The latest information of Xiaomi community shows that the recruitment of new version of MIUI based on Android 13 has launched for Mi 12, MI 12 Pro and Redmi K50G. Users who are already in the open beta of the development version can go to the community testing center – open beta channel to apply for the development version.
It should be noted that due to the major version of Android upgrade, the new version may have strong instability, so the number of recruitment is small.
According to xiaomi’s previous announcement, starting with Android 13-based MIUI, MIUI will focus on both “development” and “official” versions. Among them, the MIUI development version will be updated every week, and the official version will be updated according to user usage. The development and official versions will gradually switch between versions without wiping data.

Android 13 was officially unveiled at Google’s I/O Developer conference in May. Later, Xiaomi officially announced that the Mi 12, Mi 12 Pro, Mi Pad 5 and Redmi K50 Pro will be the first to support Android 13 Beta 1. At the time, the new OS was the native Android 13 Beta system pack, not the MIUI version.
