Xiaomi 14 Pro performance measurement: graphics performance hit Apple

On the evening of October 26, the Xiaomi 14 series was officially released, and the new machine launched Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen3 flagship chip. Before this, the performance of the small size of the Mi 14 has been lifted, so how is the performance of the larger size of the Mi 14 Pro? Today we are going to bring you the first test.

Antutu runs nearly 200W, and its graphics performance beats A17 Pro

Let’s first briefly review the technical specifications of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the running score of the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Maybe some friends do not have any concept of these running points, we pull a chip running score table for comparison.

It can be seen that compared with the previous flagship chip of the non-Apple camp, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, most of the running scores have been greatly improved, the Antutu running score of the test of comprehensive performance has been directly increased by 30W points, and the 3Dmark of the test graphics performance has been increased by nearly 30%.

In addition, the optical pursuit performance has also become a major aspect of the current test of mobile processors, here we used 3D Mark Solar bay to test the optical pursuit performance of the phone, the Snapdragon 8Gen 3 of the Xiaomi 14 Pro up to 7580, the score can be said to be “far ahead”.

I believe many friends will pay attention to such a question: Apple’s flagship chip A17 Pro this year, compared with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, what is the strength and weakness? To do this, we used the iPhone 15 Pro Max (with an iPhone 15) to run the score test, and the data is as follows.

From the running point of view, the single-core performance and multi-core performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU are still weaker than the Apple A17 Pro, and the single-core is still a large gap, but the multi-core can already see the taillight. The graphics performance of the GPU happens to be reversed, and the Snapdragon 8Gen 3 exceeds the Apple A17 Pro by a large margin.

At 60 frames, the “stress test” game is no longer enough

Since the running score is so strong, we naturally have no need to test the regular game, directly test the flagship of the previous generation also often fell into the frame rate of the dog “Collapse: Star Dome Railway”.

The test environment is full, the picture quality is set to very high +60 frames, the flooding effect is very high, and the Black Tower space Station scene is run for 15 minutes.

It can be seen that the Xiaomi 14 Pro can run all 60 frames, and the game runs very smoothly.

    Sum up

Finally, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 performance is indeed strong enough, the graphics performance directly hit the Apple A17 Pro, although the CPU performance is still some gap with Apple, but the multi-core performance has seen hope.

Of course, the flagship chip still can not avoid the topic of heat dissipation, want a more stable game performance output, the purchase of flagship mobile phone is recommended to look for a more large-scale heat dissipation system.
