Samsung will display innovative OLED products of various sizes at CES 2023. Among them, “Flex Hybrid” is very peculiar. Samsung calls it a prototype of future notebook computers and gives a rendering.
The left side of the Samsung Flex Hybrid OLED is a foldable design, and the right side is a sliding design, which can extend the 10.5-inch screen in 4:3 to a large 12.4-inch screen in 16:10.
For certain tasks that require a device with a larger display, such as watching movies or working on documents, the display will be a breakthrough technology.
In addition to Flex Hybrid OLED, Samsung will also display two OLED panels, Flex Slidable Solo and Flex Slidable Duet, at CES 2023. The Flex Slidable Solo expands from a 14-inch screen to a 17.3-inch screen, while the Flex Slidable Duet expands from a 14-inch screen to a 17.3-inch screen on either side.
Although these concept products are very interesting, whether they can be put into commercial use is another matter. After all, mass production of these products is not easy and the cost will be very high.
