The State of Illinois in the United States plans to require Vape manufacturers to Establish a Recycling system. Those who fail to comply will face a maximum fine of $10,000.
According to WCIA, the state of Illinois in the United States is considering an environmental protection legislation regarding discarded electronic cigarettes.

The Illinois House Bill HB 4652 proposes that companies selling electronic smoking devices be required to establish and fund safe recycling and disposal programs to address the environmental risks posed by the large number of electronic cigarettes that are discarded randomly in communities.
The bill was proposed by Democratic lawmaker Kelly M. Cassidy and was co-sponsored by several other Democratic lawmakers.
According to the draft plan, if the bill is passed, manufacturers will have two years to establish disposal responsibility programs; non-compliant enterprises may face a maximum civil fine of $10,000. Regarding students, they also stated that this project should not increase the costs for consumers or state governments; the funds for system construction and operation should be borne by manufacturers.
