Computer maker ECS has been selling Liva-branded minicomputers and has expanded its lineup to include a variety of shapes, sizes and performance scenarios.
ECS unveiled new Liva-branded mini PCS at Computex, including the company’s first models powered by 13th-generation Intel Raptor Lake chips.
The ECS Liva Z5 Plus is a compact computer that measures 148mm x 120mm x 38mm (IGeekphone note: 5.8 “x 4.7” x 1.5 “), supports 15W Intel Raptor Lake-U series processors and up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory.
The ECS Liva Z5 Plus also has an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe Gen 4 solid-state storage, an M.2 2230 slot for wireless cards, a 19V / 90W power supply, and supports up to four monitors through a set of ports, including:
1 DisplayPort
2 HDMI
1 USB4 Gen 2 (with DisplayPort alternate mode)
Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports
Two 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports
1 3.5mm audio jack
ECS also showed off the Liva Z5E Plus model, which is nearly identical in most respects, with a taller case at 54 mm (2.1 in) in height to make room for an optional 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD.
The Liva Z5E Plus also has some additional port space with the option of two COM ports or an HDMI input for video capture applications.
The third ECS model, the ECS Liva Z5F Plus, features a passive cooling system and has a 242 mm x 120 mm x 30 mm (9.5 “x 4.7” x 1.2 “) case size with a heat sink at the top for passive heat dissipation.
The Z5F has most of the same features as the Z5E, including support for an optional 2.5-inch drive and COM port, but no HDMI input option.
ECS has not yet announced pricing or availability for the new products.
