The Redmi K60 series has introduced its latest member, the Redmi K60 Ultra, which boasts top-level performance as the flagship variant. In comparison to the Redmi K60 released six months prior, the prices for the 12GB+256GB version remain similar.

So, what enhancements does the Redmi K60 Ultra offer compared to the Redmi K60? Let’s delve into this topic below, especially for those interested in purchasing a Redmi phone.

    Redmi K60

Prices: Starting from 2199 yuan for 12GB+256GB, 2499 yuan for 12GB+512GB, and 2899 yuan for 16GB+1TB.

Configuration: Powered by a Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 (reduced frequency version) processor, with LPDDR5+UFS3.1 storage. The front features a 2k high-definition flagship direct screen. It houses a 5500mAh battery supporting 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The rear setup includes a 64-megapixel anti-shake 6p main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

Design: Dimensions are 162.78×75.44×8.59mm, weighing 204g. Built with a glass back shell/plain leather back shell + plastic frame material, along with a screen plastic bracket.

    Redmi K60 Ultra

Configuration: Equipped with Snapdragon 8Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5x+UFS4.0 storage. The front features a 1.5k high-definition flagship direct screen with an independent display chip x7. It holds a 5000mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging. The rear setup comprises a 50-megapixel Sony IMX800 outsole anti-shake 7p main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It’s also IP68 dustproof and waterproof.

Design: Dimensions measure 162.15×75.7×8.49mm, weighing 204g. It features a glass back shell/plain leather back shell + plastic frame material, without a screen plastic bracket.

In comparison, notable improvements emerge in several areas.

    Performance

The Redmi K60 Ultra upgrades to the Dimensity 9200+ processor with flagship storage, enhancing performance. The berserk engine is now at 2.0, achieving a comprehensive score of 1.77 million points. This stands superior to the Redmi K60, which only scores 1.12 million points. The gap is evident, and the Redmi K60 Ultra promises a more potent gaming experience. Moreover, the Redmi K60 Ultra offers 24GB+1TB of large memory, ensuring smoother operations.

    Screen

While the Redmi K60 Ultra has a slightly lower 1.5k resolution than the standard K60, its overall quality excels. With a high refresh rate of 144Hz, PWM dimming of 2880Hz, and a peak brightness of 2600 nits, along with the x7 independent display chip, the Ultra variant provides an impressive display. On the other hand, the Redmi K60 features a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 1400 nits. Comparatively, the K60 Ultra delivers a brighter, smoother, and more eye-friendly screen.

    Battery

Both phones excel in battery life. The standard Redmi K60 offers a larger capacity battery and 30W wireless charging. In contrast, the Redmi K60 Ultra boasts 120W fast charging, significantly outpacing its wired counterpart in charging speed.

    Cameras

The Redmi K60 Ultra elevates its camera game, featuring a 20-megapixel Sony main front camera for better selfies. The rear main camera is upgraded to a 7p lens with a Sony IMX800 outsole sensor and f/1.7 large aperture, enhancing photo quality and light intake. The Redmi K60’s secondary camera specifications align closely.

    Workmanship

The Redmi K60 Ultra enhances its build with a one-piece metal DECO design, slightly curved fuselage edges, and improved waterproofing, leading to increased durability.

As soon as it hit the market, the Redmi K60 Ultra made a bombshell debut, with the 12GB+256GB version priced at only 2,599 yuan.

For those with a budget in the early 2000s, the Redmi K60 at 2,199 yuan for the 12GB+256GB version is a cost-effective option. With its Snapdragon 8+ processor, it offers affordability and usability for three to four years. Which model do you prefer? Feel free to leave your thoughts below.
