Redmi Note 12 Turbo VS Honor X50 Comparison Review

    HabibBy HabibJuly 26, 2023
Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Honor X50 are prominent contenders among the vast array of mid-range mobile phones priced above 1,000 yuan. While both phones share the same price category, they exhibit striking differences in various aspects, making their choice relatively straightforward.

    Hardware Performance

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo boasts the cutting-edge second-generation Snapdragon 7+ processor, manufactured using the advanced TSMC 4nm process. Surpassing expectations for a mid-range SOC, its architecture closely resembles the Snapdragon 8+ series, achieving an impressive performance score exceeding one million. The phone’s power efficiency also remains stable, contributing to its exceptional gaming performance.

In contrast, the Honor X50 features the first-generation Snapdragon 6 processor, also utilizing the 4nm process, albeit from Samsung. While this processor is reliable and steady, it falls notably short compared to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo regarding raw performance.

    Display

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo boasts a 6.67-inch direct-facing screen with 12-bit color support, a high-frequency PWM dimming of 1920Hz, and a sharp 1080P resolution. Its display quality and eye protection rank among the upper echelon within its price range.

On the other hand, the Honor X50 sports a slightly larger 6.78-inch 1.5K curved screen, supporting an impressive 1.07 billion colors, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 1200X2652 resolution. Furthermore, it offers additional features like a 300Hz touch sampling rate and a peak brightness of 1200nit, making it an appealing choice for those who prioritize brightness, resolution, and an enhanced touch experience.

    Cameras

Redmi Note12 Turbo is equipped with a 16-megapixel high-definition selfie camera and a powerful 64-megapixel primary rear camera, supplemented by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. While the lens specifications might seem modest, they offer a comprehensive range of functionalities, catering to all essential photography needs.

Honor X50, on the other hand, features an 8-megapixel selfie camera and an impressive 100-megapixel primary rear camera. While it forgoes an ultra-wide-angle lens, it prioritizes practicality with a focus on the primary rear camera. Although the main camera delivers excellent results, it lacks OIS optical image stabilization, potentially affecting stability during capture.

    Battery

Redmi Note 12 Turbo houses a 5000mAh battery and supports 67W flash charging, striking a balanced combination of capacity and charging speed. Honor X50, however, packs a more substantial 5800mAh battery, albeit with a slightly slower 35W flash charging speed. This difference grants the Honor X50 a significant advantage in battery life.

    Verdict

In terms of pricing, the Honor X50 offers a more economical option, with a price tag approximately 200 yuan lower than the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. For users who prioritize aspects beyond gaming performance, the Honor X50 is a viable consideration due to its comparable features.

On the other hand, the Note 12Note12 Turbo showcases superior specifications, making it the ultimate choice for avid gamers and users who seek top-notch performance.

In conclusion, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Honor X50 present distinct advantages tailored to different user preferences, simplifying the selection process for prospective buyers.
