Currently, the engineering model is equipped with an 8500mAh battery, but it is still attempting to increase the capacity. In terms of charging, it not only supports 100W wired fast charging but also adds 50W wireless fast charging, keeping pace with high-end flagship models.
REDMI K100 series is expected to be released in October. It should be noted that in the current industry context, the price increase of this new model is inevitable. However, it has been reported that the increase will be lower than that of similar competing products.
Previously, the K90 standard edition was priced at 2,599 yuan or above, and the K90 Pro Max was priced at 3,999 yuan or above. It is expected that the K100 standard edition will be priced at 2,999 yuan or above, and the K100 Pro Max will reach 4,599 yuan or above.
The increase in the costs of core components such as processors and memory is the main reason. The K100 standard version is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5, while the Pro Max version is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6.
However, with the price increase, other configurations of the K100 series are also expected to be upgraded. Currently, the entire series is testing a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and the Pro Max version even tested a 200-megapixel main camera. This will create the strongest imaging system in the K series’ history.
