Xiaomi appears to be preparing several new smartphones for an early 2027 release. Four previously unannounced devices have passed China’s State Radio Regulation of China (SRRC) certification, according to information reported this week.
The model numbers are M016EB, M841EE, M077CE, and M540BF. Chinese tech blogger @Experience more has indicated that these devices are expected to arrive in early 2027, although their commercial names and individual product positioning have not yet been revealed.
The certification activity suggests that Xiaomi is moving forward with preparations for its next smartphone lineup.
Xiaomi has already been expanding its system-level AI features, as discussed in our report on HyperOS 4’s cross-device chat synchronization for Super XiaoAI.
Four Xiaomi Devices Receive SRRC Approval
The four model numbers appeared in China’s SRRC certification records earlier this week. While the listings do not disclose complete hardware specifications, they provide an early indication that Xiaomi is preparing additional devices for the market.
At this stage, it remains unclear whether the four models belong to one product family or represent several different smartphone series. Xiaomi has not officially announced their names, prices, or launch schedules.
One notable detail in the certification information is that the devices are associated with registrations for Xiaomi’s own on-device AI models and services.

Xiaomi’s On-Device AI Capabilities Draw Attention
According to the reported certification details, the new devices support several Xiaomi-related AI model registrations. The listed filing numbers include:
- Beijing-XiaoAiTongXueAIZhuShou-20240102
- Beijing-XiaoMi-202404280002
- Beijing-XiaoMiPengPaiShiJue-202503180057
- Beijing-XiaoMiPengPaiGanZhi-202507250109
- Beijing-XiaomiMiMo-202601050182
These registrations cover services associated with Xiaomi’s AI assistant, Xiaomi AI, HyperOS visual capabilities, perception technologies, and Xiaomi MiMo.
Their presence points to continued investment in AI features that can operate on Xiaomi devices. However, certification records alone do not confirm which functions will be available to consumers, whether every model will support all listed services, or how the features will differ between devices.
More details about the software experience are likely to emerge closer to the products’ official announcements.

M016EB 5G Band Information Revealed
Among the four certified devices, the M016EB has attracted attention because its reported network configuration provides a closer look at supported 5G frequencies.
The device supports the following bands:
n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n41, and n78.
Notably, the listed configuration does not include China’s n79 5G band, which operates in the 4800–4900MHz range and is used as a supplementary 5G frequency by China Mobile.
This detail may matter to users who rely on specific carrier networks. However, the absence of n79 in the reported certification information should not automatically be interpreted as a complete picture of the device’s connectivity capabilities in every market. Final network support will depend on the retail version and its official specifications.
Several Smartphone Series Expected Before 2027
The same blogger also shared a broader outlook for upcoming smartphone releases from major Chinese manufacturers.
According to the report, the following product families are expected to appear during November and December:
- OPPO Reno17 series
- HONOR 700 series
- vivo S70 series
- Huawei Nova 17 series
The report also suggests that development of Xiaomi’s 18T series is progressing significantly ahead of the previous schedule.
These expected releases indicate that competition in China’s smartphone market could remain active toward the end of 2026 and into early 2027. Manufacturers are preparing new devices across different price segments, with AI capabilities, imaging features, and performance upgrades likely to remain important areas of competition.
What This Means for Xiaomi’s 2027 Smartphone Roadmap
The SRRC approvals provide an early glimpse of Xiaomi’s upcoming hardware plans, but they do not yet reveal the identities of the four smartphones. Their association with multiple AI model registrations is particularly interesting, suggesting that Xiaomi intends to continue integrating its own AI ecosystem into future devices.
For now, the M016EB, M841EE, M077CE, and M540BF remain certification model numbers rather than confirmed retail product names. More concrete information about their processors, cameras, battery capacities, pricing, and availability will be needed before their positioning becomes clear.
With an early 2027 release reportedly planned, further leaks and official announcements could reveal more about Xiaomi’s next smartphone generation in the coming months.
