pm in Taiwan, at 5 pm local time in Italy and at 11 am in the USA. As the company revealed in June, the ROG Phone 3 will again have a version of Tencent.
Recently, the device appeared at TENAA with all its specifications and images. The smartphone is believed to be one of the first to bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+, just like last year.
The information is seen in TENAA about the Asus ROG Phone 3 points to a 6.59-inch FullHD + AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and support for HDR10 +. In addition, the screen can bring an integrated fingerprint reader under the screen.
The Asus ROG Phone 3 has a 13MP front camera. And now, in its third generation, the rear set of cameras is triple. Bringing a 64MP main camera, super wide-angle camera, and a third camera not yet defined. To complement the processing of Asus’ third-generation gamer smartphone, variants of up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and internal 512GB UFS3.0 are expected.

ASUS is now teasing a specific date on its ROG Phone 3 site: a “new game starts” in 20 days and 15 hours (at the time of writing). That works out to July 22 at 10 AM, ET.
