Igeekphone News, September 24th: OPPO officially announced today that OPPO Watch S smartwatch will be globally launched on October 16th, and the new product is positioned as the “King of Thin and Light Watches”. Judging from the promotional video, the OPPO Watch S adopts the family design style of OPPO smartwatches, equipped with a round dial and a rotary crown.
According to the official definition of OPPO, the “S” in the OPPO Watch S smartwatch stands for “Slim”, which is used to express the thin and light attribute of the new watch. In addition, the teaser poster released by OPPO today shows that the OPPO Watch S is “so light that you can hardly feel it and so thin that you can fly” (the specific thickness and weight have not been disclosed by OPPO for the time being).

According to a previous report by Igeekphone, it was revealed that the thickness of OPPO’s first light smartwatch is less than 9mm, which should be the thinnest round watch currently available on the market. The overall smoothness of the new system is quite good, comparable to a mobile phone operating system. There are also surprises in the health configuration. It is expected to refer to this OPPO Watch S watch. This watch will be equipped with a dual-core architecture of Snapdragon W5+BES2800 MCU, supporting all-weather health monitoring.

For reference, OPPO launched the Watch X2 series of smartwatches earlier this year, including the standard version and the Mini version. The standard version of OPPO Watch X2 was released in February 2025. It features a 46mm round dial design, a titanium alloy bezel and a sapphire crystal, and supports non-sensitive hypertension risk assessment, independent eSIM and wechat watch edition functions. The Mini version was released in April of the same year, featuring a slim and light design as well as travel protection functions. It is equipped with a Snapdragon W5 processor and supports independent eSIM and real-time location sharing.
