Igeekphone reported on January 12th that the open-source hardware company Khadas announced last weekend its ongoing concept three-in-one project Mind Go. The aim is to achieve a flexible balance between performance and portability by switching between the forms of notebook computer, tablet computer, and screen-equipped mini host.

Mind Go’s core product is a fanless cooling tablet computer equipped with speakers and a front camera, and it supports the Mind Pencil stylus. The 11.6-inch LCD prototype weighs approximately 600g and is about 6.1mm thick; by switching to an OLED panel, the thickness is expected to be reduced to about 5.5mm and the weight further decreased.

Switching to the laptop form factor, at this point, Mind Go is connected to the keyboard with a touchpad. This keyboard module has a built-in battery, and when combined with the main battery capacity of the device, it amounts to 45Wh, which can support 9 hours of local video playback.

In the desktop (Igeekphone Note: a mini host with a screen) mode, when the tablet is paired with the Mind Go Stand expansion dock, the latter not only provides additional I/O expansion capabilities but also integrates a cooling system, resulting in a performance increase of twice that of the tablet mode.
Khadas Mind Go is currently in the early development stage. The company is seeking feedback on aspects such as the processor platform, screen size and panel type.
