Asus has announced two new Chromebook laptops, called the Chromebook Flip CM3 and the Chromebook Detachable CM3. Both use MediaTek processors, and prices start at $329.99.
The Asus Chromebook Flip CM3
The Asus Chromebook Flip CM3 has a 1366 x 912 resolution display and a 360-degree hinge that can be used as either a regular laptop or a tablet. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT8183C processor, an ARM Mali-G72 GPU, and has 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage that can be expanded to 1TB via a microSD card.
In addition, the device has a built-in 720p camera above the display, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 support, a USB 2.0 Type-C and USB 2.0 Type-A ports, an audio jack, A stereo speaker, and a digital array microphone. In addition, the device has a 32Wh battery that lasts 16 hours.
Asus Chromebook Detachable M3
The Asus Chromebook Detachable M3 notebook is a Detachable version of the Chromebook Flip CM3. The device’s keyboard cover is magnetically-attached and has a detachable folding stand behind it that holds the device in place from multiple angles. The Chromebook Detachable M3 display features a 10.5-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution multi-touch panel with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The device is 7.9mm thick and features an all-in-one body made of mineral grey aluminium with black matte diamond cut edges.
The device is powered by a MediaTek MTK8183 processor and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. It has a USB 2.0 Type-C port and an audio jack. The keyboard is connected via a Pogo Pin interface. The device also has dual stereo speakers and a 2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera. In addition, the device has a 27Wh battery that lasts for 12 hours.

The Asus Chromebook Flip CM3 laptop starts at $329.99 and the Asus Chromebook Detachable M3 starts at $349.99, includes stand and keyboard. In addition, both models will come with a 12-month 100GB Google One subscription.
