Chuwi CoreBook X VS Minibook Comparison Review

    HabibBy HabibNovember 20, 2022
Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

The Chinese firm specializing in laptops that we define as “cheap” has announced the launch of the Chuwi CoreBook X. A model that will interest users looking for cheap laptops with some features that are available in a higher-priced laptop. and today we are comparing it with Chuwi Minibook which is a 360 mini notebook with decent features for daily life use. Let’s check out this comparison.

    Design

As always Chuwi has sought to assemble a truly compact and lightweight CoreBook X, albeit with an impressive finish. In this case, he has opted for an anodized aluminum structure that, in addition to a great finish, offers a lot of lightness. And it is that this laptop has a weight of just 1.5 kilograms.

The size of the Minibook is 201 x 128.6mm, which is 2.5 times smaller than standard 300 x 210mm laptops. In fact, the MiniBook looks less like a ‘big and heavy laptop, and more like a large phone, or phablet. We can keep it in our pockets and take it with us wherever we go. The Chuwi MiniBook also features a YOGA 360° design, which means we can turn our small notebook into an upright tablet in a matter of seconds. In fact, it equips a multifunctional keyboard, which we can use as a support to switch between “office mode” and entertainment mode.

    Display

Chuwi CoreBook X maintains a screen size of 14 inches with a most interesting panel, an IPS with 2K resolution (2160 x 1440 pixels), and a 3:2 aspect ratio that is more suitable than 16:9 for almost all computing tasks.

Chuwi Minibook has an IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, so it uses the currently widespread 16:10 format. The mini-book can also be used as a touchscreen convertible with a 360-degree hinge.

    Hardware

The power in the Chuwi CoreBook X is provided by the Intel Core i5-8259U processor which has 4 cores and 8 processing threads. This processor has a base frequency of 2.3GHz z and can reach 3.8GHz z in Boost mode. In addition, this processor integrates the Intel Iris Plus 655 iGPU that works at a base frequency of 300MHz and can reach 1.05GHz. The CoreBook X is accompanied by no less than 16GB of DDR4 RAM memory and a 256GB SSD in M.2 format has been provided for storage.

As far as hardware is concerned, the Chuwi MiniBook is powered by an 8th-generation Intel Core M3-8100Y processor. All this is accompanied by 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal space, and M.2 slot for SSD, resulting in one of the most powerful pocket notebooks, capable of performing like a larger laptop.

    Features

For this CoreBook X, a USB 3.0 port, a micro-SD card reader, a 3.5mm jack connector and a USB-C port have been chosen. What the latter offers us is great versatility, since we can through a HUB add elements for data transfer, audio transfer, and even video transfer. CoreBook X has a 46.2Wh battery has been provided that guarantees autonomy of up to 8 hours in average use. So we can work or study anywhere without major problems.

And Chuwi Minibook has two USB-A ports (3.2 Gen 1 and 2.0) and a USB-C port installed on the side of the case. There is also a mini HDMI, a micro SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm jack. The device works according to Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. The battery measures 26.6 watt-hours.

    Verdict

Both Notebooks are perfect for anyone looking for a small and powerful mini notebook. The technical equipment is excellent for the asking price. Just a little different in design and performance. Chuwi Minibook has mini designs but compromises in performance, on the other hand, In Corebook X you can get a 14-inch laptop with strong hardware. You can select any of them according to your preferences.
